When Mugen revealed its parts list for the 2020 Honda Civic Type R, it brought tons of carbon fiber, Alcantara, and some extreme exterior elements. For the most part, the same can be said for the standard Civic hatchback, but nothing is near as extreme. That is, arguably, a good thing, though, so let me explain to you what you can get for the base Civic hatch.

Mugen’s Kit for the Base Honda Civic Hatch Is Attractive

Mugen’s parts availability for the 2020 Honda Civic hatch will spice up your ride. It’s not as extreme as what the company offers for the Type R, but you don’t own a Type R, do you? Back to the point, you can upgrade almost everything, including the rear spoiler, side skirts, diffuser, and even the wheels – all enough to make the Civic Hatch look sportier and more sensible at the same time.

A full list of available parts includes:

-* Carbon front grille garnish

-* Front bumper garnish

-* Front lip spoiler

-* Side skirts

-* Rear diffuser

-* Tailgate spoiler

-* Custom 19-inch wheels

-* Sports exhaust system

-* Low temp thermostat

-* New brake pads and rotors

-* Ventilated visors

-* LED taillights

-* LED mirror inserts

-* Carbon fiber mirror covers

-* Door handle protector

-* Carbon license plate holder

Of course, these parts can be mixed and matched as you desire, however, it would be best to lump at least some of them together. On the plus side, you’re not forced to go with the sports exhaust if you want the diffuser, as it’s compatible with both the stock exhaust and the upgraded sport system.

As far as the interior is concerned, you’ll be able to upgrade to a sports steering wheel and full bucket seats. A “quick shifter,” which is Mugen talked for a short-throw shifter, is also available as is a new engine start\stop switch, inner door protector, custom scuff plates, and new Mugen-branded floor mats.

As of now, pricing is only available in Japan and there’s no definite word on when these parts will become available in America. If you’re interested in reaching out to see what you can get right now, head on over to Mugen-Power.com and check out the full offering.
