2021 Jaguar XJ EV
It’s no secret that Jaguar has eyes on launching an all-electric version of the XJ sedan, and just as we started lamenting the lack of tangible evidence of an all-electric XJ, a batch of spy photos fell on our laps and, lo and behold, we get our first look and what looks to be the all-electric XJ.
Granted, the spy photos don’t show the heavily wrapped sedan doing blitzing test runs, but, rather, they show the sedan getting transported to an undisclosed location where it could potentially do those blitzing test runs. We’ll take our victories where we can get them, though, and this batch of spy photos is validation — to a certain extent, at least — that the Jaguar XJ EV is actually a real thing. Expect more spy photos to come in the near future. Hopefully, those photos will show the sedan with its wheels touching the ground.

2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe(updated)
The Jaguar F-Type is, arguably, one of the best-looking sports cars on the market today and one could even go so far as to say it’s one of the best lookers of the decade. While this might be true, it has also been on the market since 2013, and we all know that it’s due to be replaced in 2020. We’ve finally seen the first prototype of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type being tested, and we have to admit that there’s going to be some serious changes taking place. Expect a similar silhouette with an all-new face and rear end. There’s also a certain rumor about the V-8 engine that you don’t want to miss out on, so be sure to check out our drivetrain section to learn more about that.

2019 Jaguar E-Pace SVR
Having struggled for many decades with few and often outdated products, Jaguar made a big step toward getting back on the horse by launching its first-ever SUV, the F-Pace. Inspired by the F-Type sports car, the F-Pace received a smaller brother, called the E-Pace, in 2017. Designed to compete against the likes of the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, the E-Pace is not yet in dealerships as of July 2017, but we’re already thinking about what versions Jaguar might release soon. Obviously, a beefed-up SVR variant is at the top of our list.
Would an E-Pace SVR make sense right now? Definitely. At this point, you can’t have too many SUVs, especially performance-oriented, premium ones. Now you could argue that the E-Pace SVR might not have many competitors to go against in this niche, but that’s exactly the point. Jaguar can become one of the first to step in this market instead of doing what it usually does: following the path laid by others. But of course, this means that Jaguar must move fast and launch the E-Pace SVR before BMW rolls out the X1 M and takes some market share from the Mercedes-AMG GLA45 and Audi RS Q3. And while Jaguar has yet to confirm a small SVR, we went ahead and created a rendering to go with our speculative review.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace
Jaguar went on record back in May of 2015, saying it wanted a baby crossover to slot in below the F-Pace. It took a couple of years, and a few teasers to get to this point, but we’re finally here, and Jaguar has delivered its promise in typical Jag fashion. Sporting a simple, yet perfectly defined body and a technologically advanced cabin that’s as plush as it is attractive, Jaguar has practically redefined the compact SUV segment. With tons of interior space for its size, a sophisticated suspension system that provides a smooth ride, and a range of 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines that deliver as little as 147 horsepower or as much as 295 horsepower. But, there’s one major Caveat, it’s set to start out around $38,600 in entry-level form, and that puts it a bit more expensive than models like the BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA that it competes with.
With that in mind, you need to know that the E-Pace is a really big deal. It’s bigger brother; the F-Pace, has grown in sales by 44 percent through May of 2017, meaning that Jaguar’s design language and style philosophy is right in line with what the masses want. And, when you consider that luxury segment buyers are pretty picky, that’s saying a lot for a market that’s so crowded with SUVs at the current time. Needless to say, the E-Pace has a lot to live up to and, based on first impressions, I have to say this thing is going to be an amazing success, but we’ll talk more about that later. Does it have what it takes to put the X1 and GLA in their place, even with a significantly higher price tag? Well, let’s dive on in and take a good look to find out.
2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake
Introduced in 2007 to replace the ageing S-Type, the Jaguar XF was redesigned for the 2016 model year. The makeover brought an evolutionary restyling but turned the four-door sedan in a sportier proposition on the outside and a more luxurious vehicle on the inside. The XF also received new drivetrains, most notably the company’s recently launched 2.0-liter four-cylinder in both gasoline and diesel formats. The 3.0-liter V-6 was also carried over, but with significant upgrades. Unlike the first-generation model, the second-gen XF arrived without a wagon version. This changed for the 2018 model year when Jaguar launched a redesigned XF Sportbrake.
Making things that much better, it’s available in the U.S. too!
The Sportbrake’s return is a bit surprising, especially since Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design, once predicted the death of the station wagon. But, while I’d like to know what made him change his mind, I’m actually glad that the Sportbrake is back in dealerships and especially in the U.S., where the midsize market was limited to just two models, with a couple more available in other niches. Sure, it’s still ridiculous, but with three different products in the premium market, we finally have some proper action going on.

