Big news from FoMoCo on its supercar. It's still powered by the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6, but for the 2020 model year, power goes up from 647 horsepower to 660 horsepower. Torque stays unchanged (550 pound-feet), but it's now available within a broader band.

More powah means there's the need for better cooling, so the 2020 Ford GT gets extra engine cooling and airflow updates. The most significant change involves the 50 percent increase in airflow for the buttress air ducts, but Ford Performance also threw in larger intercoolers.

The V-6 also received gallery-cooled pistons and high-energy ignition coils, while the suspension damping in Track Mode is said to be even firmer, for better composure in high-speed corners. Last but not least, the 2020 Ford GT comes with a standard Akrapovič titanium exhaust setup which weighs nine pounds less than the stock system. It should also spice up the V-6's tune, so Ford is killing two birds with one stone here.

Customers looking for a raw attire for their 2020 Ford GT can now opt for the limited-edition Ford GT Liquid Carbon. It basically sheds the paint off the supercar's body, exposing the carbon fiber through a special clear coat that acts as protective barrier against the elements and other debris. Carbon fiber wheels are standard on this special edition, but you can customize quite a lot through optional bits and bobs such as:

-* titanium lug nuts

-* six-point racing harness anchors

-* five interior options

-* five caliper colors

-* two over-the-top stripe packs

Deliveries for the 2020 Ford GT are currently ongoing, but keep in mind that production will cease come 2022.
