Labor Day Weekend is here and for some of us that means its time to go car shopping. So, what kind of deals can you get on a brand-new car during Labor Day Weekend 2019? Well, some automakers are offering model-specific deals that can earn you some really steep discounts. Others have simply dropped interest rates on financing or offer a little bit of cash back. Either way, we’ve put together a short guide to get you in the spirit and prepared for your shopping expenditures this weekend!

The Biggest New-Car Discounts for Labor Day 2019

Dodge Journey

For Labor Day weekend, Dodge is hoping to move the Dodge Journey in big numbers despite the fact that it’s older than dirt and far from on par with what its competitors offer. This year Dodge is offering between $3,250 and $4,250 depending on your area and trim level selected. If you finance a 2019 model at standard rates, you can get another $1,000-$1,500 off while some people with “low credit” are being considered for an additional $1,250 off MSRP. Dodge is also offering 0-percent financing for 36 months plus $2,000 to $3,250 in cash back which is, of course, dependent on the trim level selected and your specific region.

Ford Edge

The Ford Edge is one of the sportier offerings in Ford’s SUV and crossover lineup, and it slots below the Ford Flex. This Labor Day weekend Ford is offering anywhere between $5,000 and $5,700 off the Edge, depending on your location and trim selection. With that in mind, we estimate that you can step into a 2019 Edge this weekend for anywhere between about $25,000 and about $37,000 if the range-topping ST trim is included int his offer. If your dealer has any inventor sitting on the lot for more than 61 days, you could be eligible for discounts of $6,000 to $7,500. Ford is also offering 3.9-percent financing for up to 84 months while some buyers (most likely those with amazing credit) can get 0-percent financing for 60 months and up to $4,000 is bonus cash. These deals run through September 3rd, so you better act accordingly if you want to take advantage.

Kia Optima

Kia doesn’t have as good of a Labor Day sale as Ford does, but you can step into a 2019 Kia Optima for as much as 15-percent off depending on your dealer and selected trim. There’s also word that you can get as much as $3,000 of the Optima LX or up to $4,000 of higher trim levels through September 3rd (Optima Hybrid and PHEV, not included). Through September 3rd you can also enjoy 0-percent financing if you’re qualified.

Finance the entry-level Murano and you could get between $2,250 and $3,250 cash back depending on your location. Both financing deals are only good for 26 months.

Final Thoughts

When you’re out hunting for a new car and enjoying your three-day (or maybe longer?) weekend, it’s important to shop around as much as possible. A lot of dealers are franchised and are allowed to make their own deals as well, so it’s entirely possible that your local dealer could offer way better discounts than what we’ve mentioned it. As always, make sure you research market value of a given vehicle, and never considering paying the sticker price without negotiating first – there’s always room for haggling when it comes to car buying and that holds true on new cars as well, even on Labor Day Weekend. Best of luck to all of you and, if you happen to stumble across any exceptional deals or want to show off your new ride, please hit us up in the comments section below!
