The 2021 Koenigsegg Gemera is a two-door, four-seat hypercar developed by the Swedish company that gave us the Agera, Regera, and Jesko. But unlike its siblings, and despite having only two doors, the 2021 Gemera offers seating for four. And it does so via four equally comfortable seats, so it’s not just a regular grand tourer. The 2021 Gemera boasts a hybrid drivetrain under the skin, comprising three electric motor and a three-cylinder engine. As shocking as it may sound, the three-cylinder generates 600 horsepower, making it the most powerful of its kind in production, and works on a variety of fuels, including CO2-neutral methanol. Overall, the hybrid drivetrain pumps out an amazing 1,700 horsepower and 2,581 pound-feet of torque. It could be the world’s first 300-mph production car!

The Koenigsegg Jesko is the company’s latest supercar, third megacar, and spiritual successor to the iconic Agera. Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Jesko boasts a power-to-weight ratio greater than 1:1, which means its engine generates more horsepower than the car’s total curb weight in kilograms. Koenigsegg offered similar versions of the One:1 and Agera, but the Jesko takes things one step further with an impressive downforce rating of 2,205 pounds.

Named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg, the Jesko marks the debut of the firm’s latest carbon-fiber chassis and nine-speed multi-clutch transmission. Surprise, Surprise - The 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko is Already Sold Out

It didn’t take long for all of the 125 units to find owners, in spite of the $3 million price tag

You’d need a dictionary of superlatives to appropriately describe Koenigsegg’s latest creation, the Jesko. That’s because it is a hypercar with a credible bid to reach 300 mph, is powered by a 1,578 horsepower 5.0-liter V-8, and it is no longer available. That is right, all of the 125 units have already found an owner, and that means you’ll have to wait until one of them decides to sell his or hers at a premium.

The Jesko is Koenigsegg’s replacement for the Agera. You can spot the shared DNA if you look at the roofline and the greenhouse but, beyond that, the Jesko is a step into the future in almost all areas. People seem to dig this evolutionary pattern as they flocked to buy the Jesko, named in honor of Christian Von Koenigsegg’s father, even before it was officially unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show. In fact, 83 of the 125 Jeskos that will be made were sold prior to the Swiss show.

Big, bad, incredibly fast, and relatively well-rounded too

As the car world goes absolutely bananas over the release of the quarter-mile killing insane-o-mobile known as the Demon at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, Koenigsegg is providing anyone with muscle car overload with a little respite. Say hello to the Agera RS1, a speedy Swedish meatball that’s far more car than the domestic straight-line one-trick pony from Dodge.

Koenigsegg first launched production of the Agera in 2011, and updated it by adding upgrades and special iterations every few years. The most notable of these is the venerable One:1, which was released at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014 with an incredible one-to-one power-to-weight ratio, producing one horsepower for every kg of curb weight.

The Agera RS could be considered a follow up to the One:1, using a lot of the same equipment but with a slightly less bonkers power-to-weight ratio. That said, it’s still very fast, offering an impressive 0.83 horsepower per kg.

Regardless, the Agera RS is an absolute performance powerhouse, framed as “the ultimate track tool” for buyers. This RS1 model is the first example off the production line, bearing a bespoke exterior and interior worthy of such a machine.

2017 Koenigsegg Agera RS ‘Gryphon’

An RS with just the right amount of gold flake for unparalleled elegance? Yes, please!

Koenigsegg had a real winner on its hands when it introduced the 2010 Agera. So much so, that a number of other models like the Agera R, Agera S, and Agera X all came to be within just a few years. Then, in 2015, we were introduced to the Agera RS, a car that is billed as the “ultimate track tool” and slots above the Agera R, but below the One:1. Through a means of improved aerodynamics and weight reduction, the RS truly became a powerful track demon. Only 25 RS examples were built, all of which sold out quickly, with the first 10 being spoken for before the car even went into production. Now, two years later, Koenigsegg is coming back to the Geneva Motor Show with a new version of the RS, but this isn’t exactly a version you want to take on the track, even if it’s more than capable. Fitted with the optional 1MW engine, and doused with healthy doses of gold flake, this baby is the definition of special editions.

But, it’s not all about the gold flake and horsepower when it comes to the Agera RS Gryphon. This thing is prepped to be fully compliant with U.S. road regulations, which means you can drive this 1,360-horsepower beast from coast to coast if you really want to. There are plenty of cabin comforts and driving aids, and the roof can even be stored under the front hood. It’s a beautiful and well-appointed special edition, so let’s dive on in and take a closer look at it, and what makes it so special.

Koenigsegg Heads To Geneva With A Pair Of Regeras That’ll Turn You Green With Envy And Red With Lust

The rides of two very lucky customers will bare it all under the Swiss lights

A few years back, Koenigsegg wowed the world with the debut of the Regera at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. In case you’re unaware, the Regera is an absurdly fast high-powered plug-in hybrid hypercar capable of spinning the world backwards like Superman turning back time. Now, the manufacturer from Sweden is heading back to Switzerland to show off the initial pair of customer-bound Regera models, both of which are still hot off the floor from Keonigsegg’s production facility in Angelholm.

