Land Rover->ke46 has released two special editions->ke2041 for its popular Discovery->ke511 model. Headed for Europe and other parts of the globe, the two additions to the Discovery lineup include the Landmark Edition and this, the Graphite Edition.

Both offer bespoke parts and interior features that subtly set them apart from a standard Disco. Unique coloring on trim pieces, larger wheels, and the special edition badges that designate the exclusivity.

Specifically on the Graphite, the trim builds off the Black Pack option, adding a grey (graphite) finish to the fender vents and front grille, along with a light grey frame that surrounds the grille, looking almost like chrome in the photos. The graphite color continues onto the 19-inch alloy wheels and all the exterior badges.

Unlike the Landmark Edition that is limited to five color choices, the Graphite Edition comes with nine total choices. Three color choices are offered for the interior, giving the customer a rather wide selection of combinations.

Though Land Rover doesn’t specify, the Graphite Edition builds off the base SE model that’s also equipped with the Black Pack. Coming standard in this model is the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 that makes 256 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Of course, being a Discovery, the SUV->ke145 comes with Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 software that helps give the Discovery its legendary off-road capabilities.

For those looking to stand out – even in a crowd of Land Rovers, the Discovery Graphite Special Edition is a solid choice. Land Rover is changing £47,495, or roughly $72,668 for this edition.

What makes the Land Rover Discovery Graphite in detail

The Graphite Edition might not be as exclusive as the Landmark Edition, but it still gives customers a more unique Discovery without the higher cost. Its specially colored grille, side vents, wheels, and badges help set it apart to those who notice the details.

Inside, the Discovery doesn’t change much. Three color hues are offered, including Almond, Ebony, and Tan. And like all Discoveries, there is seating for seven within three rows. The stepped roof gives good headroom to even those in the third row. Folding the third row flat opens up the cargo area, nearly tripling the space.

Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery is a formidable machine that marries decent on-road driving characteristic and urban posh with world-class off-road abilities. The Discovery is offered the world over, including the U.S. as the LR4, and comes in a wide variety of trim levels. There’s even a commercial-duty trim sold in many parts of the world.

Power comes from several engine choices, including the 3.0-liter turbodiesel and the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6. Both do the job well, but aren’t comparable to say, the Range Rover’s supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 in terms of power. However, an eight-speed transmission helps the Discovery makes the most of both engines.

Prices for the Discovery range from £41,600.00 ($63,585) to well above £59,970.00 ($91,664).
