2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
Not too long ago, Jaguar updated the F-Pace for the 2021 model year. The SUV came with a lot of changes inside out. Now, the company has updated the performance version of the SUV – the F-Pace SVR. It comes with a few external tweaks, mostly that enhance the ride quality, some changes inside the cabin, and the biggest of them all, increased torque output and better performance figures. Does the SVR now qualify to be the best performance SUV that Jaguar has to offer?
2021 Jaguar E-Pace
Jaguar and Land Rover have been quite active in recent months with the 2021 model year updates. We saw the F-Pace, Velar, and the XF Sportbrake among other products being updated in recent months. This time, it’s time for the E-Pace to be updated.
Although it comes with similar updates like its other family members, which include new mild- and plug-in hybrid options and tweaked interior and exterior, the E-Pace comes with another big change – a new architecture. Will this make the SUV better than the current model?
Mid-size luxury sedans are generally considered to be the sweet spot between comfort and performance. They are just the right size and usually offer a wide range of drivetrain options. The Jaguar XF is nearing its sixth production year and received a well-deserved facelift in order to continue to effectively rival the German trio in the luxury sedan segment. With this came new powertrain options, including a mild-hybrid version. Does the newly-revised XF offer something that’s worth giving it a second look? Let’s find out and see if it’s still a viable alternative to the usual suspects in the segment.
2021 Jaguar XF Sportbrake
Jaguar recently gave the XF a midlife refresh for the 2021 model. While the company updated both the sedan and the wagon, only the former will be sold Stateside. Not too long ago, the automaker confirmed that the XF Sportbrake will no longer be available in the U.S., the reason for it being poor sales.
At a time when automakers were removing wagons from their U.S. lineup, Jaguar decided to introduce the XF Sportbrake. The move backfired and in less than four years after bringing it to our shores, the company has axed it.
However, for the 2021 model, the XF Sportbrake comes with changes inside out that fall in line with the changes made to the XF sedan. Will the European customers be tempted to opt for this refreshed model?
2021 Jaguar F-Pace
Jaguar has refreshed the F-Pace for 2021 model year, and it comes with quite a few changes. While the changes are subtle on the outside - so subtle that a layman won’t even notice it – the automaker has rejigged the cabin. The old screen is swapped with a new, larger touchscreen infotainment system, and there are new engine options available under the hood, including a hybrid that offers up to 33 miles of electric range. Will this help elevate the Jaguar F-Pace in such a competitive segment?
2021 Lister Stealth
Jaguar F-Pace is a nice package overall and an all-rounded SUV. The most powerful trim in the lineup is the supercharged SVR which makes 550 horses and 502 pound-feet of torque. However, it is now trumped by an iteration made by another British company called Lister.
Lister has officially revealed the Stealth, an SUV based on the Jaguar F-Pace that makes 666 horses and 650 pound-feet of torque. The performance figures are also better than the F-Pace SVR’s, closely matching the newly-crowned world’s fastest SUV, the Dodge Durango Hellcat.
2020 Jaguar XJ Collection
The current-generation Jaguar XJ X351 is nearing the end of its decade-long run and the British automaker is commemorating the occasion by turning the last 300 units of the XJ into a special edition version called the XJ Collection. Available only for the U.S. market, the XJ Collection comes with exclusive touches befitting of a special edition model. More than that, the car is a proper swan song to Jag’s established but aging full-sized sedan. The XJ X351 has been in the market since 2010 and with rumors swirling about the next-generation XJ’s possible electric future, this could be the last chance you have of buying a pure V-8-powered, special edition XJ. The Jaguar XJ Collection starts at $85,000. There’s no word yet on when the it will be made available, though.
The 2020 Jaguar XE is the facelift version of the compact sedan that the British company unveiled in 2015. Aimed at premium four-door cars like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4, the XE is the spiritual successor of the X-Type, discontinued in 2009. The 2020 Jaguar XE features a sportier exterior, a revised interior with new technology, and provides better value in certain trims.
