Tesla cars are loaded with weird, unorthodox features and gimmicks. But there are some of them which are absolutely fantastic, one of them being the Sentry mode. There have been numerous instances in the past where the Sentry mode has recorded suspicious activities done to and around the car and has proved very helpful. Thanks to this post on Reddit, we’ve now come across another nifty little feature that helps keep the Sentry mode on guard even in the toughest conditions – a heater that melts away the snow on it.

Named after beloved Brazilian F1 driver Ayrton Senna, the McLaren Senna is an Ultimate Series model sharing apex predator status with the likes of Elva, P1, and Speedtail in the British supercar maker’s lineup.

There are moments when a carmaker’s ambitions go way beyond its financial or technological powers. But in pursuing said ambitions, only a select few companies managed to overcome any difficulties and deliver amazing car.

Take Renault, for example. Back in the late 70s and early 80s, the French firm simply couldn’t afford to fully develop a rally race car from the ground up. So it had to work with what it had, in this case the humble Renault 5, which through massive modding gave the raucous Renault R5 Turbo.

Every automaker that’s worth its name has a quality control procedure that needs to be followed before its products head to their respective owners. For some, these quality control procedures involve checking the engine, the interior, and the car’s electronics system. But for an automaker like Koenigsegg, quality control procedures take on different forms.

The Swedish automaker even has a particularly specific procedure it does to the Regera supercar before it’s delivered to its excited owner. According to the company, ever Regera — that’s 80 of them — is required to do a 0-to-186 mph sprint test before it leaves the care of the automaker. It sounds ridiculous for a car to undergo a speed test of that magnitude before it’s delivered to a customer, but remember, this is the Regera we’re talking about.

Believe it or not, Nissan is no stranger to rally racing. Back in 1996, the Japanese company raced at the Paris-Dakar Rally with a modded Terrano, albeit with zero success.

However, back in 1970, Nissan took a Datsun Bluebird 510 and made it into a rally car - dubbed the 1600SS - that won the East-African Safari Rally. One year after, in 1971, Nissan came back with a safari-style version of the 240Z. It, too, won the rally. That particular car is celebrated today with a one-off build based on the 370Z.

In October 2020, Mercedes-Benz took the brand-new AMG GT Black Series onto the Nurburgring to set a new lap record for production cars. In November, the Germans confirmed the record at 6:43.616 by releasing a video of the run. BMW updated the 5 Series sedan for the 2021 model in May 2020. It looks sharper and sportier on the outside, features notable changes on the inside, and comes with a new mild-hybrid system for the six-cylinder engines. There are some tweaks made to make it aerodynamically more efficient, too.

Bulbous at the front and obscenely long at the rear - that’s how the Isdera Commendatore 112i presents itself to the viewer, a McLaren Speedtail avant la lettre as many have pointed out.

Coming out of early-’90s Germany, the Commendatore shares its engine with the Pagani Zonda and the pop-up headlamps with the more inconspicuous Porsche 968 but, unlike either of them, Isdera never put the 112i into production. This, then, is your chance to own one of the rarest supercars out there.

The Pagani Huayra may be nine years old as of 2021, but it’s not going away anytime soon. The Italian company is preparing a new version of the V-12 supercar and it’s going to be the most extreme iteration yet. It’s called the Huayra R and it’s still somewhat of a mystery. Pagani just released a sound sample of its V-12 engine and it’s one of the best sounding supercars out there!
