Jaguar Land Rover has made a lot of gains since reinventing its identity as an aggressive brand willing to take on the big boys of the business. Now the company is looking to take things a step further by turning to its Special Vehicles Operations division to build halo models to further distinguish its models. The 500-employee-strong department isn’t sitting pretty these days. It was largely responsible for turning the F-Type Project 7 into a production sports car. Now, it’s setting its sights on another model, namely the Land Rover Defender SVR.
