Much of the pickup world’s attention has been on the Tesla Cybertruck these days, but before anyone starts to forget, the Ford F-150 remains the king of all trucks. It’s the standard-bearer in the segment, a distinction it has it more than earned. The F-150 also carries the distinction of being one of the most customizable trucks in the segment. It’s versatile enough that it can even spawn special edition models, one of which comes to us by way of Ford’s relationship with Indiana-based Tuscany Motor Company. The two companies are responsible for the F-150 Black Ops trucks, a special edition set that pays tribute to the armed forces of the United States. 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Baja Forged by LGE-CTS Motorsports
One of the baddest and meanest trucks to have graced this year’s SEMA Show is this Ford F-250 Super Duty Baja Forged by LGE-CTS Motorsports, a California-based aftermarket company. There is nothing to not like about this truck. It looks vintage, it has the ‘Baja’ identity, and it has the old-school persona attached to it. The Baja Forged Super Duty is an all-in-one mobile command center, workshop, and campsite that will be utilized as a chase truck for the Baja Forged Ford Ranger that was launched by the company at last year’s SEMA Show. Such is the versatility of the truck that even Ford calls this the “Swiss army knife for the modern adventurer.” Need we say anything more about it?
2019 Ford F-150 Sidewinder by Long McArthur Ford
Although there are many aftermarket tuners in the industry who can customize your vehicles brilliantly, people are skeptical about going to them as it may void the factory warranty and who knows, maybe even mess around with insurance claims in worst case scenarios. I’m not talking about big shots like Hennessey, Roush, and the likes. It’s the other smaller, inexpensive players. It is merely a package to make your truck look prettier. However, the STX package is one of the cheapest ones out there and is actually a value-for-money proposition.

The ongoing paradigm shift towards SUVs and trucks has put a lot of pressure on automakers, especially the crown-bearer, Ford. Ford has literally been dominating the truck market for as long as one can remember. Its trucks used to be second to none, but that is changing now. With GMC and Ram stepping up their game and getting fierce with their own offerings, the Blue Oval has had to up the ante to continue sitting on the throne. The Ford Super Duty name is not just another marketing tactic; Ford has built this truck differently right from its core - the chassis. The distinct chassis allows for higher towing and payload capabilities. Although the Super Duty series looks very similar to the lighter trucks, they are built using high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that shaves off a few hundred pounds while maintaining the structural integrity. Ford also made changes to make the Super Duty series more efficient by using stronger steel frame and chassis components.

The big difference now, except the fact that it’s based on the latest F-250, is that it’s no longer built by Ford. Instead, the truck is assembled and sold by Tuscany Motor Company.
Marketed as an "Official Harley-Davidson truck," this F-250 features an impressive amount of exclusive features, including a monochromatic paint scheme, loads of "Harley-Davidson" badges and logos, unique wheels, and a bespoke interior. Unlike its predecessor, this Harley-Davidson Edition rides on a special suspension designed by BDS for the motorcycle company. Let’s see what it offers.
2018 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition by Hennessey
More than two months after unveiling the Ford Mustang Heritage Edition, Hennessey is back at it with another special tuning program, this time for the Ford F-150 Raptor. Filed under the same “Heritage Edition” name, the F-150 Raptor gets a steady dose of upgrades, covering aesthetic, mechanical, and performance upgrades. Hennessey ties a bow on its mad creation with an engine upgrade that jacks up the V-8 engine’s output to 758 horsepower.
2018 Ford Expedition Texas Edition
Ford balled out at the 2018 Texas State Fair with a pair of special edition Expedition models, one of which was appropriately named the Explorer Texas Edition. Based on the 2019 Expedition Limited trim, the Texas Edition is perfectly identified by unique badging throughout its body. It’s short on visual upgrades like its counterpart, the Expedition Stealth Edition, but it stands out because of its emphasis on hauling, hence the inclusion of a cargo package and Ford’s Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package. 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT By BDS Suspension
Ford brought more than 50 vehicles to the 2017 SEMA Show, ranging from factory fresh models and high-horsepower Mustangs to SUVs and lifted trucks. That last one is exactly what we’ve got here – a massive F-250 Super Duty that’s been re-engineered to handle any off-road situation. Ford partnered with BDS Suspension in building what’s been dubbed “Project SD126: No Mission Is Impossible.
The truck started life as a 2017 F-250 Super Duty XLT with a regular cab and long bed powered by the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel and backed by the six-speed automatic transmission and stock 4WD system. BDS broke out the Sawzall and cut the long bed down. The wheelbase went from 142 inches to 126 inches, hints the SD126 name. From there came the suspension parts, new body panels, and reworked interior. Nearly every inch of the truck has been touched. Check out the details below.

