Kia has brought the 2020 Cadenza on stage at the 2020 Chicago Motor Show and we've got to say, the aesthetic tweaks have worked wonders on the sedan, which goes on sale this year in two trims: Technology and Limited, as Premium has been discontinued.

Concretely, the 2020 Kia Cadenza packs a redesigned grille with deeper vertical, waterfall-style slats and a new hood. The LED daytime-running lights have new graphics, too, while the turn signals are now integrated into the lower bumper area. In the back, the cosmetic treatment includes a tweaked rear bumper and trunk lid, but also new graphics for the LED taillights. The 2020 Cadenza rides on newly-designed 18-inch wheels, but you can also opt for the 19-inch rollers.

Kia didn't overlook the Cadenza's interior, so the 2020 model year gets its fair share of add-ons, with most relating to technology:

-* 4.2-inch TFT instrument panel

-* 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen with standard Bluetooth connectivity

-* multi-color LED ambient lights (solely on the Limited model)

-* Nappa leather seat trim (Saddle Brown and Gray)

-* quilted seat bolsters (Limited only)

-* three extra USB ports

-* new 10-watt, induction fast-charge pad

-* new Smart Key (standard)

On the powertrain front Kia left things as they were for the 2019 Cadenza. In more detail, the all-aluminum 3.3-liter V-6 makes 290 horsepower fed to the front wheels through an eight-speed Sportmatic automatic gearbox. Torque remains 253 pound-feet, so sans any sort of drivetrain changes, the 2020 Cadenza should be good for the same fuel economy figures as the 2019 model: 20 mph city, 27 mph highway, and 23 mph combined.

Sales kick off later this year, which is when we'll also be able to provide price-related info. The 2019 Cadenza Technology start at $38,200, so don't be surprised if the 2020 model demands at least $40,000.
