2022 Lexus LS 500
As Lexus’s flagship luxury sedan, the LS 500 brings a host of features to the table while costing considerably less than the S-Class and 7 Series. For the 2022 model year, it stayed the same physically but Lexus has added the Safety System + 2.5 as standard along with the Mark Levinson sound system as an option to the base trim. So, will it satiate your thirst for luxury and the feeling of being in an executive sedan?
2022 Lexus RX Premium Sport Edition
Lexus UK added a new special edition to its RX lineup. Called RX Premium Sport Edition will be offered for both the five-seat RX and the RX L in six or seven-seat form and will be priced at £57,165 for the RX model, £59,105 for the six-seat RX L and £57,855 for the seven-seat RX L.
2022 Lexus ES
The Lexus has recieved a few necessary updates, and now it is ready to compete well with the German mid-size luxury sedans like the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, and Mercedes-Benz E Class. The welcome additions are worth the $40,800 price tag, and it is still a bargain compared to some of the German competition.
2022 Lexus RXL Black Line
Lexus is growing its exclusive Black Line series with the new RXL Black Line for the 2022 model year. This new special and limited-run edition will be based on the RX 350L or RX 450L, with the former being limited to 389 examples and the latter being produced in just 106 examples. The main highlight is, arguably, the new Cloudburst Gray or the optional Eminent White Pearl, however, it’s the black accents outside that really tie the package together. The 20-inch black wheels are the most notable, however, the wheel lug nots, radiator grille, outer portion of the mirrors, badging, and lower front bumper are all finished in black. When paired with the standard Cloudburst Gray, the RXL looks downright menacing while the Eminent While Pearl exterior finish makes for an awesome two-tone contrast that really draws attention.
On the inside, there’s a decent helping of open-pore wood trim, while te Nu-Luxe seats are upholstered in black with blue contrast stitching. That same blue stitching also ties together the dash pad, shift boot, and steering wheel. Since the Black Line is a purely aesthetic package, the RXL 350 delivers 290 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque from a 3.5-liter V-6 while the hybrid model dishes out 308 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque from the same engine paired with an electric motor. Pricing for the RX 350L Black Line comes in at $52,030 while the RX 450 HL Black Line commands $55,290.
2022 Lexus NX
Lexus has come up with the next-gen 2022 NX crossover. The NX has been in the market for over three decades now and is still one of the most important products for the automaker. In fact, it is the second-best-selling Lexus model after the RX. For the 2022 model, the NX comes with an updated exterior and interior, and also a plug-in hybrid engine in a new top-of-the-line trim. The NX will arrive by the end of the year and could start at around $40,000.
2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition
Not too long ago, Lexus unveiled the 2022 IS 500 F Sport as the first vehicle in its ‘F Sport Performance Line’ Series. The car came with a V-8 engine under the hood that made close to 500 ponies and took under five seconds to sprint to 60 mph. A month post the reveal, the automaker has now unveiled the ‘Launch Edition’ of the hot car. It comes with the same V-8 mill and the changes pertain only to the exterior and interior.
2021 Lexus LS
The LS is Lexus. Or Lexus is LS. Whichever you want to put it. The luxury sedan debuted in 1989 and marked Lexus’ entrance on the U.S. market, but it also went on to become the company’s main pillar and foundation.
After more than 30 years, the Lexus LS is still doing battle against the German trifecta made of BMW’s 7 Series, Audi’s A8, and Mercedes-Benz’s S-Class. That’s why Lexus won’t compromise when it comes to its flagship sedan. Hence the updated 2021 LS we’re about to discuss.
2018 Lexus LX 570
First hitting the market in January of 1996, the Lexus LX nameplate has evolved through three separate generations over the years, with the latest J200 iteration arriving in 2007. Based heavily on the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Lexus LX is the premium Japanese brand’s take on full-size luxury SUV transport, comfortably seating up to eight passengers and offering a good deal of capability if road conditions are less than ideal. However, according to Lexus, “some customers indicated they did not use the third row and expressed a preference for more interior cargo space,” and as a result, the 2018 model year gets a bit of switch-up in the cabin. Introduced as the LX 570 at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, the third-row bench was tossed to accommodate more junk in the trunk, all while keeping the same capability and comfort found in the LX’s eight-seater counterparts.
Lexus says the LX 570 is aimed at “smaller families, empty nesters and multiple-vehicle households, [customers who] are more likely to travel with fewer passengers but more carry-on gear. Among the activities they enjoy are skiing, cycling, kayaking, and golf, along with such hobbies as nature photography and antique collecting. Some also wanted more versatility for carrying their dogs.” So – does the LX really work better with fewer seats and more cargo?

2020 Lexus LX 570 - Driven
From the company that invented the luxury crossover, the 2020 Lexus LX 570 is a decided throwback. This is a full-sized SUV that’s derived not from a car platform like you’d find in a Mercedes-Benz GLS or BMW X7, or even from the family-focused Toyota Sequoia.
Instead, it borrows its underpinnings from the Toyota Land Cruiser — one of the most capable SUVs you can buy. The LX 570 is no mere leather-lined cocoon, but also a boulder-climbing machine that employs a mix of electronic gizmos and burly suspension components to tackle challenging terrain.
