Earlier this year, Tuscany collaborated with Harley-Davidson to roll out a special edition GMC Sierra that was limited to just 250 examples. Around the same time, Hennessey had rolled out the GMC Sierra Denali Goliath 700. The truck came with 700 horses under the hood and transformed the simple Sierra into a magnificent beast. But, how do you combine the finesse of a Harley-Davidson edition truck and the performance of a Hennessey product? Well, you get them together!

An individual purchased the Harley-Davidson Sierra and took it to Hennessey for a performance upgrade. As the team says in the video, is this the Harley for a rainy day?

What Makes The Harley-Davidson Sierra With Hennessey’s Performance Special?

Tuscany’s work with the Harley-Davidson has made the Sierra a drool-worthy prospect. No less than 65 edition-specific components have been used on it. The truck’s black grille features red borders along with the GMC branding in the middle. There is ‘Harley-Davidson’ lettering right under the grille as well. The bumper features two tow hooks painted in red. The truck is offered in two body shades – Black and White – and irrespective of the body color you choose, the other elements and shades are the same for both. There are some chrome elements on the front fascia along with LED Daytime Running Lights and Led bar on the bumper.

The fenders feature the Harley-Davidson logo in contrasting colors. The truck rides on Harley-Davidson Fatboy-inspired 22-inch milled aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires. In the standard Goliath 700, the aftermarket company had equipped 20-inch, 10-spoke all-black Hennessey wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo tires. 37-inch wheels could be accommodated as well considering the truck sits six inches higher, courtesy of BDS suspension lift and new Fox shocks. There are Harley-Davidson tailgate appliqués, color-matched tonneau cover with Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo.

On the inside, the changes aren’t a lot. There are diamond-stitched seats with Harley-Davidson branding in orange. Harley-Davidson logo can be seen on the carpeted bed mat, floor mats, door entry sills, custom accent color door, dashboard, and the steering wheel trim.

What’s Different Under The Hood?

Since Tuscany and Harley-Davidson didn’t make any changes under the hood, the owner of this truck took it to Hennessey for an upgrade. In the standard form, the GMC Sierra is offered with two engine options to choose from. One is the 5.3-liter, V-8 mill that makes 355 ponies and 383 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The other one is a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that dishes out 420 ponies and 460 pound-feet of twist, and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Hennessey Goliath package turns the heat up significantly. This helps the truck sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds. The truck’s chassis is also dyno-tested and road-tested for 200 miles before handing it over to the customer. Hennessey has added these components as well to the Goliath 700:

-* High-Flow Intercooling System

-* High-Flow Air Induction System

-* Custom HPE Camshaft

-* Chromemoly Hardened Pushrods

-* Crankcase Ventilation System

-* HPE Engine Management Calibration

-* Serial-Numbered Engine Plaque

Some optional accessories like Brembo Front Brake Upgrade, Stainless Steel Cat-back Exhaust System, Retractable Electronic Bed Cover, Goliath Rear Bumper, and Upgraded Electronic Fold Out Steps are also on offer, just like Hennessey’s Goliath, but are they needed on Harley-Davidson branded truck?

Final Thoughts

The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Harley-Davidson is priced at $94,995. Hennessey sold the Supercharger package for $26,995 in the stock Goliath build announced earlier this year. The Off-Road Stage 1 Package would make your pockets lighter by another $14,950. Choosing all the other optional accessories would cost you an additional $32,950. That’s a lot of money for a GMC Sierra 1500! But, is it even a Sierra any more? *wink wink*

Harley-Davidson comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. Not sure if this Hennessey upgrade voids it or not. But, probably the Hennessey warranty will take care of it. What are your thoughts on this double-modified GMC Sierra 1500? Share them with us in the comments section below.
