Lamborghini has gone the open top route again to build this street-legal, 750+ horsepower one-off beast
by Sidd Dhimaan, on LISTEN 03:06Lamborghini’s Motorsport division, Squadra Corse, is back with another one-off project called the SC20, following the SC18 Alston and the SCV12. With a blue and white theme all around, the supercar takes inspiration from a lot of other bulls from the company’s portfolio. It features a V-12 engine that makes 759 horses, and, to make the deal even sweeter, Lamborghini has said that the SC20 is road legal!

What’s Special About The Lamborghini SC20?
The Lamborghini SC20 draws inspiration from several models, which include the Diablo VT Roadster, Aventador J, Veneno Roadster, and Concept S.
This bespoke model is finished in a white shade called Bianco Fu on a blue Blu Cepheus shade, based on the customer’s preference. Up front, it features a splitter that’s flanked by two fins. The air intakes on the hood are pronounced and reminiscent of the Huracan GT3 Evo. The SC20 wears a carbon fiber body that’s been chiseled with the signature Lamborghini design cues on all four sides.
Just like the SCV12, the SC20 is also aerodynamically sorted. This being an open-air beauty, the Italian automaker paid special attention to make sure there’s optimal airflow for both the vehicle’s performance and the occupants in the car even at high speeds. The SC20 rides on 20-inch wheels in the front and 21-inch in the back, all wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Step to the back and you’ll notice a large carbon fiber wing that can be set in three different positions – Low, Medium, and High Load.
Inside the cabin, the SC20 follows the same color theme as the exterior. There are bits of black and white shades, which are called Nero Cosmus and Bianco Leda in Lamborghini’s speak.
The interior feels plush, thanks to the generous use of carbon fiber on the dashboard cover, rear wall, door panels, center console, and steering wheel trim.
The seats are upholstered in Alcantara and leather, but the shells feature carbon fiber, too. The air vents are created using 3D printing technology.
Coming to the drivetrain, the Lamborghini SC20 is powered by the famous 6.5-liter, V-12 engine. It churns out 759 ponies and 531 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via a seven-speed gearbox and a central electronic differential. Lamborghini hasn’t revealed the performance specs, but expect it to hit the 60 mph mark from a standstill in around 2.5 seconds.
Engine | 6.5-liter, V-12 |
---|---|
Horsepower | 759 HP @ 8,500 rpm |
Torque | 531 LB-FT @ 6,750 rpm |
Transmission | seven-speed gearbox |
0 to 60 mph | 2.5 seconds |
How much does it cost, you ask? Well, we don’t know that either, but we speculate a price well over $5 million, considering that the first one-off build, the SC18 Alston, was priced at around $5 million, too.
