With the redesigned, 2015 Ford Mustang ready to hit the streets in late 2014, America’s muscle car-focused tuning shops are rolling out one upgrade after another for the sixth-generation pony. Specialists such as Saleen, Hennessey and Vortech have already announced their products, promising to give customers comprehensive visual updates and a host of drivetrain tweaks with outputs in excess of 1,000 horsepower. The latest company to join the 2015 Mustang tuning fun is Steeda Autosports.

Originally a Ford-based racing team, Steeda has been modifying Mustangs since 1998. For 2015, the Florida-based shop is back in the Mustang business with a series of brand-new parts for the sixth-gen pony, ranging from mild drivetrain upgrades to suspension enhancements and lightweight wheels. Steeda’s offerings are mostly available for the 5.0-liter GT model, but some parts can also be used on the entry-level V6 model. Additionally, the company has developed several updates for the EcoBoost-powered pony as well, with more to follow in 2015.

Sadly, Steeda doesn’t offer any visual-enhancing parts beyond two different types of rims, but that’s likely to change in the future. Meanwhile, customers looking to replace the factory wheels with something more appealing can choose from two designs, each coming in two distinct finishes. The twin five-spoke wheels are available in sizes 20-by-9.5 inches or 20-by-11 inches, both finished in black with a machined lip, while the seven-spoke rollers come in either black or gunmetal gray.

With the new wheels also comes a Brembo GT front brake kit with either black, red, silver or yellow calipers.

Moving over to horsepower-enhancing updates, Steeda is offering a competition cat-back exhaust and an Airaid cold air intake for the Mustang GT. A similar piece is available for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost ’Stang.

A complete performance handling package adds front and rear sway bars, sports springs and a strut-tower brace for a improved handling and reduced body roll. These parts can be bought separately as well. As usual, Steeda’s stock also includes Ford Racing parts. For the 2015 Mustang, the inventory features 3.73:1 and 3.15:1 IRS ring gear and pinion sets, a lowering spring kit (only for the GT model), and a short-throw shifter.

New Steeda updates for the 2015 Mustang are likely to follow, so make sure you stay tuned to TopSpeed for further details.

The Ford Mustang was completely redesigned for the 2015 model year, receiving a brand new exterior, a revised cabin, and numerous drivetrain and chassis updates, including an independent rear suspension. Three engines are available, starting with the proven, 3.7-liter, V-6 unit and ending with the range-topping, 5.0-liter V-8. An all-new, 2.3-liter EcoBoost motivates the mid-range trim.

The V-6 is rated at 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the turbocharged four-pot makes 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of twist. The familiar 5.0-liter V-8 now cranks out 435 ponies and 400 pound-feet of torque, a 15-horsepower and 10-pound-feet improvement over 2014.

Pricing for the 2015 Mustang begins from $23,600 for the V-6 model and $25,170 for the EcoBoost. The naturally aspirated GT model retails from $32,100.
