The Lamborghini Aventador has been around for five years and it’s a testament to the supercar’s reputation that it’s still a favorite from the aftermarket tuning scene to this day. We’ve seen a handful of tuners build programs for the Aventador this year and the latest is the recent start-up, 1016 Industries, a relative neophyte to the tuning scene. For this program, the tuner was able to cover a significant number of modifications, none more impressive than the engine upgrade package that came out with 780 horsepower.

To be clear, the complete program has yet to be announced as a visit to the tuner’s website only reveals a “coming soon” banner. But a significant amount of details on what’s in store have been revealed and collectively, the upgrades point to an impressive build altogether. Of equal importance is the carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit that 1016 Industries claims was crafted using the latest in 3D scanning, laser scanning, and virtual modelling. It’s hard to argue against those methods, especially when you see how big these components are. Just as impressive is the tuner’s ability to partner with the best aftermarket companies in the business. In this case, that would be ADV.1 wheels, which provided a set of stellar Gunmetals CS Series rims to round out the program.

There are times when trusting a newbie to the aftermarket tuning game can be a risky proposition. But 1016 Industries doesn’t appear to be of that mold, at least when you judge what it was able to build for the timeless Lamborghini Aventador.

Exterior

1016 Industries may not be a household name in the Lamborghini tuning scene, but give credit to the company for taking pride in its work. The exterior upgrades for the Lambo supercar is comprised of a massive, full aero-grade carbon fiber kit that includes a front spoiler and modular front lip on the front, side skirts and detachable side outer flippers on the sides, and a rear wing and a two-piece diffuser at the back. The wing and diffuser, in particular, are things of carbon fiber beauty that completely reinvents the Lambo's backend design while also providing massive improvements in downforce. The result is an Aventador that looks like it’s been injected with some performance-enhancing drugs.

Rounding out the exterior upgrades are a new set of 22-inch lightweight Gunmetal ADV5.0 Track Spec CS-Series rims from ADV.1 Wheels.

Drivetrain

In standard form, the Lamborghini Aventador’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine produces a mouth-watering 700 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque. The numbers are impressive by themselves, but like any tuner worth its salt, 1016 Industries opted to take the Aventador’s abilities to the next level. So the tuner did just that by adding sports catalysts, high-flow air intakes, and a custom exhaust to go with a recalibration of the supercar’s ECU unit.

An exclusive gearbox was also added to the recalibrated driveline, bringing the V-12’s output to a tremendous 780 horsepower. No torque numbers were announced, but considering the extra horses it was able to churn out, somewhere in the vicinity of 560 pound-feet of torque isn’t out of the question. Take those new power numbers and you’re looking at a Lamborghini that can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds and hit a top speed of about 220 mph. Not too bad for an up-and-coming tuner, right?

Pricing

No pricing details have been announced, which makes sense considering that the program has yet to be launched. But it's coming very soon so when it does arrive, be sure to contact 1016 Industries directly to get a proper price quote on the specific components you'd like your Aventadors to receive.

Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce by Novitec Torado

Novitec Torado has been quite busy the past few months building its tuning profile for Lamborghini models. Back in May 2016, the German tuner presented a kit for the Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce that included a new engine upgrade package designed to round out the Lambo’s performance credentials. The kit was only made up of a new engine mapping software and a new sports exhaust system, but even the simplicity of it was enough to drive up the supercar’s output to 786 horsepower and 544 pound-feet of torque, just a shade more than what 1086 Industries was able to do. Novitec didn’t indicate the resulting performance increases, but a 0-to-60-mph run of about 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 220 mph are safe estimates.

Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 LaMaxxina by Wheelsandmore

Wheelsandmore needs no introduction. The German presented its program for the Aventador back in December 2015 and it still regarded as one of the most powerful tunes for the Lambo. The tuner was able to get 800 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque out of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine by simply remapping the V-12’s engine control unit. The result is a sprint to 60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds – same as Novitec Torado – and a top speed of 218 mph.

Conclusion

In a word, this tuning kit is promising. You can tell that 1016 Industries worked hard on that carbon fiber aerodynamic kit and the engine upgrade. Having ADV.1 as a supplier of wheels doesn’t hurt the program’s cache either. The tuner may not have the name that other Lambo tuners have, but if it can continue building kits like this for both the Aventador and the Huracan, I predict big things to come from 1016 Industries. Heck of a first impression in my book.
