Some may think that the 2012 SEMA Auto Show is just for sports cars getting a boost here and there, but in reality, every car segment is represented at this tuning free-for-all, including the Ford Escape. Ford is showing up to Las Vegas with the Urban Escape Adventurer developed by VACCAR. According to Ford, this project aims to "visually express the potential of the all-new Ford Escape. It represents the ideal balance of rugged off-road attitude, upscale comfort and potent EcoBoost engine."

Not many details have been provided for the Escape just yet, but it looks like the Urban Escape Adventurer will feature a very cool body kit, a gray exterior paint finish, and a new set of wheels.

As far as power is concerned, the Urban Escape Adventurer is run by a 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine combined with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Nothing has been said on whether or not this engine will bring some boosted power or not, but we’ll find out as soon as the 2012 SEMA Auto Show opens its doors.

marry sure is right about that. plus, the fear factor means my kids will be safer in this car, as no one would dare cut me while i drive this little monster smiley

right karla? exactly what i had in mind. get the best food for my kids and making this process and adventure for them as well.

i think gabe is right. you can do whatever you want with this car, from shopping to going and getting your food straight from the farm!

i think this new ford escape is perfect for my needs: it is big so my kids will be safe, it has a boot big enough for my groceries and we can all go road tripping in the week-end!

although it does not look like, i think this kind of cars are perfect for a woman: they are big enough to make other drivers think twice before they talk back at you!

wow, i love this car! it would be great for dropping the kids to school. it sure would be cooler than my husband’s car!

SUV remakes are usually pimped up versions. but this one isn’t, and it looks great.

this remake of the escape sure makes it more desirable. ford should make mate colors an optional extra.

the SEMA show sure has it all. and this car is something apart from the regular participants to such a show.

the grey mate finish makes the car look more aggressive. the blackwheels add to that too.

it looks like this car can do it all: take you to work, shopping for the week, take the kids to school without having them feel embarrassed and go out for the week-end.

this car sure is a very good car for a normal family. it is good for the city but you can also go camping with it or get a caravan attached to it.

this interpretation of the car has a good balance between the urban aim of the car and its off-road potential.

the car looks like it’s ready for an urban adventure. makes me think about the nissan juke commercial.

i love the way the black wheels look on the mate gray car. it is an urban cruiser ideed.

the car looks good. it shows it has off-road capabilities and the color underlines that.