2018 Jaguar XF
The Jaguar XF was first introduced in 2007 as a replacement for the Jaguar S-Type and has been a fairly successful model, with 202,678 models sold between 2009 and 2016. In 2015, the XF went through a generational shift that didn’t change its overall design too drastically but did bring about the use of aluminum, allowing Jag to shed more than 400 pounds compared to the first-gen model. The second-gen model is offered with a wide variation of engines that include diesel and gasoline models, depending on the market. The 2.0-liter diesel engine gave buyers the option of a six-speed manual transmission, but going with the larger diesel or any of the gasoline drinkers sticks you with an automatic. An AWD system is available with some drivetrain configurations, and power output ranged anywhere between 161 and 375 ponies.
It’s only been two years since the second-gen XF rolled into showrooms, and for 2017, the U.S. model was updated to include a diesel engine for the first time. No other notable changes came with the 2017 model year, but 2018 might be a different story if these spy shots are any indication. The prototype you see here is wearing extensive camo for some reason and, while it’s hard to spot any real changes, there are a few. It’s way too early for Jag to be testing a third-gen model, so it looks like we may see a serious design update in the near future. For now, let’s take a better look at these spy shots and talk a little more about it.

2020 Jaguar J-Type
When it comes to using four wheels to get around a track as fast as possible, the blueprint is pretty well established at this point. All you have to do is look to the top echelon of racing to figure it out. Formula 1, Le Mans prototypes, winning GT cars – all of ‘em mount the powerplant towards the middle of the chassis. Why? Because when a car’s weight is balanced between the axles, the tires and suspension can do their job more effectively. The mid-engine solution has worked wonders in competition, and as such, it’s trickled down to street cars as well. Now, it’s looking like Jaguar might be the latest to offer a mid-engine performance machine, and although it’s not yet confirmed, the cat badge could very well mix it up with a new halo mid-engine supercar sometime relatively soon.
The idea for such a project can be traced back to none other than legendary car designer Ian Callum, the current head of design at Jaguar. Callum is highly respected throughout the industry given his brain is behind some of the most sensuous automotive designs of the past several decades, with just a few entries on his resume including the Jaguar C-X75 and XK, the Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish, and the Nissan R390.
Road & Track recently got a chance to speak with Callum at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, and during the interview, he dropped a few tantalizing hints that Jag could indeed be working on a new mid-engine supercar.
While a proposition like that is still very much up to us to fill in the details, it’s nonetheless an all-around exciting idea. But what would such a vehicle bring to the table? Read on for the details.

2018 Jaguar F-Type
Jag’s sleek and sporty two-door F-Type has been around since 2013, first as a roadster, then later as a coupe. Both body styles have offered a slew of performance levels, from the 340-horsepower base model, to the fire-breathing 575-horsepower SVR range topper. But now it’s time for a refresh, and as such, the Brits are prepping the new F-Type for a reveal sometime in 2017 (current speculation points to the Geneva Motor Show). Our spy photographers managed to snag the updated model carving up the Nurburgring, and at first blush, it looks to get the usual nip-and-tuck treatment for exterior styling. Details on the interior and drivetrain are a little more vague, but rumor has it there’s gonna be new infotainment gear and more efficient engines. Most (if not all) of these changes should apply equally to both the coupe and convertible.
In the three years it’s has been on the market, the F-Type has expanded its appeal by adding the option for a manual transmission, AWD, and more power. However, this is the first time Jag has messed with the original formula, which begs the question – will it be better or worse than before?
Update 5/13/2016: Just two days after the facelifted F-Type was spotted on its first test session, we’ve caught another F-Type putting in work. The Jaguar F-Type was launched in 2012 as a spiritual successor to the E-Type. At first as drop-top only, the F-Type received a coupe version in 2013. The sports car was received with great enthusiasm, often being labeled as a stout competitor for the Porsche 911. Available with a range of supercharged V-6 and V-8 powerplants, the F-Type’s output ranges from 335 to 567 ponies, numbers that speak volumes about Jaguar’s intentions with its stylish sports car. While owning a wild and exciting rear-wheel-drive sports coupe like the new Jaguar F-Type sounds like an absolute blast, there is a large part of the population that likes their sports cars with a little less drift and a lot more traction. Just look to the sales of the Audi R8, Audi TT, and the Porsche Carrera 4 for evidence of that. Jaguar is well aware of the customers it may be losing in the colder regions of the world by only offering a rear-wheel-drive coupe, so it’s now offering an all-wheel-drive versions of the F-Type R and S for the 2016 model year.
Set to make its global debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19th, the AWD F-Type made its first official appearance in the Hakskeen Pan desert in the Northern cape of South Africa, where Jaguar joined the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program during its first high-speed testing session. Not because the F-Type is a record-breaker now that is sports all-wheel drive, but because Jaguar is the new main partner of the Bloodhound Project. Still, it’s a good way to showcase a vehicle that’s quicker than its RWD counterpart.