Launched in 2015, the XE was starting to fall behind the competition. The BMW 3 Series is brand-new for 2019, while the Audi A4 is a bit newer. With Mercedes-Benz having upgraded the C-Class for 2018, the XE remained the oldest of the four, so this facelift was more than necessary. Sportier than before, the XE now offers extra standard equipment and notably more technology. The engine lineup remains unchanged aside from a revised diesel mill that complies with upcoming emission restrictions.
1960 Jaguar XK 150 S 3.8 Drophead Coupe
The Jaguar XK 150 was the final evolution of the original XK launched in 1949 and, as such, it was the most refined and the most powerful of them all. The S version came with a 3.8-liter engine from the Mark IX that developed 265-horsepower, impressive for the year 1960.
Just like its predecessor, the XK 140, the XK 150 was larger than the original XK 120, but it received some aesthetic improvements to make it look more modern. It originally came with the 3.4-liter DOHC inline-6 XK engine which developed 182 horsepower thanks to the updated cylinder head. The first XK 150s were sold in FHC (fixed-head coupe) specification with the drophead coupes arriving in 1958.
The XK 150 was kept in production until the end of 1960 when the final XK 150s were built for the 1961 model year. The following March, the E-Type was announced, and we all know how that went. But the appearance of the E-Type does not diminish the importance of the XK 120, and its XK 140 and XK 150 brethren, and the fact that now there’s an increasing market for these lush sports tourers.
1950 Jaguar XK 120 Alloy Roadster
The Jaguar XK120 was a turning point in Jaguar’s history and a sign of things to come. It was the fastest car in the whole world at the time of its launch in 1948 and remains one of the most beautiful British cars ever made.
First showcased at the 1948 London Auto Show held at the Earls Court, the XK120 was cheerfully received by an enthusiastic crowd who fell in love with the curvaceous and streamlined bodywork which covered the new XK inline-6 engine which promised never-before-seen performance on the road.
The first 242 XK120s were built with an alloy body until demand became so great that Jaguar switched to a different plant and began mass production in mid-1950. The XK120 spawned the XK140 and XK150 models which were successful evolutions of the concept and lasted in production all the way to the dawn of the ‘60s.
The Lister LFP is a 200-MPH F-Pace Itching to be the Fastest SUV in the World
Recently revived British company Lister revealed an all-new car - the Lister LFP. It’s a heavily tuned Jaguar F-Pace, crafted to be “the fastest SUV in the world.”
This isn’t the first time that Lister prepared a tuned Jag. In fact, only a month or so ago, the company gave us a car dubbed the LFT-666, a 666-horsepower F-Type with numerous pieces differentiating it from the stock F-Type cars. Obviously, Lister crafted a comprehensive tuning program for the F-Pace as well. After all, one cannot craft the fastest SUV in the world without making a lot of improvements.
2018 Lister LFP
Fresh off the unveiling the devilish, 666-horsepower
based LFT-666, British tuner Lister is back with its next project, this time based on Jag’s resident SUV, the F-Pace. Called, the Lister LFP, this SUV was prepared and developed for one purpose: to become the fastest SUV in the world. Only 250 units of the Lister LFP will be made, each coming with a price tag of £140,000, or around $180,000 based on current exchange rates.
2018 Jaguar XJ50
One of the most iconic sedans ever produced, the Jaguar XJ is celebrating 50 years in 2018. And the British firm launched a special anniversary model at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. Introduced in 2009, the current XJ is the eighth generation of the sedan that served as luxury transportation for many VIPs over the years. Jaguar is celebrating this special event with a handful of add-ons to the vehicle’s exterior and cabin. It also modified its badge for the event, renaming it the XJ50.
