In the same time with the launch of the new-generation Fiesta, Ford added a new model to the lineup: the new Fiesta Van. The new model was built on the three-door Fiesta passenger car, but it offers extra load volume, making this the perfect grocery carrier in busy, European cities. The 2022 Fiesta Van will be offered in two trim levels: Trend and Sport, and first deliveries will be made in early 2022.

Exterior and interior look

The new Fiesta Van will benefit from the same exterior design look launched with the new generation Fiesta. But, the Van’s the exterior design will differ depending on the trim level.

For example, the Trend series will features a broad upper grille with strong horizontal strakes and high-gloss chrome surround. It will ride on 15-inch steel wheels, and will be offered with a choice of two exterior colors: Boundless Blue and Beautiful Berry. Like all the other Fiesta models, the new Van model will be offered with a choice of fuel-efficient performance with EcoBoost Hybrid 48‑volt mild hybrid and EcoBoost petrol powertrains. In certain markets, the Fiesta Van will also be offered with E85-compatible powertrains.

The EcoBoost mild-hybrid Fiesta van delivers 124 horsepower.

It features a belt-driven stater/generator that serves in place of an alternator and allows for energy recuperation during braking and coasting.

Power recuperated is stored within a 48-volt lithium-ion, air-cooled battery back. This system also helps power some electrical systems within the van and can provide torque assistance during heavy acceleration. The auto start-stop system is capable of restarting the engine in just 350 milliseconds after the accelerator is pressed, essentially eliminating any lag when taking off from a stop. The system will shut down the engine anytime you’re coasting to a stop below 25 km/h (15 mph) even when the vehicle is in gear with the clutch pedal depressed.
