The most powerful Jeep->ke40 vehicle ever - the Grand Cherokee SRT8 - is preparing to enter the 2013 model year with the addition of two new special editions: the Vapor and the Alpine. Both of these new editions will sport unique exterior features and a Black Vapor Chrome finish on the split 5-spoke wheels.

As their names suggest, the new Alpine Edition features a very cool, bright white paint finish, while the Vapor is painted in a brilliant black. The Black Vapor wheels on both models join unique gloss black exterior appointments, including a Jeep hood badge, a Grand Cherokee->ke936 door badge, a front grille surround and inserts, a rear light bar, and a step pad.

Jeep has kept its usual 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine under the hood which delivers 470 HP and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. With this power, the SRT8 goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, runs the quarter mile in the mid-13 second range, and hits a top speed of 160 mph.

The 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8 is priced at $59,995 and the new Alpine and Vapor special edition packages only add an additional $2,495 to the price, making these special editions a bargain at $62,490.
