Jaguar’s->ke39 FEEL XE campaign entered its next phase ahead of the Jaguar XE’s->ke3138 debut at the Paris Motor Show->ke227. This time around, the British automaker enlisted the help of noted British designer Stella McCartney to dress up a fleet of XE models in her own Spring Superhero print. Yes, the images you see covering the British luxury sedan are part of McCartney’s new superhero-themed line. Jaguar’s really going all-out to promote Feel XE, a platform it created back in July 2014 to “harness the spirit of British creativity and innovation." The company even tapped influential figures in music, film, and design to help promote the campaign.

That’s where Stella McCartney comes in. The popular British designer is lending her new superhero print into the XE, creating a playful and dynamic exterior that meshes well with its high-class interior. I admittedly don’t recognize any of the superhero heads printed into the XE, but I do appreciate that the XE can still have a fun side to it to bolster its reputation as an all-world sports [sedan.

Jaguar XE by Stella McCartney in detail

I'm not a fashion guy by any stretch of the imagination so I'm not really familiar with Stella McCartney's work, but I do know a uniquely dressed Jaguar when I see one. This superhero-themed XE definitely qualifies as one of them. I understand that McCartney wouldn't have been able to use the images of familiar superheroes because of legal issues.

But she did manage to work around the issue and create some interesting designs and apply it creatively into the XE.

I'm not too sure about what she's wearing, though. Is that a track suit? Overalls? Pajamas? Just goes to show how hilariously under-qualified I am when it comes to fashion talk.

Jaguar XE

The Jaguar XE made its long-awaited debut on September 8, 2014. That day also marked the point in Jaguar's history when it finally told the rest of the industry that it's ready to return to center stage.

The XE was everything we thought it would be. It featured a dynamic style that was inspired by the XF; the long hood, short rear end, and coupe-like roofline, in particular are design traits taken from its big brother. That gamble worked, too, because the XE looks every bit the part of a BMW 3 Series challenger.

Under its hood, the XE will feature a host of engine options, although the only one that's been announced so far is the 3.0-liter, supercharged V-6 that produces 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. With that engine, the XE is capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds to go with a top speed of 155 mph.

We expect Jaguar to unveil more engine options at the 2014 Paris Motor Show on October 4, 2014.
