Believe it or not, this is a Honda Fit. Or Honda Jazz->ke2852 if your market sells it under that name. It’s hard to imagine how the Fit can lose its funky five-door hatchback->ke304 character, but if there’s a tuner that has proven to be adept at such conversions, it’s Tjin Edition. The American aftermarket company has been in the customization business long enough to create a catalog of products that have been displayed at the SEMA Auto Show.->ke216

This year, the Fit Tjin Edition joins the ranks with a long list of upgrades that would put most SEMA-bound vehicles to shame. The Fit Tjin Edition is a collaborative undertaking that saw a handful of tuning firms get involved. Unique Fabrication was involved, as was L&R Autobody, Falken Tires, Baer Brakes, AirREX, VIAIR, Bisimoto Engineering, Copius, Katzkin Leather, and Sony. Together, all these firms created a program that is nothing short of transformative for the Honda Fit.

That’s what you look for at an event like SEMA and like in year’s past, Tjin Edition is going to the dance with a program that will turn heads into full-fledged swivels.

Honda Fit Tjin Edition In Detail

The wide-body kit on the Fit is really awe-inspiring, creating dramatic character lines that the standard Fit just doesn’t have. The result is a more aggressive appearance that brings out the five-door hatchback’s sportiness. The Green Axalta paint is also a good choice with credit going to L&R Autobody for creating for the Fit. The other interesting upgrades are Coplus’ redesigned headlights with the NSX-like LED configuration. From there, check out the custom fender flares from Josh Freeman.

Now turn your attention to the wheels; those aren’t stock versions. Instead, Tjin Edition enlisted the help of iForged to develop a custom set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in Falken tires with pink, six-piston brake calipers and 14-inch rotors thrown into the mix. While you’re at it, check out the dramatically lower ride height of the Fit. AirREX was responsible for the air suspension system that created the vehicle’s improved stance.

Moving inside, the Fit Tjin Edition received a Katzkin trim to go with a new sunroof from Webasto and a high-end audio system courtesy of Sony. The interior also has a 94Fifty basketball and a loads of other sporting equipment. You can’t see them from these photos, but SoCal Elite Sports was largely responsible for giving it the literal definition of a sports car.->ke506

Honda Fit

Give a lot of credit to Honda for understanding what it has with the Fit and improving it to give the car a more dynamic presence. The 2015 Fit was introduced at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show with a fresh new look that belies its new engine components. The 2015 version is also a little more compact than its predecessor, but the overall dimensions allow for improved handling and maneuverability.

Powering the the 2015 Fit is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, DOHC engine that features Honda’s i-VTEC technology. All together, the engine produces 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. That represents an increase of 13 ponies and 8 pound-feet of torque compared to the 2013 Fit. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT that carries a fuel economy rating of 33 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 36 mpg combined.

The 2015 Fit is offered in six different variants, beginning with the base LX 6MT model that carries a price of $15,525 all the way up to the top-of-the-line EX-L CVT with Navi trim that has a sticker price of $20,800.
