Jeep Performance Parts - aka JPP - and Mopar have designed the best looking Wrangler 4xe ever. One of the ten Easter Jeep Safari concepts, the Jeep Birdcage Concept by JPP has been described as "a wide-open-air extreme 4x4 machine" that will offer "industry-best capability, as well as its class-exclusive, off-road 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain." The concept will be displayed at Moab, Utah, April 9-17, 2022.

The main purpose of the Birdcage Concept is to offer a better off-road experience. For this, the front approach angle was improved by adding a custom rock-slider skid plate that connects two rounded two-inch steel support bars. The 4xe is also better at rock crawling thanks to a recessed Warn winch protected by a slider plate.

The concept is finished in a very cool Eagle Brown metallic paint combined with Granite Crystal metallic and various signature Jeep 4xe Surf Blue accents.

It also comes equipped with an industry-first JPP two-inch lift kit with FOX shocks that were specially designed for the plug-in hybrid electric SUV.

For the best off-road experience, the concept was equipped with a new set of JPP five-spoke beadlock wheels measuring 17 by 8.5 inches and wrapped in BFGoodrich KM3 37-inch tires. They, of course, required larger flat-fender flares and wheel liners.

Also, because this is a concept designed for off-road experiences, JPP added underbody rock lights at all four corners, custom rock rails on each side with additional slider tubes mounted for enhanced body protection. The windshield and windshield wipers were also removed.

On the interior, the seats are wrapped in a combination of Tobacco Leaf and Cocoa Brown leather combined with Surf Blue accent stitching. The same treatment is applied to the instrument panel, steering wheel, shifter boot, and emergency-brake handle.

The concept is also equipped with a custom JPP instrument-panel accessory rail, Mopar stainless-steel pedals covered in black rubber for better traction, and Armorlite vinyl floor throughout the cabin. An Add-A-Trunk concept decklid panel provides security for accessories when the roof is removed and a Rhino-Rack cargo basket can store up to 600 pounds securely on the top of the roll cage. JPP also added a flip-down table that will serve both as, an eating and a working space.