2017 Ford F-150 RTR Muscle Truck
The 2017 SEMA Show is here, and as it happens every year, Ford brought a handful of modified F-150 pickup trucks to Las Vegas. Among them, there’s a beefed-up version created by the folks over at RTR Vehicles. Known mostly for tuning Ford Mustangs and for providing Vaughn Gittin Jr. with vehicles for the Formula Drift series, RTR used its experience in creating race-ready pony cars to put together a performance-oriented F-150.
RTR used a Lariat SuperCrew model as a base for this souped-up truck and add some of the features seen on its Gittin-prepped Mustang, most notably the D-shaped LED lights in the grille. Of course, the F-150 got a few unique touches as well. But, unlike the Mustang RTR, there’s no improvement in terms of horsepower and torque, although the truck now sports a wide range of chassis upgrades. So while it’s not as quick as the Raptor, it’s definitely more capable on the unbeaten path than a standard F-150.

2018 Ford F-22 F-150 Raptor
Ford Performance created a one-off F-150 Raptor styled after the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighter jet for a charity auction benefiting kids’ interest and participation in flying. Called the Gathering of Eagles, the annual event is hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association. This year, the auction raised $300,000 thanks to Ford’s donation of the “F-22 Raptor.” The truck obviously takes its name and styling cues from America’s premier fighter, going so far as to incorporate the jet’s silhouette into its grille and side mirrors. But that just scratches the surface of what Ford did to this 2018 F-150 Raptor Crew Cab.
The Raptor boasts a Whipple intercooler and other performance upgrades on its high-output, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, giving it an impressive 545 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque – a healthy improvement over its stock 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of twist. The bodywork received carbon fiber fender flairs, custom LED lighting, power-deploying running boards, an aggressive wheel and tire package, and that silver-over-black paint job. These, combined with other upgrades, helped the truck garner a $300,000 winning bid, beating out last year’s winning bid of $295,000 for a P-51D Mustang-themed 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 called Ole Yeller. Making the winning bid more special – it was from Gary Ackerman of Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas. Ackerman serves as Honorary Commander and Ambassador for the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

2018 Ford Expedition
Ford worked tirelessly to improve the current F-150 by reducing mass and adding efficient turbocharged engines all mounted on a high-strength steel frame. For 2018, those same advancements make their way to the all-new Expedition. Nearly every nut and bolt is new, even down to the drivetrain. Ford’s updated 3.5-liter EcoBoost with 375 horsepower is paired with the new 10-speed automatic transmission, bringing more power with better fuel efficiency. The Expedition’s body panels are now aluminum and its interior shares many design cues from the F-Series pickups.
The 2018 Expedition rides on a modified version of the F-150’s fully boxed steel frame, but uses a four-wheel independent suspension system for a smooth ride. Both the standard-length Expedition and long-wheelbase Expedition MAX versions return, but Ford says the three-row SUV drops more than 300 pounds over the outgoing model. Technology improvements are vast, as well, including all the modern active safety equipment like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. The in-dash tech also sees a big improvement, with Ford’s Sync 3 system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot for 10 devices in a 50-foot perimeter around the SUV. The familiar trim levels return, too, including XLT, Limited, and Platinum. The base XL trim is available for fleet customers as well. New for 2018 is an FX4 Off-Road package for the XLT trim. It brings added hardware for tackling harsh terrain, while set apart with visual changes.
Update 06/19/2017: Ford announced horsepower and torque specs for the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, along with a higher-output version in the Platinum trim. A new FX4 Off-Road package debuts for the XLT trim.
1963 Ford Cortina "Green Goddess"
Originally revealed in October of 1962, just a couple weeks away from the London Motor Show, Ford brought the Cortina to the masses as an affordable, cheap-to-produce, and cheap-to-run compact. Ford produced the Cortina for two decades, between 1962 and 1982, putting out five generations in that timespan. Thanks to its easily accessible pricing and promotion in films like Carry on Cabby, the Cortina was immensely popular, becoming England’s best-selling car in the ‘70s. The first generation alone sold over a million units, and the Cortina still enjoys a widespread enthusiast movement in the U.K. Now, there’s an outrageously well-maintained first-gen Cortina going up for auction, and it’s got less than 20,000 miles on the odometer, original everything, and looks like it just rolled out from the factory this morning.
This green old-school four-door comes in the top-spec 1500 GT trim from the 1963 model year, and it’s going under the hammer at the Historics at Brooklands classic car auction, near Weybridge, England, later next month. On average, the “Green Goddess” has traveled just a mile a day in the 53 years it’s been on the road, and should tempt any collector looking to get his hands on a British Ford classic.

Ford has pulled the covers off its newest, full-size, and only body-on-frame SUV today, the 2015 Ford Expedition. Still in its third generation, the Expedition gets a much-needed makeover that includes many of the designs and features its cousin, the Lincoln Navigator received just months prior.
Much has changed to better the Expedition and help with fuel economy and drivability, but much remains the same or carryover from the previous year. The biggest news under its resculpted hood is the addition of Ford’s bread-n-butter 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. Gone is the old 5.4-liter Triton V-8, leaving the EcoBoost as the Expedition’s only powerplant. Both the standard and EL, or extended length versions return with seating for five and eight passengers in high-riding comfort.
Speaking of comfort, Ford is bringing its popular, top-of-the-line Platinum series to the Expedition. The trim level ranks above the western-style King Ranch that previously held the top spot. Like the F-150s, the Platinum series will focus more on modern luxury with a clean, non-themed design aimed at more the ‘city folk’ type. MyFord Touch, SYNC, push-button start, blind sport warning, and even the F-150’s “Truck Apps” will be available.
Also new is Ford’s first-ever attempt at a continuously controlled damping suspension system. It features three driver-selectable drive modes that tailor the ride style to changing conditions. It’s designed to manage body motion, steering feedback, and unevenness in the road. Helping the system out is Ford’s new electric power-assisted steering. That system is said to improve maneuverability at low speeds and provide more feel at higher speeds. It will ever automatically compensate for heavy cross winds and road crowns.

