Honda Is Entering SEMA With An Epic Type R-Powered 1990s Honda Accord Station Wagon
If you are into cars, you are probably familiar with the SEMA show that’s been held every November, in Las Vegas, Nevada. You would also know, it’s a place where some of the craziest car builds can be seen. Basically, companies, be it automotive, aftermarket, or otherwise, show off their expertise and creativity. Honda of all companies, has decided to bring out something rather unusual – a 1990s Honda Accord Station Wagon with a heart transplant, the heart being that of the latest Civic Type R.
Honda launches all-electric EV Sub-brand - e:N
Honda held a virtual event online to showcase their EV strategy for the Chinese market, via their new EV sub-brand e:N. The Japanese brand unveiled two production-ready electric vehicles: the e:NS1 and the e:NP1. Apart from these two EV’s we also got to see three electric concept cars. The e:N SUV Concept, e:N GT Concept, and e:N Coupe Concept.
2022 Honda Passport TrailSport Rugged Roads Project
Honda unveiled the new, 2022 Pasport TrailSport, and now a new project vehicle was announced. It is called Passport TrailSport Rugged Roads Project, and, as you probably guessed, it is based on the TrailSport.

Is This Skyroom Concept the Future of Honda Automobiles?
Honda is finally dipping its toes into the honey jar with its first-ever electric car, but if the company’s top-level decision-makers share the same vision with Behance’s Dahye Jeong about what the future holds, then the Japanese wouldn’t ignore the self-driving trend.
Back in 2018, Honda joined forces with General Motors in the endeavor of building an autonomous vehicle. At that time, CNBC reported that the Japanese carmaker is taking a stake in GM’s subsidiary Cruise Holdings, with the full investment rising to $2.8. The car would be one for wide use, with the American carmaker handling the assembly process at one of its plants. There’s not much to be heard on the topic ever since, but this Honda Skyroom concept might hint at what’s in store.
Honda’s Pedal Car Might Be The Coolest Vehicle On Display at SEMA
The 2018 SEMA Auto Show was completely lit. Automakers far and wide presented versions of their models in various states of tune. Honda was on-hand at the event, bringing with it a number of Civic Type R concepts, a Ridgeline camper, and the obnoxiously cool Rugged Open Air Vehicle Concept. As awesome as they are, none of these concepts caught my attention more than the Honda Pedal Car. It’s probably a side-show attraction at best, but I don’t care, it looks awesome as hell, and I want one stat.
2018 Honda Civic Type R TCR
The Honda Civic Type R TCR is a purpose-built racing car for the TCR formula. It is based on the FK7/8 Civic Type R and is built by JAS Motorsport. The car, with all of its 340-horsepower, won the inaugural TCR title in the Pirelli World Challenge this year with driver Ryan Eversley and team RealTime Racing.
Touring car racing has seen many sets of regulations come and go, some more successful than others. We all remember the glorious Group A touring cars such as the BMW M3 (E30) Sport Evolution, the Mercedes-Benz 190E AMG Evo II or the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32. Then there was the Super Touring formula which took the world by storm and became a truly global phenomena spawning regional series all across the globe, including North America where the North-American Touring Car Championship was held for two seasons.
Now, there’s a new platform that’s at the peak of its popularity. It’s called TCR, and it was conceived by Marcello Lotti, head of World Sporting Consulting, as a cost-effective option to the TC1 cars that were used in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).

Graduate students at Clemson University have completed building one of the coolest Honda Civics you’ll ever see. It still looks like the current Civic, but a lot of what lies under the surface has changed, none more important than the car’s powertrain. No longer is this Civic running solely on a traditional gas engine. It still has one in the form of a 2.0-liter, supercharged, four-cylinder engine, but it also features an electric motor that helps bring the car’s total output to 600 horsepower.
Honda Debuts a Civic Type R Pickup and We’ve Officially Seen it All
The Honda Civic Type R is an awesome machine, and it got even cooler with the latest generation when Honda decided to bring it to U.S. shores and finally gave us a taste of the once forbidden fruit. With 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque on tap, it’s the definition of Japanese-bred hot hatch. It’s also the fastest car that’s spun its front two wheels around the Magny-Cours track. And, in a weird turn of events, Honda engineers have decided to chop one up and turn it into a proper pickup truck. Yes; a pickup truck. And, the weird part is that it’s pretty damn cool.
Honda’s Making Up For Lost Time With The Everus Concept
Honda may be late to the electrification revolution, but it’s not wasting its time catching up to the party. The Japanese automaker is bringing its first mass-produced electric car to the Beijing Motor Show. It’s called the Everus concept, and it serves as a sign of things to come for Honda as it starts aggressively pushing its own EV agenda for the future.
The Honda Small RS Concept is Indonesia’s Solution for a Tiny Civic Type R
There are markets in the world that aren’t getting as many Honda Civic Type Rs as they’d like. Some aren’t even getting any to begin with. Well, worry no more, because Honda is presenting a possible solution at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show. The “solution” is called the Small RS Concept, a car that was conceived as part of a goal to envision what a small sports hatchback should look like. In that sense, consider the Small RS Concept as “mission accomplished” for Honda.
It’s an April Fool’s Joke, but Maybe Honda Should do a CR-V Roadster
Automakers are all about creating different and tiny niches these days, and that’s exactly why we have vehicles like the Range Rover Evoque Convertible and the upcoming T-Roc Convertible. The problem with these models is that they are hard to like and that’s exactly why Honda decided to troll Range Rover and Volkswagen for April Fools, announcing that it will, in fact, sell a CR-V Roadster despite the fact that it no roof and is structurally unsound.
“ This is a bold new direction for the CR-V and opens up an entirely new non-existent market. Our sales target is somewhat conservative to start with, at zero cars, but we are confident that once the minor glitches are ironed out, such as the lack of roof and the fact it is totally structurally unsound, the car will fly out of showrooms,” said Eipurirufūru – the Future Opportunity Occupational Lead for Honda.
The CR-V’s structural rigidity has been decreased by 100 percent, thanks to the complete and utter removal of both the B- and C-pillars. And the best part is that prices are “expected to start from half the current price of the CR-B as customers are only getting half the car.” LMAO! You’ve got to love Honda’s sense of humor with this one.
2017 Honda Vision Gran Turismo Concept
The rumor mills we’re churning, anticipation was building, everything was falling into place. Word of Honda’s plan to build a “baby NSX” reached fever pitch when patent images, spy photos, and teasers found their way to the surface. Would it be possible for Honda to actually double-dip on the NSX nomenclature and introduce two versions of it? Well, we finally have our answer and it’s a “no.” What we do get instead is the Honda Vision Gran Turismo, a no less exciting concept that we can all enjoy… in the world of Gran Turismo Sport.
I honestly don’t know if I’m going to be thrilled or disappointed at this development. I suppose it’s a mixed bag of both, though like everyone else, I was genuinely over the moon at the thought of seeing a baby NSX hit the real world. Not only would it provide us with a new option to get our NSX fix, but as the supposed “baby” of the two, it would, in theory at least, be the far more affordable version than the current NSX that starts at $156,000. As awesome as it is, the NSX’s price tag has priced a lot of people out of buying one so the excitement surrounding a smaller and more affordable version was tantalizing. The good news is that the version that we did get - the Vision Gran Turismo - is a lot cheaper than what a baby NSX would’ve been priced. It comes free as part of Gran Turismo Sport so at worst, you’re only spending for a PlayStation 4 console and a copy of the game. That’s what, $400? Still, it would’ve been much better if all that teasing led to a baby NSX. That’s not the case this time, but there’s still hope for the future, right, Honda?

