At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next week, Kia will unveil the new generation Cee’d hatchback, but they already have another variant in the works. An MPV/Crossover model will also be offered to serve as Kia’s version of the upcoming Hyundai ix30 and it has just been caught testing for the first time.

The new Kia Cee’d MPV will be built on the same platform as the upcoming Hyundai ix30 and will come as a replacement for the Carens/Rondo. The new model will be offered in both 5 and 7 seat configurations and will feature a more conventional design language than the Hyundai ix30. Expect to see an exterior design similar to the one already previewed by the new Cee’d hatchback with Kia’s new trademark "tiger-nose" grille and aggressive, wraparound headlamp clusters housing signature LED daytime running lights.

The new Cee’d MPV will be unveiled sometime in 2013 and will be fighting against the Volkswagen Touran, the Ford C-Max, and the Mazda 5, among others.

I think I should better wait for further updates of the engines and other specifications.

Didn’t this turn out to be typical, but beautiful?

Ah, I truly cannot judge it yet! The parts it bares are so common that there are no comments for them.

I never relied on KIA, to be honest. However, I’ll see if this MPV of theirs can really be called an MPV. I must wait for it to unveil its style and capability.

I think InMyOpinion didn’t read thoroughly. The covers deceived me! I want to clearly see its exterior design; it sounds promising.

I think this replacement for Carens/Rondo still not good enough to please the public. Am I right that the Hyundai ix30 and this C’eed shares the same platform?

There’s a lot of MPV in the Geneva and C’eed is one of them. Good thing for this C’eed is the range of seating capacity from five to seven.

With what I saw today about Kia Cee’d MPV, I prefer to have the Hyundai ix30 for its unexceptional looks and aggressive stance. Maybe its not that late to fix it all up.