The XJ goes back all the way to 1968 when it was launched to replace the S-Type and the Mark 2. The first XJ was produced until 1992 with significant upgrades in 1973 and 1979. A complete redesign followed in 1986, with new updates in 1994 and 1997. The previous-generation XJ was unveiled in 2003 and received a facelift in 2007, two years before it was discontinued in 2009. The current model is already nine years old, and a new generation is about to be released. Until that happens, let’s take a closer look at this anniversary special edition.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
Jaguar introduced the F-Pace compact luxury crossover back in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, eventually bringing it stateside in May of 2016. Lauded by critics as both beautiful and opulent (and when equipped with a supercharged V-6, pretty quick too), the F-Pace is the right machine for a segment overflowing with demand. Now, Jag’s first-ever SUV gets the go-faster treatment courtesy of JLR’s performance and customization division, Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). Making its debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the F-Pace SVR is framed as a combination of sports car performance and practical SUV design, adding two cylinders, loads of extra power, a fresh aesthetic, and a whole lot more over the standard model.

2018 Jaguar XJR575
The Jaguar XJ has been around since 1968 and has been Jaguar’s prized flagship for the last 47 years. Over the years, it has seen three generational shifts, if you don’t count the various series’ produced within each generation. The current and fourth generation has been around since 2009, so it’s getting a little long in the tooth. It still looks good, though, and is fairly modern, with an update taking place for 2017 that brought some new technology, a revised exterior look, and a number of new trim levels to choose from. Jaguar has chosen to forgo the generational shift just yet, but for 2018, the XJ does get a new update in the form of a brand new trim level that brings a 5.0-liter V-8 that’s good for 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet – enough to get the new XJR575 up to its top speed of 186 mph in just 44 seconds while the sprint to 60 mph takes just 4.4 seconds, making the XJR575 the fasted and most powerful road-going production Jaguar to date.
Along with the new trim level, the XJ line also gets some new intelligent safety features and technology that includes a 10-inch touchscreen display, new infotainment operating system, forward traffic detection, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and drive condition monitoring. That seems like a lot of new stuff to infuse into a model that’s creeping up on 10 years old, but you’ve got to hand it to Jaguar for designing a model that’s capable of lasting this long and upgradeable enough to remain relevant in a constantly evolving market. So, with that said, let’s dive on in and take a good look and Jaguar’s newest, fastest, and best XJ model to date.
Update 9/6/2017: Jaguar has decided to offer the XJR575 here in the U.S. and it starts out at $122,400. But, there’s quite a few options to choose from and some decisions to make, so check out the pricing section below to learn all about those and see what a fully-speced XJR575 will cost you outside of a divorce, of course.
2019 Jaguar E-Pace SVR
Having struggled for many decades with few and often outdated products, Jaguar made a big step toward getting back on the horse by launching its first-ever SUV, the F-Pace. Inspired by the F-Type sports car, the F-Pace received a smaller brother, called the E-Pace, in 2017. Designed to compete against the likes of the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, the E-Pace is not yet in dealerships as of July 2017, but we’re already thinking about what versions Jaguar might release soon. Obviously, a beefed-up SVR variant is at the top of our list.
Would an E-Pace SVR make sense right now? Definitely. At this point, you can’t have too many SUVs, especially performance-oriented, premium ones. Now you could argue that the E-Pace SVR might not have many competitors to go against in this niche, but that’s exactly the point. Jaguar can become one of the first to step in this market instead of doing what it usually does: following the path laid by others. But of course, this means that Jaguar must move fast and launch the E-Pace SVR before BMW rolls out the X1 M and takes some market share from the Mercedes-AMG GLA45 and Audi RS Q3. And while Jaguar has yet to confirm a small SVR, we went ahead and created a rendering to go with our speculative review.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace
Jaguar went on record back in May of 2015, saying it wanted a baby crossover to slot in below the F-Pace. It took a couple of years, and a few teasers to get to this point, but we’re finally here, and Jaguar has delivered its promise in typical Jag fashion. Sporting a simple, yet perfectly defined body and a technologically advanced cabin that’s as plush as it is attractive, Jaguar has practically redefined the compact SUV segment. With tons of interior space for its size, a sophisticated suspension system that provides a smooth ride, and a range of 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines that deliver as little as 147 horsepower or as much as 295 horsepower. But, there’s one major Caveat, it’s set to start out around $38,600 in entry-level form, and that puts it a bit more expensive than models like the BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA that it competes with.
