Competitors
With all these updates, the 2014 Jeep Compass becomes a more serious competitor in front of all the other models offered on the market.
Toyota RAV4 has just entered a new generation; it receives updates on the exterior and interior, plus a new four-cylinder engine, while the V-6 powerplant is no longer an option. This new, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a total of 176 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 172 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm.
For Escape also enters a new generation for the 2013 model year. It receives 11 new exclusive features, including three engines with improved fuel economy: 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost unit.
If you ask us, the Escape will definitely be the model we will opt for: it looks pretty cool, offers three engines to choose from and already impressed lots of new customers.
Conclusion
With its updates, the 2014 Jeep Compass became a model that catches more attention on the market. Plus that the new North trim level is offering standard features that put it on the top of its competitors. We'll just have to wait for the prices to see what happens.