2017 Honda Sports EV Concept
When Honda debuted the Urban EV Concept at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show, I was quick to scrutinize the brand for building something so weird, but as I looked at it more, it began to grow on me. And, it’s a good thing it did because that thing is slated for production for the European market sometime in 2019. And, to really top it off, Honda showed up to the 2017 Tokyo Auto Show with a sports car that looks quite familiar – the Honda Sports EV Concept. Following suit with the previous concept, it carries the same general styling cues in a futuristic but feasible package. Of course, it’s a sports car, so it doesn’t have that love seat up front, but it is quite sporty for what it is, and it could just as easily shift into production thanks to being built upon the same platform used for the last concept.
Unlike the last concept, however, we have next to no information. And, Honda didn’t even take the time to release interior shots of the concept either. We can tell that it has that massive display screen and that it’s missing the couch, but outside of that, we can’t see much. But, that doesn’t mean that this little battery-powered sports car should be overlooked. Out of all the EV sports car concepts we’ve seen, this is the one we really want to see become a reality, so let’s take a good look and see what’s crackalackin.
2017 Honda Urban EV Concept
Honda has finally found its way again – the new Civic and new Accord look amazing and serve their purpose well, and the new Civic Type R is even coming to the U.S. for the first time. Needless to say, Honda is on a roll. Now, with auto show season kicking off, Honda decided to show up to the first big auto show with the Honda Urban EV Concept, a car that showcases Honda’s pride in its history and provides a glimpse at what we can expect from Honda in the future as it begins to transition deeper into the EV market. Basically a modern interpretation of the first-gen Civic (1972 – 1979), it features circular, LED headlights, an illuminated “H” up front, all the looks of the first-gen Civic, and an electric drivetrain that includes a high-density lightweight battery pack. It’s also nearly four inches shorter than the Honda Jazz, so there’s that.
With that in mind, it should be noted that Honda hasn’t released too much information on the concept or the production model that should see the light of day in Europe of 2019. But, if you look at the exterior look, we can say with near certainty that the production model will sport a similar look. The interior will likely find itself toned down a bit, but hey, we’re talking about an affordable vehicle here, so you can’t always have your cake and eat it too. Be that as it may, let’s take a good look at Honda’s newest concept and talk more about it.

Does Honda’s Urban EV Concept Prove that Honda has no Idea what it is Doing?
Honda is one of the last companies to truly jump on the “look at us as we promise a future of EVs” bandwagon, not even touching base on its future strategy until early 2017. When it did finally break silence on the topic, it promised that Europe would be its focal point for electrified vehicles and that hybrid, plug-in, electric, and fuel cell vehicles would make up two-thirds of its Euro sales by 2025. Fast forward six months to the Frankfurt Auto Show and Honda has attempted to impress with an all-electric concept that Takahiro Hachigo – President and CEO of Honda Motor Co. – said will be in production and on the Euro market by 2019. There’s a problem, though – the concept just isn’t that attractive. Perhaps it’s the American in me, but I think it’s straight-up ugly on the outside. It makes me feel like someone crossed a Mini Cooper and a 1990 Volkswagen Golf and gave it some modern gene sequencing to add in some futuristic features.
At this point, Honda hasn’t said a whole lot about this concept of the vehicle of the future that it represents. It has said that the car has compact proportions and is, in fact, 100 mm or 3.93-inches shorter than the Honda Jazz. That puts its overall length in the area of just over 156 inches from tip to tip. To go along with this, it also mentions that the Concept showcases its new Automated Network Assistant, a virtual concierge of sorts that learns from your emotions and actions as you drive to suggest new choices in the future – kind creepy, but interesting.
