Nissan Will Introduce an IMx-Based Production Model to the U.S. Market but It Won’t Be Anywhere Near as Cool
Nissan’s IMx concept is finally going to be put to good use. Word has it that the SUV concept that debuted at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show will form the basis of a new compact electric crossover that will be sold down the road in the U.S. Not much is known about Nissan’s plans at the moment, but early whispers paint a hazy picture of a Rogue-sized crossover that can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds and run for 300 miles on a single charge. The new electric crossover isn’t expected to arrive until 2021, but when it does, it will be among eight new all-electric models that Nissan plans to launch globally over the coming years.
Just a couple of days ago, Ford’s new Mach E website – the one that lets you map out your trips to see how far you can go in the Mach E EV – said: “up to 370 miles of all-electric range.” That figure sounded damn good but quite suspicious as well and, not surprisingly, Ford has quietly changed it. Presumably, Ford was hoping nobody noticed, but we have the receipts and a good idea of exactly what happened. Keep reading to find out!
2019 Lamborghini Urus by Novitec
Some vehicles don’t need to do anything to stand out. Some just show up and attract attention like a flame attracts moths. The Lamborghini Urus super-SUV is one such vehicle. The Urus stands out on its own in ways very few — if any — SUVs do. Maybe it’s the way it looks, or maybe it’s the Lamborghini badge on its hood. Either way, there’s little you can do to make the Urus stand out even more. Or is there?
Novitec tried to answer that question by creating an aftermarket program that’s specifically dedicated to Lamborghini’s high-performance SUV. The result is like a lot of Novitec’s past tuning programs. It looks meaner and, more importantly, it comes with power and performance upgrades that emphatically cast aside any notion that the Urus can’t stand out more than it already does.
2019 Renault Twingo
Renault radically changed the formula for its third-generation Twingo city runabout. The first- and second-gen Twingos were front-engined, front-wheel drive, three-door cars (and the second one even had a proper hot hatch variant). For its third generation, though, Renault completely changed things around, making the Twingo a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive, five-door model.
Further differentiating it from its predecessors was its design. Whereas the two previous Twingo incarnations were styled to look as modern and fresh as possible, the current Twingo has a retro-inspired look that owes everything to the iconic Renault 5. And it really works - the Twingo is cute, tasteful and, even though there are other retro-inspired cars out there, it’s among the most successful from a visual standpoint.
But it too isn’t especially new, as it was launched back in 2015 and was recently given its mid-lifecycle refresh. Renault didn’t change anything major, though; the refresh has changed the front and rear bumpers, the headlights, as well as added some extra interior customization options. One of the engines available for the Twingo also gets a power boost courtesy of the facelift and some extra tech has been added too.
But overall, it’s still the same fresh looking car that attracted a lot of attention back when it was launched. That attention didn’t really translate into it becoming a sales hit, yet you still see a fair few of them scuttling around Europe’s major cities (the Fiat 500 is still king in this respect and the Twingo didn’t manage to dethrone it).

Tesla’s back making claims again, only this time, the California-based electric car maker is planting its flag at Laguna Seca after claiming the four-door lap record around the race track with a time of 1:36.6. While the lap time is impressive, it doesn’t hold much weight in the eyes of the public, largely because it wasn’t set during a sanctioned event and in the presence of an officiating body that would validate the lap time.
That said, Tesla’s decision to go to Laguna Seca to set a lap time, not to mention sightings of a different Model S at the Nurburgring, has people asking if these sightings are precursors to real sanctioned time laps in the future. Knowing Elon Musk, don’t discount that from actually happening.

There Are New Details You Need To Know About the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series
The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is the ultimate version of the AMG GT lineup. It’s expected to come out by mid-2020, and when it does, expect it to raise hell with a “new” version of the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that’s found in all the other AMG GT variants. That’s the word from no less than AMG head Tobias Moers, who told Which Car magazine that the ultimate iteration of the AMG GT will arrive packed to the brim with surprises. Full details about the engine haven’t been announced, but Moers revealed enough to get us hyped for what’s to come. It’s safe to say that Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series will be unlike any version of the AMG GT that we’ve seen so far. That might even be putting it lightly, too.

These days, BMW is as addicted to big grilles as a 12-year-old is to big boobs after accidentally finding dad’s secret porn stash. Eventually, most 12-year-olds grow out of their first addiction and move on to something else, but BMW, on the other hand, just wants its grilles bigger and bigger – that’s the exact reason why the BMW Concept 4 damn near broke the internet in the worst way possible. All of that can now be forgiven now that X-TOMI design has converted the 4 Series Coupe Concept into a shooting brake. Well, to me it looks like a longer two-door hatchback, but for intents and purposes, it’s being considered a shooting brake, so we’ll go with that. Either way, We’re convinced that BMW needs to take the plunge on this one, even if it won’t ditch that fugly grille.
Bugatti seems to love the idea that it produces just one car in multiple variations and, to some extent, that’s okay in terms of exclusivity. But, isn’t it time that Bugatti actually comes up with something new as opposed to some slightly revised version of a car it started producing in 2016, based on a concept from 1999? Bet you forgot that, didn’t you? The Chiron is actually based on the 1999 Bugatti 18/3 Chiron Concept from nearly two decades ago. Back to the point at hand, Bugatti has, since the Chiron’s debut back in 2016, produced a handful of different variations, including the Chiron Sport, 110 Ans Bugatti, Chiron Super Sport 300+, Centodieci, and the La Voiture Noire one-off.
One would think that Bugatti had about done enough with the Chiron which was, by the way, limited to just 500 units when it was introduced a few years ago. But, Bugatti has different plans before it moves on to something totally new despite the realization that the Chiron can’t live on forever. The point is that if you were hoping to see an all-new Bugatti next year, or even in the next five years, you might want to let go and accept the fact that it isn’t going to happen. Here’s why…

Why the yelling, you’re wondering? Well, Audi’s RS history spans over a quarter of a century, and it is only now that the U.S. gets the RS6 Avant for the first time. Now, the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant is an absolute monster regardless of how you look at it - design or spec-wise. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine makes 591 horsepower (441 kW) and 590 pound-feet of torque (800 Nm). On asphalt, these numbers generate 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprints ticked in 3.6 seconds and electronic nanny-restricted top speeds of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Also responsible for such crisp performances is the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission with launch control mode and Audi’s notorious Quattro permanent all-wheel drive complemented by wheel-selective torque control and a sport differential.