Jaguar revealed the XE sedan in 2014 after a long string of teases that nearly drove us nuts. In the UK, the XE is ready for action, but folks in the U.S. have to wait until the 2017 Jaguar XE arrives. As we get nearer to the American release of the XE, our spy photographers caught a special version of the upcoming sedan in a parking lot. This model had a badge with an “E” on a light-blue background and no visible exhaust pipes. Our thoughts immediately turned to this being either a hybrid or a plug-in hybrid version of the XE.
With BMW already entrenched in the compact luxury hybrid sedan realm with the ActiveHybrid 3, and Mercedes about to dive in with the 2016 C350 Plug-In Hybrid, it was only a matter of time before Jag dipped its toes in. The question is, what type of hybrid is this? Is it a plug-in hybrid or a standard hybrid? Maybe it’s not a hybrid at all and is actually a full-electric version of the XE. I really don’t know.

With the lightweight Jaguar XE soon to start battling the BMW 3 Series, rumors about the British company planning to roll out an entire family of vehicles are flying all over the place. Although not officially confirmed, the move makes a lot of sense considering Jaguar is aiming to become a strong competitor to Germany’s finest. Naturally, this scenario got us all excited and thinking what would an XE Coupe and Sportbrake version of the look like. Our rendering team was quick to provide us with some answers in that aspect, and, with the coupe already online, we have returned to show you the XE Sportbrake.
Yes, that’s right, we’re 100-percent positive the station wagon version of the XE will carry the Sportbrake moniker. It’s already a tradition in the Jaguar family and the Brits wouldn’t have it any other away, considering the same nameplate is used for the larger XF. Read on to see what it takes for the XE to become a premium grocery-getter.

A recent report suggesting a coupe version of the Jaguar XE is in the works got us thinking; what would a coupe version of the XE look like and more importantly, what kind of engine will it have? The latter is a question that we don’t have answers to, but the question of the XE Coupe’s looks was solved by a quick email to our crack rendering team and voila, we have an image.
The rendering that our artist created of the future XE Coupe is based on the sedan model. True to form, our artist delivered with a detailed rendering that looks brazenly like a hard-charging coupe with the intentions of destroying the 4 Series and C-Class Coupe.
Remember, Jaguar has not officially confirmed plans of an XE Coupe, only throwing out that thinly veiled statement of "never say never." Take it for what it’s worth, but if you’re putting stock on it like we are, this rendering should at least point you in the right direction as far as what the XE Coupe could look like.

Jaguar’s upcoming BMW 3 Series fighter, the XE, is reportedly getting a high-performance, supercharged SVR version. At least that’s what Auto Express claims, adding that the hot sedan is being prepared by Jaguar Land Rover’s recently established Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. Although this is just an unconfirmed rumor, the scenario is very likely, as the XE lineup will require a more powerful sedan to compete against the range-topping BMW M3.
The SVR-badged XE is reportedly set to arrive by early 2016, about one year after the regular model goes on sale. Although Jaguar has already confirmed a performance-oriented XE powered by the 3.0-liter V-6 fitted in the F-Type, Auto Express says SVO will be taking things even further and drop the company’s supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8 between the front wheels. With 489 horsepower at its disposal, the XE SVR will need about four seconds to sprint from naught to 62 mph, while top speed will be electronically limited at 155 mph.
As things stand, BMW has plenty of reasons to be worried...

The upcoming Jaguar XE, the first BMW 3 Series competitor to come out of Britain, is still a long way from revealing its skin and engine lineup, but it appears the sedan is also in for a hotter version aimed at the more powerful M3.
At least that’s the word from Auto Express, with the British outlet claiming the brawnier XE will carry an XER-S badge and a V-8 engine rated at 550 horsepower. That’s the same amount found in the F-Type R, which is motivated by a supercharged, 5.0-liter, V-8 mill.
Details are scarce at the time of this writing, but if that output proves to be true, the new M3, which relies on just 425 ponies coming from a 3.0-liter, inline-six powerplant, will be in very big trouble.
Of course, we still have to take a look at the XER-S’ design before drawing any conclusions, but we’re expecting for a more aggressive body kit to come with that "R-S" lettering on the trunk and the extra power. There’s no word on when the XER-S is scheduled arrive, but we’re guessing it will hit showrooms by the end of 2016.

