Someone Mixed the Aston Martin DB11 With a Fiat 124 Spider and It Actually Looks Good
The Aston Martin DB11 is an amazing car. And for what it is, despite the lower niche it sits in, the Fiat 124 Spider – and Mazda MX-5 Miata for the matter – is just as awesome in its own way. The former is a thoroughbred sports car that, in its base form, pumps out 503 horsepower from a turbocharged V-8. The latter, on the other hand, is good for a measly-in-comparison 164 horsepower from a much smaller 1.4-liter four-banger. What if things were different, though? What if the Aston Martin DB11 actually carried around a significant portion of Fiat 124 DNA? It sounds outlandish, but one rendering artist set out to find out, and the truth is, it actually looks pretty awesome – let’s just hope that a 1.4-liter engine is nowhere to be found.
2019 Fiat Centoventi Concept
For its 120th birthday, Fiat went to the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to present a concept car, except it’s really not a concept car. It’s called the Centoventi Concept, which literally translates to “one hundred and twenty” in our language. It’s not the most creative concept name in the world, but it’ll do, especially when you begin to understand what it’s really all about. Fiat’s press release calls the Centoventi Concept a vehicle that “perfectly expresses the Italian brand’s idea of electric mass mobility in the near future.” What that phrase doesn’t tell you is that the Centoventi Concept is a lot more than just a representation of Fiat’s vision for its future electric. The concept is also a blank canvas that invites user customization. It’s a design-your-own ride that lets you personalize the car’s design from the ground up. Future urban mobility? Sure, the concept is that, too. But it’s really a modular platform for creativity. The Centoventi Concept doesn’t really have a “look,” in large part because that “look” will depend on how you design it.
If there is one show that really brings the best out of Chrysler’s MOPAR tuning division, it is SEMA in Las Vegas.
Topping its past SEMA showcar roster, it looks like Mopar is once again pretty busy developing the models it will display in Las Vegas during the 2013 SEMA Show.
This year Mopar will bring no less than 20 heavily modified models, coming from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat and SRT. Plus a few buyer customers from Chrysler’s Facebook challenge prize-winners.
The first teaser images revealed today show:an updated Jeep Cherokee in various flavors some hot Fiat 500’s a Mopar Ram 1500 and the latest look for the Mopar Chrysler 300.
Those of you whom will be in Las Vegas this year will also have the chance to take a first look at the latest Jeep Performance Parts, developed by Mopar Off-Road Division and even for sale in many Jeep dealers.
The 2013 SEMA will open its door on November 5th, but stay tuned for all the pre-show news!

Meet the ultimate Fiat 500 Abarth: the new Corsa Stradale concept from Zender Italia. This bad-ass racing hatchback wears a milky metallic shade of white over a custom carbon-fiber body kit. Even better, creator Zender Italia promises turbo power and road stance so far unseen from the world’s favorite pocket rocket, even on the latest Abarth 595.
The 500 Corsa Stradale is gorgeous, with a huge track stretch and fender flares so wide that it almost looks like it has square dimensions all around. To go with that revamp outside is a butter-toffee leather cockpit and 240 horsepower from its 1.4-liter turbocharged stinger up front.
This upgrade is a concept built by styling and aftermarket equipment manufacturer, Zender Italia. This division of the company is enjoying a rebirth, even as the Zender Germany off-shoot fell on hard times in 2008. All signs from the Italian side of the company point to its intention to produce these designs for sale to buyers, if there is enough interest.
Would the Zender Italia upgrade let the 500 Corsa Stradale trample the still-speedy Mini Cooper GP? Even better; how might its extra 80 horsepower improve the sprint pace of the nimble U.S.-market 500 Abarth?

If you are a fan of the Pininfarina Design House then Alessio Minchella and Alessandro Camorali are names very familiar to you. Among the cars they have designed the most famous ones are Ferrari 599XX, 599GTO and 458 Italia. In 2008 they have founded "Camal" and the first car to be designed by their little company is 500 Marcia Corta ("Short Gear" in Italian).
A quick look to their car will unveil a design language inspired by classic Abarth models and retro rally cars. The exterior package includes new new front and rear bumpers, sideskirts, spoiler, and competition-style quad spotlight pod. As their concept is based on the 500 EsseEsse, under the hood you will find the same 1.4 liter turbocharged engine that delivers 160 HP. But it will be combined with a new exhaust system.
The 500 Marcia Corta is just a concept at the moment, but Camal is currently looking for partners to help with production and distribution.
While Pininfarina is busy designing models for Ferrari, concept designer Peter Norris is taking a break from his job in the video games and entertainment industry to design a future luxury sports car concept that is "clean, unfussy, elegant and fast." These attributes led him to the Pininfarina Coupe Concept, a front engined model combined with a rear wheel drive system.
Norris’ design inspiration for the Pininfarina Coupe Concept came from the love of his very own Fiat Coupe 16v Turbo with some Ferrari lines thrown in to polish it over. The Pininfarina Coupe’s look is characterized by the ultra low roofline and the accentuated front and rear fenders. The sleek profile is exaggerated further with large wheels that visually shorten the height of the sports car. At the back of the Pininfarina are a set of C-shaped LED taillights.
When talking about his concept, Peter Norris said: "much of my work is focused strongly on science fiction and the distant future, but with this project I wanted to create an elegant and unfussy design with classic lines that could be on the road today."
“The Pininfarina styling inside as much as outside just oozes with Italian flair and really was, and still is different to anything else on the road. Some people have referred to it as a “baby Ferrari”.
Somehow we don’t see a luxury sports car like this toting around the 190 HP 2.0L 16V Turbo engine as seen on the Fiat Coupe, but since the Pininfarina Coupe Concept was also inspired by Ferrari, we’d love to see something along the lines of the 458 Italia’s 570 HP 4,499 cc V8 engine. Not a likely scenario, but we can dream.
