Honda unveiled the new, 2022 Pasport TrailSport, and now a new project vehicle was announced. It is called Passport TrailSport Rugged Roads Project, and, as you probably guessed, it is based on the TrailSport.

It was designed by Jon Tuico - you probably know him if you follow YouTube channel JonDZ Adventuring - and will be firstly presented at the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona from Sept. 24-26, 2021.

What's different on the Honda Passport TrailSport Rugged Roads Project?

As you probably know by now, the 2022 TrailSport is all about making the Passport ready for off-road adventures.

First of all, the project vehicle gets a series of new elements from Honda Genuine Accessories, including:

- Roof crossbars

- Lower door trim with HPD logo

- Fender flares

- 18-inch wheels, black

- Wheel lug nuts, black

- Valve stem cap with H-mark, black

- Trailer hitch

- H-mark emblem, gloss black

- Cargo tray

- Cargo side panel protectors

The list of updates also includes recovery points painted TrailSport orange designed by Honda R&D. They also offer thick stainless steel skid plates to protect the SUV’s oil pan and fuel tank from rocks and other off-road hazards.

Jsport is offering a suspension lift kit that will add more ground clearance: 1.5 inches in the front and 0.75 inches at the rear.

And, since you are taking you car off-roading, you will probably also wants to spend the night in the nature. This is where Roofnest comes along with a cool, Sparrow XL rooftop tent.

Dirt Complex added a rear hitch tire carrier, while the guys from Factor 55 added a hitchlink 2.0 trailer hitch receiver shackle mount and a crosby 3/4" Shackle.
