Just when you thought Hennessey->ke1863 couldn’t be any more mental, here it is developing a program for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT that can legitimately give the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat something to sweat about. The American tuner famous for his Venom GT->ke4149 has developed a program for the Mustang that’s tantamount to giving it performance-enhancing drugs. It’s a comprehensive kit that includes exterior, interior, and performance upgrades that could give the Mustang as much as 700 horsepower. The programs is called the HPE700 for a reason, right?

But here’s the bad news; Hennessey’s only building 500 units of the HPE700, making it important for interested customers to pick up their phones and at least express interest in buying one. Each program costs $59,500 and that includes a Mustang GT. That’s a pretty sweet deal relative to the rage and fury your Mustang GT will have under its hood.

Should we have really expected anything less from Hennessey? I think not...

Ford Mustang HPE700 By Hennessey in detail

We’re under no illusions that the real meat and bones of Hennessey’s HPE700 program for the 2015 Mustang lies under that hood. But like the aftermarket company said, customers can also opt for some personalized touches to the Mustang, including a front splitter, side sills, a rear diffuser, and a rear lip spoiler all made from carbon fiber.

A set of 20-inch Hennessey H10 wheels are available as an option. These wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 tires. Buyers can also opt for a set of Brembo brake package that includes 15.1-in. front rotors.

This is where it really gets interesting. See, Hennessey’s got an HPE700 Supercharged upgrade that injects 7.25 PSI of boost into the Mustang’s 5.0-liter, V-8 engine. Hennessey also installed a high-flow throttle body, a new stainless-steel exhaust system, upgraded injectors and fuel pump, and a new ECU calibration. These components all do their parts in bumping the engine’s output from 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, to 717 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 632 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. Those numbers now allows the Mustang to hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds to go with a quarter-mile time of 11.2 seconds at 131 mph.

Hennessey also includes a few other bits to help people recognize that this is no normal Mustang GT. These aesthetic add-on components include Hennessey , HPE700 and Supercharged exterior badging, Hennessey floor mats and serial-numbered plaques in the engine compartment and on the dash;.
