Ford revealed the 2021 F-150 a few months back and it seems like a complete package. The exterior feels fresh and the interior comes with new features like Max Recline Seats and Interior Work Surface. When it comes to the drivetrains, Ford even introduced a new hybrid mill for the 2021 model along with a power boost on some of the existing engines.

One thing missing, however, was the Raptor version of the truck. Ford is still working on it and hasn’t introduced the 2021 F-150 Raptor, but just like the Bronco and the story of the missing V-8 engine, PaxPower has swooped in to capitalize on the opportunity.

PaxPower has introduced a few packages for the 2021 model year F-150 that come with bigger tires, heavy-duty steel bumpers, and a massive power boost that makes it more powerful than the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX.

Called Alpha F-150, PaxPower has introduced multiple levels of upgrades for the 2021 Ford truck. The base package comes with a lot of stuff that makes the truck look much bigger on the outside when compared to the standard 2021 F-150. The aftermarket company has equipped the truck with 17-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires. To accommodate these big tires and the wider track, PaxPower has upgraded the fender flares which increase the truck’s width by three inches. There are some exclusive graphics, too, and a new vented hood is also in place to let the big engine breathe comfortably.

Unlike general beefed-up mods with a lift kit, PaxPower has replaced every suspension component on the stock truck with the Raptor’s system. This includes the upper and lower control arms, axles, brake lines, steering links, and Fox shocks. The company has also included a dual exhaust system. The base package is priced at $18,950. Additional upgrades like heavy-duty steel bumpers with integrated lighting can be had for $6,950.

Even though all these changes give the truck a Raptor vibe, how does it stand out from the Raptor offered by Ford? In the stock form, the 5.0-liter, V-8 engine on the 2021 F-150 makes 400 horses and 410 pound-feet of torque, but it won’t be enough for a truck of this demeanor. PaxPower has thought of that, too, and is offering a Stage 2 upgrade that includes Whipple’s 3.0-liter supercharger. It runs on eight psi of boost and helps the truck churn out 770 ponies and 675 pound-feet of torque!

These figures are better than the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, which makes 702 horses and 650 pound-feet of twist.

If the V-8 engine with the supercharger upgrade is a little too much for your liking, PaxPower is offering upgrades for a couple of other engines as well. There’s one for the 3.5-liter, V-6 EcoBoost engine that makes 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of twist in the stock form on the 2021 F-150. The same engine in the 2020 F-150 Raptor made 450 horses and 510 pound-feet of torque. PaxPower’s upgrade pushes the output to 500 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of twist! This comes courtesy of a cold air intake, larger intercooler, and engine calibration. The company has priced this upgrade package at $2,950, which is quite reasonable.

If you want a powerful diesel, you can opt for the 3.0-liter, V-6 Power Stroke engine. In the standard F-150, the mill doles out 250 horses and 440 pound-feet of torque. There’s no word on the transmission, so all the engines are most likely paired with the standard 10-speed automatic gearbox.

When you go to reputed aftermarket companies, the benefit is not just the good quality of work, but also the unhampered warranty and their relationship with Ford. You have the option of including the costs of these upgrades into Ford Credit Financing. PaxPower can work with the Ford dealerships, collect your new truck, equip the packages you like, which is generally a three-week process, and deliver the truck straight to your home.
