Land Rover introduced the Defender to the North American market for the first time back in 1993. It was an extensively modified Defender 110, in order to comply with the strict North American safety regulations. The SUV was powered by a 3.9-liter V-8 petrol engine.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the North American introduction of the Defender, Land Rover will offer a special Defender 30th Anniversary Edition. It will be limited to only 500 units - just like the initial export batch offered in the States, and will be priced from $75,000.

What makes the Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition special?

The special edition will be based on Defender 110 P300 S version, and offers a lot of features and accessories similar to the original model. It will be finished in Fuji White - a color very similar to the "Alpine" white used for the 1993 Defender.

The model will ride on a special set of 18-inch wheels finished in Gloss White Steel. The exterior package will be completed by a heritage-inspired badge placed on the rear tailgate. The interior will be a combination of Ebony grained leather used for the seats and White Powdercoat Brushed Finish applied for the cross beam.

Just like the original car, the 2023 Defender 30th Anniversary Edition will be equipped with lots of all-terrain-focused accessories, including an Expedition roof rack, front and rear classic mud flaps, rubber mats, fixed side steps, deployable ladder, wheel arch extensions, and an A-frame.

Unlike the 1993 model, the new special edition will also be offered with a lot of cool new features, like premium LED headlights, air suspension, front fog lamps, and convenience features such as the Activity Key. As an option, customers will also get a Cold Climate Pack, Tow Pack, Black Exterior Pack, and Off-Road Pack.

The 2023 Defender 30th Anniversary Edition will be offered at certain U.S. dealers at a price of $75,000. As mentioned, only 500 units will be built.
