Life cycles and variations of certain models can sometimes be easily predicted. We already know that the release of the new Lamborghini Aventador will give way to a roadster version. We anticipate this launch to occur sometime at the end of 2012, with sales beginning in Spring 2013.

The latest word on the street is that Lamborghini->ke44 is also working on a rather unusual version of the Aventador->ke3624. The first details on this new version suggest that it will be called the Aventador GT and will be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Compared to the standard Aventador, the new GT version will be built on an extended wheelbase and will add two small rear jump seats. This means that the model will feature a different door concept, probably with short rear suicide panels.

The upcoming GT version will be powered by the same V12 engine as the coupe and will deliver the same 700 HP. Of course, the added weight and modified structure of the GT model will taper back the sports car's performance times. The Aventador GT should also have a less aggressive suspension and gearbox setup because four people in a car with as high of a spring rate as the Aventador will make that thing ride like a go cart on cobblestones.

More details on the Lamborghini Aventador GT should be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
