Three new packages give the Huracan a new look and won’t void the factory warranty

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and even the coolest cars out there end up getting replaced. That’s exactly what happened to the Lamborghini Gallardo when Lambo decided to replace the icon with an all-new model called the Huracan. Initially debuting at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, the supercar came with a 5.2-liter V-10 that was good for 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, LED illumination, 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, generous portions of Alcantara and Nappa leather, and lots of other features that were clear improvements over anything the Gallardo could offer.

The 610-4 Coupe eventually spawned the 610-4 Polizia and the 610-4 Avio, and there was even a 620-2 Super Trofeo. By 2016, the Hurcan had an official LP 610-4 Spyder edition, and there was also an LP 580-2, which served as more of an entry-level model with rear-wheel drive. With the life cycle of the Huracan well underway, Lamborghini has finally announced three new after-sales packages that will assist current owners in giving their Huracan a new and sportier look.

These three packages are primarily focused on exterior enhancements, but there is a new center-lock kit that hasn’t been offered on the Huracan until now. With that said, let’s take a good look at what these new packages do for the Huracan.

What makes the After Sales Packages So Special

The first package on the list is called the Aerodynamic Kit. This kit includes a new front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a rather massive rear wing. The components are made from light, albeit strong, composite materials and will be delivered with a matt black finish. As you can see from the images we have on hand, the kit does give the Huracan a fresh appearance and is certainly pleasing to look at. According to Lambo, the entire kit was developed and tested in wind tunnels to ensure safety and is the only factory-approved aerodynamic kit for the Huracan. While the front splitter and side skirts aren’t exactly the most aggressive thing I’ve seen lately, less really is more in this case, and I love the way the car looks with this kit.

Next on the list is the Aesthetic Package, which is essentially a racing stripe kit for the Huracan. This “specially designed” livery comes pre-cut from the factory and is available in matt black, glossy black (as seen in these images,) or red and are applied from front to rear while matching the rear wing mirrors. Lamborghini points out that this livery is removable, and is easily removed without damaging the existing exterior paint. Depending on the color of your Huracan, it seems like gloss black is probably the best color option to go with, but I could see red working out with certain finishes. It’s a matter of taste, really, but combined with the Aerodynamic kit, it looks great.

Last but not least is the Center-Lock kit. These wheels were inspired by Super Trofeo and are compatible with all 20-inch Hurcan tires – meaning you won’t have to spend a sizeable chunk of money to buy new tires with them. As the first wheels of this type for the Huracan, they were developed with exclusive racing technology and come finished in shiny black. All told, I think all three of these packages are probably a must have for most Huracan owners. It seems as if the car would probably look weird if you didn’t go for all three, however, you could probably pull off leaving out the racing stripes or wheels. All I can tell you is that I would most definitely be going for at least the aero kit and the wheels.

As far as pricing goes, Lamborghini hasn’t announced that yet. However, the kits are products of the Accessori Originali Automobili Lamborghini range and are available for installation by more than 130 authorized dealers in 50 different countries. Furthermore, since they are supported and installed by Lambo, addition of these kits to your car won’t void your factory warranty. Try getting that piece of mind from an aftermarket tuner.