2021 Lexus IS
The Lexus IS has been around for a very long time now, trying to fit itself as one of the cool guys that hangs out with the Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, and BMW 3 Series. But, not many people see it as a worthy alternative to any of the three Germans.
Lexus is trying to change that image for the better part of the last decade with some major upgrades, but it has failed to make a mark. Now, the company has launched the 2021 IS model with refreshed looks on the outside, but pretty much the same on the interior and under the hood. Will the IS be a real threat to its rivals this time?
2020 Lexus RX450hL - Driven
The Lexus RX invented the luxury crossover. It invented the luxury hybrid. And it’s consistently America’s best-selling luxury SUV. That’s why the current-generation RX’s shortcomings have been so surprising. It debuted in 2016 with polarizing styling, limited cargo space, no available third-row seat, cumbersome controls, and missing infotainment features.
At least based on the sales numbers, buyers registered no objections. They either embraced or accepted the RX for what it is, continuing to be drawn to its quiet ride, rich leather, and promise of headache-free reliability. But Lexus has steadily improved the vehicle since that 2016 debut. It added an extended-length three-row model for the 2018 model year, known as the RX L. Now, the 2020 RX features an upgraded infotainment system and tweaks to the styling and suspension.
2020 Lexus IS F Sport Blackline Edition
Eight months after dropping the 2019 Lexus IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition, Toyota’s premium brand is dipping its toes back in that pool with the arrival of the 2020 Lexus IS F Sport Black Line Edition.
In case you’re confused, Lexus is bringing two different Black Line Edition models to the market in the same calendar year. You can’t fault Lexus for being enterprising, especially if the 2019 IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition sold as well as we think it did. This time, the IS F Sport receives the Black Line Edition treatment, and in keeping with tradition, this new SE benefits from a host of exterior and interior upgrades to go along with its limited availability. Only 900 units of the 2020 Lexus IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition will be available in the U.S. market at a starting price of $46,225.
2020 Lexus NX300 Black Line Special Edition
The Lexus NX is one of the most aggressively designed crossovers in its segment. It’s also going on its sixth year in production. At some point, the NX’s dynamic design will wear off, and Lexus will need to do something fresh to inject some excitement back to the NX nameplate. Give credit to Lexus, then, because that’s exactly what it’s doing.
For the second time this year, Toyota’s premium car brand will roll out a Black Line Edition for the NX crossover. The new Black Line Edition is based on the NX300 trim of the popular crossover. It mostly features aesthetic and visual upgrades to the exterior and interior, including one specific highlight that brings all these details together in one impressive special edition design package. Only 2,000 units of the 2020 NX300 Black Line Edition will be built. Each model will carry a starting price of $45,735. That price tag could go up to $47,135 if you eschew the front-wheel drive version in favor of the all-wheel drive model.
2019 Lexus IS300 F Sport
We talk about the latest generation of trucks and their big mouths, or even new BMW products, for that matter. But, what about the brand that literally started the ’big grille is the shizz, bro’ thing? Yes, I’m talking about Lexus and their in-your-face designs. The brand makes some of the most refined cars in the market today and was also one of the earliest adopters of hybrid engines. But Lexus is slowly becoming a neologism for big grilles. Nevertheless, Toyota’s premium brand is going through a paradigm shift and is building cars that are fresh and fun to drive, and one of those cars is the Lexus IS300 F Sport.
The Lexus IS300 F Sport is indeed a wolf in a sheep’s clothing; well, sheep’s fancy clothing. On the onset, this compact sedan looks calm, and sedate - which it is. But once you go hard on the A-pedal, the IS300 F-Sport will unleash its power, and you will be surprised at how capable and efficient this car is. The sedan reeks of luxury and is well-loaded on the inside. However, is the sporty-luxury blend enough to take on the competition?
2019 Lexus ES 350 F Sport
Lexus’ new range of vehicles is on a new high altogether. The premium Japanese automaker is building cars that are fresh, exciting, and actually fun to drive. The latest present from its box of surprises is the 2019 Lexus ES350 F Sport. This car is breaking all the shackles for Lexus as a whole. The well-equipped sedan is engaging to drive, and the company’s move to work outside of its comfort zone has done wonders to this beauty. It feels nice to see some automakers still working on building magnificent machines in a segment that is dying a slow death.
Lexus needs to infuse its image with some extra sportiness because even though it does make good, credible sporty cars, it is still perceived as a brand addressed toward SUV loving soccer moms and your elderly aunt who decides to spend most of her life savings on a new luxury car to treat herself. One such vehicle could be a spiced up version of the UX crossover, the newest and smallest crossover to join the Lexus range.
If Lexus made a UX F, it would be the closest thing it could ever make to a hot hatch. The UX is already a low-to-the-ground vehicle with excellent cornering capability, so making it lower, harder, and more powerful in order to make it faster sounds like a good plan. Plus, it could also benefit from a sporty exterior makeover to go with its unusual, swooping shapes (which are not bad, just different and take a bit of getting used to).
If Lexus challenged some hot crossovers and hot hatchbacks with its spruced up UX F, then it could dramatically shift the perception of the brand and genuinely attract new types of buyers that, before this vehicle, may not ever have considered buying a Lexus.