We haven’t been shy with our affinity for the new Jaguar F-Type. We drooled when it debuted as a roadster. We swooned when the Coupe version came a year later. But now, rumors suggest Jaguar is mulling the possibility of a Club Sport version of the coupe. Think of it as the Camaro Z/28 of the F-Type lineup.
The guys at Motoring.com had a chat with Jaguar’s F-Type Program Director Russ Varney about the possibilities. Quite a few details emerged from the conversation, along with legitimate hopes Jaguar will actually build the thing. “We have three or four things we are looking at for the next developments of the F-TYPE and a lightweight, harder version is a long way up that list,” Varney divulged.
Sales volume is the foremost factor in a project like this, and as Varney mentioned, it would take around 500 cars a year before the project became viable. Cutting weight from the car would likely include heavy uses of carbon fiber, and at 500 cars sold each year, the cost becomes “quite cheap.”
As for how much weight the F-Type will lose, Jaguar is shooting for roughly 440 pounds, dialing the scales back to around 3,230 pounds. Since the car is mainly constructed from aluminum, the chassis will likely remain unchanged. The leather-lined interior, however, affords plenty of room for dieting.
Yet another approach — although not without nay-sayers — may be to use the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 rather than the monstrous 550-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8. The weight savings is 156 pounds right off the top. Boosting the power from 380 horses and 339 pound-feet — along with dropping weight — would give the car a distinct advantage. It works for the Z/28, after all.
Varney ended his chat by saying Jaguar would not be following in Lamborghini’s footsteps with making a Club Sport-style roadster. “The coupe is already 33 pounds lighter and people who want these kinds of cars don’t want it as a roadster.”

The demise of the Jaguar XK doesn’t necessarily mean Jaguar is leaving a hole in its entire lineup. A new model is set to replace the XK and from the looks of it, the British automaker is looking to field a coupe version of its bigger Jaguar XJ with styling cues attributed to the F-Type.
Given how the F-Type has been an enormous success and is largely the reason why Jaguar decided to drop the XK, it’s a smart move for Jaguar to make the proposed XJ Coupe look similar to its current meal ticket. That appears to be the plan for Jaguar, as it continues to make aggressive move after aggressive move to be a player in the luxury performance market.
The reported arrival of the XJ Coupe also means that Jaguar won’t necessarily drop out of the 2+2 grand tourer market where models like the Bentley Continental GT and the new Mercedes S-Class Coupe reside. On the contrary, Jaguar is preparing the XJ Coupe to be a direct rival to these models. With that, you can at least expect the model to be bigger than the XK with a similar aluminum architecture as the F-Type.
Engine options will likely also be varied and could range from either a supercharged V-6 to a V-8, or possible both. A six-cylinder diesel is also expected to be in the mix.
Discussions on price will likely be shelved at least until there’s confirmation for the model, but reason dictates that the model could be priced somewhere in the neighborhood of at least £100,000.

Shortly after Jaguar released the F-Type roadster, Design Director, Ian Callum, revealed that a coupe version would follow it. After testing it for a few months, Jaguar finally unveiled it at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
As no surprise, the new F-Type Coupe is nearly identical to the roadster version, except, of course, the fixed roof. There are a few changes regarding the engine lineup, as the base F-Type will only be offered with a V-6 engine — standard and supercharged, while the V-8 engine is offered only in the new, R version.
The new F-Type Coupe will be put on sale in early 2014, and prices will range from $65,000 for the base F-Type Coupe to $77,000 for the F-Type S Coupe. Unlike the Roadster version, the new coupe variant will also get a R version priced at $99,000.

Details about the new Jaguar XQ-type midsize crossover are emerging from Coventry ahead of the $45,000 model’s expected debut next month in Frankfurt. Exclusive TopSpeed renderings offer a speculative glimpse at the styling of this make-or-break next generation of aluminum models.
Twinned with the XQ-type is the Q-type sedan, which will be the smallest models in Jaguar’s range outside of the F-type sports cars. The XQ-type aims for the sweet spot of the premium crossover market occupied by the Audi Q5 and BMW X3, each of which are formidable competition for Jaguar’s first American family SUV.
Fast-tracking the XQ-type’s ‘PLA’ code name aluminum chassis and body panels means this new compact benefits from both a nimble chassis and the best current and future components in the Jaguar Land Rover parts bin. Both the XF’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the supercharged V-6 are expected, with the latter to offer Jag’s new Instinctive AWD as seen on both the U.S.-market XF and XJ.
A sporty bias for The XQ-type offers enough space between this model and the Land Rover SUVs, and the XQ is even likely to run as a rear-drive model in base configurations.
The XQ’s performance will be closely benchmarked against its German rivals, with further R and R-S options on the table. The beauty of this chopped-length PLA architechture, which will also underpin the new XF and XK, is that even the compact models will be quite wide and should be able to fit the firm’s rorty supercharged V-8 under that shapely ’bonnet.’