These latest Swedish meatballs represent the first time Koenigsegg has built two individual cars simultaneously, and demonstrate the rapid expansion that the niche automaker has experienced over the course of the past year. That expansion now includes two specific model lines on tap (the Regera and the Agera), a growing dealer network, and a staff that’s nearly doubled in size.

And that’s to be expected when considering the quality of the product on hand. For example, the first Regera slated to show in Geneva is draped in an exterior color similar to British Racing Green. That emerald-like hue is courtesy of a green-tinted clear coat, which shows the carbon fiber weave hiding underneath if you look close enough. Inside the cabin is Saddle Brown leather upholstery with a basket weave, while flat leather is used for the seats, rear wall, doors, and steering wheel. In the corners are Tresex hollow-core carbon rollers, which offer a 40-percent reduction in weight when compared to traditional alloys. The tires are Michelin’s Pilot Sport 4S compound.

Joining the green Regera is another sovereign automobile, this time finished in candy apple red with bare black carbon running up the middle. This example also gets bare carbon for the side intakes, while the cabin gets a black leather interior with Lingonberry trim. Meanwhile, the wheels are three-spoke carbon units in a custom design.

Both owners are expected to take delivery of their respective Regeras in the next few months.

Koenigsegg offers three final Ageras, with each one tailored to the customers liking

If you were to travel just one year into the past and take a trip to the Geneva Auto Show, you would see an exciting debut of the Koenigsegg Agera RS. Move forward just ten months, and you would find that all 25 units of the Agera RS were already spoken for – making it the fastest selling model in the brand’s history. As you step forward into the present, you’ll find another Agera making its debut at the Geneva Auto Show, but this time, it is called the Koenigsegg One of 1 and it is a very special model.

The One of 1 is part of Koenigsegg’s Agera Final program that is designed to pay homage to the Agera RS and give owners an unprecedented input into the design and specification of the car. A total of three vehicles will be built under the Agera Final series. The thing about these three models is that each one, like the one seen here, will be completely unique. When it comes to the model displayed here, the customer wanted an Agera that was as close as possible to the One:1 performance-wise, while maintaining the roof window, luggage space, and stowable roof. Koenigsegg delivered in as fashionable a way as it could, debuting the first unique model at the Geneva Auto Show.

Since the Agera Final series is a three-car celebration of the sold-out Agera Range, Koenigsegg has opened its book of options to each customer, allowing any and every option to be selected as standard equipment. In addition, each model will also feature a bespoke aerodynamic treatment that will also set them apart from anything else out there. Some of the options that are now available at no cost include the 1MW engine upgrade, Aircore hollow carbon fiber wheels, and a clear or partially clear carbon finish.

So with that said, let’s take a close look at the “One of 1” and see what the customer chose to do with this totally unique Agera. One thing is for sure: we’ll never see another like it.

Koenigsegg Regera Unveiled in Geneva

Koenigsegg has been teasing us over a new hypercar that it has dubbed the Regera, and today the automaker finally unveiled it. And with this debut, Koenigsegg has officially blown its mold to smithereens, as not only is this a plug-in hybrid hypercar – something Koenigsegg was completely against in the past – but it is also far more luxurious than anything else the Swedish brand offers.

We’ll get to the luxury side of things here in a bit, but let’s focus on what really matter the most: the hybrid drivetrain. On the gas side of the equation is a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine with a dry-sump oil system. Alone, this engine cranks out a massive 1,100 brake horsepower, but three YASA-built electric motors chime in with an additional dose of torque for off-the-line acceleration and torque vectoring. One of the electric motors is at the crankshaft, and it adds 221 pound-feet of torque, while the remaining two power the rear wheels and produce 192 pound-feet each.

The power from this system is routed through a new Koenigsegg Direct Drive transmission, which replaces the standard gear-based transmission. This new transmission reduces parasitic power loss and helps improve power delivery. The only real downside to this setup is that it weighs 194 pounds more than the traditional transmission.

Koenigsegg Agera RS Confirmed To Arrive At 2015 Geneva Motor Show

The limited Koenigsegg lineup will apparently be expanding as soon as the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, with the Swedish supercar manufacturer teasing a so-called Agera RS model on its official Facebook page. This will not be the first Geneva Motor Show where Koenigsegg has brought something new, with last year’s edition of the show hosting the world premiere of the bonkers Koenigsegg One:1, named for its 1,360 PS (1,341 horsepower) and 1,360 kg (2,998-pound) weight.

While the Swedes have been tight-lipped about any information other than the upcoming model’s name, it is believed that the Agera RS may either slot between the Agera R and the One:1 or will simply be a track-only version of the Agera, in the style of the Pagani Zonda R and the Ferrari FXX K.

What can be known is that it will have a new version of the twin-turbocharged, 5.0-liter, V-8 found in every other current Koenigsegg. As a reminder, the powerplant develops 1,030 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque in the base Agera S and plenty more in the insane One:1. Other than a different amount of power, the model may also get some new suspension parts and likely a new bodykit, my guess being that it may look like a One:1 on steroids from most points of view.