With that in mind, you need to know that the E-Pace is a really big deal. It’s bigger brother; the F-Pace, has grown in sales by 44 percent through May of 2017, meaning that Jaguar’s design language and style philosophy is right in line with what the masses want. And, when you consider that luxury segment buyers are pretty picky, that’s saying a lot for a market that’s so crowded with SUVs at the current time. Needless to say, the E-Pace has a lot to live up to and, based on first impressions, I have to say this thing is going to be an amazing success, but we’ll talk more about that later. Does it have what it takes to put the X1 and GLA in their place, even with a significantly higher price tag? Well, let’s dive on in and take a good look to find out.
2019 Jaguar I-Pace
Jaguar entered a new era in 2013 when it launched the F-Type and regained the sporty and innovative spirit it had lost in recent decades. The British company made another big step into the future in 2015, when the F-Pace became the first SUV to wear the "Cat" logo. In 2016, Jaguar unveiled yet another crossover, this time around in the shape of an all-electric crossover. Dubbed I-Pace, it previewed the company’s first-ever battery-powered production model. Come 2018, and the I-Pace made its debut as the brand’s first production model to work on electricity alone.
Unveiled at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, the I-Pace concept was loosely based on the F-Pace styling-wise but ditched Jaguar’s already familiar four-cylinder, V-6, and V-8 powerplants for a pair of electric motors and a battery pack. Less than 18 months later and the concept morphed (without too many changes) into a production car that will probably tackle the Tesla Model X on the premium market. Designed from the outset as an electric vehicle and described as a smart five-seater that’s "a performance car, a family car, and an SUV all in one," the I-Pace brings to fruition the electrification process that the company began back in 2010 with the C-X75 concept. 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake
Introduced in 2007 to replace the ageing S-Type, the Jaguar XF was redesigned for the 2016 model year. The makeover brought an evolutionary restyling but turned the four-door sedan in a sportier proposition on the outside and a more luxurious vehicle on the inside. The XF also received new drivetrains, most notably the company’s recently launched 2.0-liter four-cylinder in both gasoline and diesel formats. The 3.0-liter V-6 was also carried over, but with significant upgrades. Unlike the first-generation model, the second-gen XF arrived without a wagon version. This changed for the 2018 model year when Jaguar launched a redesigned XF Sportbrake.
Making things that much better, it’s available in the U.S. too!
The Sportbrake’s return is a bit surprising, especially since Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design, once predicted the death of the station wagon. But, while I’d like to know what made him change his mind, I’m actually glad that the Sportbrake is back in dealerships and especially in the U.S., where the midsize market was limited to just two models, with a couple more available in other niches. Sure, it’s still ridiculous, but with three different products in the premium market, we finally have some proper action going on.

2018 Jaguar XF
The Jaguar XF was first introduced in 2007 as a replacement for the Jaguar S-Type and has been a fairly successful model, with 202,678 models sold between 2009 and 2016. In 2015, the XF went through a generational shift that didn’t change its overall design too drastically but did bring about the use of aluminum, allowing Jag to shed more than 400 pounds compared to the first-gen model. The second-gen model is offered with a wide variation of engines that include diesel and gasoline models, depending on the market. The 2.0-liter diesel engine gave buyers the option of a six-speed manual transmission, but going with the larger diesel or any of the gasoline drinkers sticks you with an automatic. An AWD system is available with some drivetrain configurations, and power output ranged anywhere between 161 and 375 ponies.
It’s only been two years since the second-gen XF rolled into showrooms, and for 2017, the U.S. model was updated to include a diesel engine for the first time. No other notable changes came with the 2017 model year, but 2018 might be a different story if these spy shots are any indication. The prototype you see here is wearing extensive camo for some reason and, while it’s hard to spot any real changes, there are a few. It’s way too early for Jag to be testing a third-gen model, so it looks like we may see a serious design update in the near future. For now, let’s take a better look at these spy shots and talk a little more about it.