The 2014 Ford Taurus SHO only brings minor updates to the speedy sedan’s active safety technology, and a new setup for the wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The SHO still wears its standard 19-inch wheels and exclusive exterior styling with pride: happy to explode from any stoplight with the full force of its twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine.
A near-equal 55:45 front-to-rear default split for the SHO’s standard all-wheel-drive traction really performs miracles on this large and tall sedan’s handling attitude and eagerness. The SHO looks like, feels like, and drives like the best Taurus out there for a reason: it is.
The SHO still brings hundreds of unique touches to its performance credentials, interior luxury and tech sophistication versus the base models.
No one likes a stripped-out car. Years of driving is no fun when forced to stare at all the blanked-off switch holes, and driving a modern Ford without the Touch controls and other tweaks can lessen satisfaction over time. If missing a decent radio, what other extra tech or performance was left on the table?
Luckily, the SHO acronym might as well mean "everything," because that is what this roomy and wide hot rod brings as standard. No more regrets, other than the updated Performance Pack or the adaptive cruise control that are on the options list.
A two-fer of new arrivals from Chevy is set to bring some pressure to the SHO nearing the end of this model cycle: the new front-drive 2014 Chevrolet Impala and the rear-drive 2014 Chevy SS sedan.
With pricing that is a bit steep for the handling or sprint pace, is the 2014 Taurus SHO still the hero car that Ford needs at the top of its sedan range?

Ford’s S-Max MPV is widely regarded as one of the Blue Oval’s most popular and successful models. Back in 2007, it even won the prestigious Car of the Year award in Europe, which goes to show that the reach of the S-Max knows no geography.
Now that the current model is long in the tooth, Ford is ready to unveil a successor at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Called the S MAX Concept, the vehicle is less of an actual concept than it is a preview of the future production S-Max model. Not that there’s anything wrong with that because one look at the concept and you’re immediately pining for the production version to come out sooner than later.
In addition to adopting the modern global design language of Ford, the S Max Concept also makes use of new some nifty new features from Ford’s SYNC system while also boasting of an interior that should make its customers happy.

The 2014 Ford F-150 is here and as expected, it still looks relatively the same compared to past year’s models. This may be a bit of a gamble from Ford considering that its main rival, the Chevrolet Silverado, is sporting entirely new looks.Fortunately for Ford, the Ram has had the same look since 2009, when it was still under the Dodge umbrella.
But Ford is willing to roll the dice that the F-150’s popularity will carry its best-selling status while waiting for the next-generation model to arrive in a year’s time.
For now, Ford is offering a wide range of enhancements to the F-150, highlighted by the introduction of the F-150 STX SuperCrew trim and the SXT Sport Package.
The former gives us a full range of cab options that won’t necessarily be detrimental to our wallets while the latter is offered for buyers looking for extra style and personalization of their F-150s.
That’s about the length of changes you’ll see in the 2014 F-150 with Ford believing that you can still get top-grade value on the current generation pick-up before the new era is ushered in by the next-gen model next year.

Australia has become a unique market for American automaker Ford and it’s no more evident than in the growing popularity of the Falcon GT (the Mustang representative in the Land Down Under).
Now it appears that Ford has a surprise for its Australian customers because the fastest Ford Falcon GT ever created is set to debut at the upcoming Australian International Motor Show in October.
No technical details have been officially announced, but it’s expected that the car, which has been codenamed as "Panther," will carry a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces an impressive 449 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 420 lb/ft of torque at 2,200 rpm. This allows the car to hit 0-62 mph in just five seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
The Falcon GT Panther is also looking at carrying a set of 19" wheels to go with tuning work done on the suspension to make it sportier, as well as stability control systems, and an upgraded transmission to improve its overall handling.
Expect more details of the Ford Falcon GT "Panther" when it makes its debut at the Australian International Motor Show in October 2012.

With a history that started back in 1948, the Ford F-Series is now one of the best sold pick-ups on the US market. The model is currently in its twelfth generation and for the 2013 model year, it has been updated with a new design and all-new driver controls technology.
The 2013 F-150 has received an updated front end, with a new grille and HID projector headlamps. Customers can also opt for new 18 and 20" wheels, as well as the choice of three new hues including Blue Jeans Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic, and Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic. The F150 can also now be ordered with SYNC with MyFord Touch voice-activated driver controls.
Under the hood, Ford has placed a choice of four engines: a 302 HP 3.7 liter V6, a 360 HP 5.0 liter V8, a 411 HP 6.2 liter V8, and a 365 HP 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. All of the engines can be mated to a fuel-saving electronic six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode.
