With the way Ford is elevating the Raptor brand, it seems like its focus is on these off-road beasts more than on electrification
The company has three products already under the Raptor umbrella, one confirmed product that will arrive this year, and two that are still a thought for now
F-150 Raptor:
It is currently in its third generation and comes with a ton of off-road gear to distinguish itself from the standard F-150
Until the Ram TRX arrived, it was pretty much all alone in this niche – No offense to the Chevy Silverado ZR2
Bronco Raptor:
It was unveiled recently and it is an off-road version of an off-road SUV. That sums up the point I’m making about Ford elevating the Raptor brand
Even Jeep doesn’t have such an extreme version (not talking about the Xtreme Recon package) of the Wrangler in its portfolio, thus making the Bronco Raptor a unique offering
There’s good news, too. The new Ranger Raptor is finally crossing the forbidden door and coming to the U.S. and Canada
Ranger Raptor R:
This is just an abstract thought for now, or more like wishful thinking. A few folks from the Ford Australia division teased the idea of a Ranger Raptor with a V-8 engine
It doesn’t seem like something that will happen in the near future, but the fact that Ford Australia even has it in mind goes in line with how the automaker plans to elevate the Raptor brand
Everest Raptor:
Imagine a family SUV with the best of the off-road credentials. Sounds exciting, huh? Well, Ford says if there’s a demand for it, it will make an Everest Raptor
