The LC 500 Inspiration Series makes a comeback for the 2022 model year and it will be limited to 150 examples
by Alina Moore, onIf Europe got the very cool looking LC500 Hokkaido Edition, for the American market, Lexus continues a tradition that started back in 2018 with the launch of the LC500 Inspiration Concept. Yes, the special edition LC 500 Inspiration Series makes a comeback for the 2022 model year, and it will be offered for both coupe and convertible versions.
There will only be 150 examples built, and prices will start from $104,500 for the coupe version and $115,580 for the convertible one. The first units will arrive at dealership in late spring 2022.

What makes the 2022 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series special?
If the special edition offered in 2021 was all painted black, the model offered in 2022 will feature an Iridium exterior finish combined with various black elements, like the grille, headlamp, taillamp and rocker garnish, and the rear air wing spoiler on the coupe. For the convertible version the fabric top is finished in Dark Rose - a stunning contrast to the Iridium exterior.
Speaking of Dark Rose, the same color was used for the all-black interior as a contrast color. For example, the Semi-Aniline leather-trimmed seats feature Dark Rose stitching, perforation and Dark Rose front seat belts. The Convertible version offers a unique climate concierge with upper body heating and NuLuxe Headliner. A Mark Levinson 13-speaker 915-watt Reference Surround Sound Audio system is offered as standard, just like the SmartAccess Key Card and the Head-Up Display (HUD).
The car rides on unique, 3D-machined 21-inch wheels.
Unfortunately, this special edition offers no changes under the hood, which means it gets the same 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated, DOHC V-8 engine as the standard LC 500. It delivers a total of 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the engine pushes the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, while the top speed goes up to 168 mph.
