Galpin Auto Sports has always demonstrated an unbridled desire to be one step ahead of the game as far as their custom vehicles are concerned. Their latest program for the 2011 Ford Explorer is no different. Fitted with what is arguably one of the most comprehensive tuning programs for the Ford SUV to date, the Explorer XXVI is primed and ready for action at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show.

There are many things that stand out with this Explorer, beginning with a one-of-a-kind Matte Bruised Blue pearl paint finish designed by GAS and mixed by PPG. That eye-catching color is complimented by matte finished headlights and taillights and a custom fabricated grille. Suspension set-ups courtesy of Eibach springs and a new set of 24" Savini wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires complete the exterior program for the Explorer XXVI.

And then there’s the interior, which is a whole new conversation piece in itself. The seats have been dressed in custom leather with matching Stingray inserts, suede door panels, and a custom suede headliner. Moreover, the Explorer XXVI also has a radical surround sound system that includes 26 JL Audio speakers wrapped in LED trim, producing a hair-raising output of 2,000 watts. Finally, an iPad was also installed in the SUV, as well as a 360-degree camera that lets you keep tabs on just about everybody that’s eyeballing your insane SUV.

UPDATE 12/10/11: Official photos of the Galpin Auto Sports’ Ford Explorer XXVI program have officially been released. Check out all the snapshots of the souped-up ’Bowtie SUV’ in the gallery below!

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read full bio

It still looks good on its matte body paint, but I think it will look better if they add some style and design on its exterior. Anyway, I hope that this one is not an electric SUV vehicle.

I still prefer my own Explorer into a lighter and decent body paint, but it also looks great on that blue pearl paint. Anyway, I hope that they already do some updates on its interior. smiley

Well, I hope that its interior is impressive as well as its exterior appearance. I can say that the overall outside appearances of this Explorer are truly so striking, and this kind of car is very satisfying to have.

It looks absolutely very elegant in its exterior appearance and for an SUV, I must say that it looks so massive on its platform most specially on its wheel, which is very unlike with SUV cars.

I wonder what will be the engine specification of this one? Well, I hope that it is impressive as with its classy exterior appearance. I am really hoping to see this one soon!

The one-of-a-kind Matte Bruised Blue pearl body paint of this Ford Explorer is really stood out on it, which is very impressive. I also noticed that it still looks so massive on its wheels.
