2022 Lexus LC Black Inspiration
Lexus is not at its first "Inspiration" special edition. In fact, it first launched a concept car called LC500 Inspiration Concept back in 2018, and the production version arrived just one year later.
Now, its’ time for a new "Inspiration" model, but this time is the "Black Inspiration." It will be offered for both the full hybrid electric LC 500h and the V8-powered LC 500 and will go on sale in the UK on November 1st.
2022 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition
Lexus firstly introduced the RC F Fuji Edition for the first time in 2021 and now, for the 2022 model year, it is making a comeback. In 2021, Lexus built only 60 units, and production will be even more exclusive for the 2022 model year: only 50 units will be built.
2022 Lexus RXL Black Line
Lexus is growing its exclusive Black Line series with the new RXL Black Line for the 2022 model year. This new special and limited-run edition will be based on the RX 350L or RX 450L, with the former being limited to 389 examples and the latter being produced in just 106 examples. The main highlight is, arguably, the new Cloudburst Gray or the optional Eminent White Pearl, however, it’s the black accents outside that really tie the package together. The 20-inch black wheels are the most notable, however, the wheel lug nots, radiator grille, outer portion of the mirrors, badging, and lower front bumper are all finished in black. When paired with the standard Cloudburst Gray, the RXL looks downright menacing while the Eminent While Pearl exterior finish makes for an awesome two-tone contrast that really draws attention.
On the inside, there’s a decent helping of open-pore wood trim, while te Nu-Luxe seats are upholstered in black with blue contrast stitching. That same blue stitching also ties together the dash pad, shift boot, and steering wheel. Since the Black Line is a purely aesthetic package, the RXL 350 delivers 290 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque from a 3.5-liter V-6 while the hybrid model dishes out 308 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque from the same engine paired with an electric motor. Pricing for the RX 350L Black Line comes in at $52,030 while the RX 450 HL Black Line commands $55,290.
2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition
Not too long ago, Lexus unveiled the 2022 IS 500 F Sport as the first vehicle in its ‘F Sport Performance Line’ Series. The car came with a V-8 engine under the hood that made close to 500 ponies and took under five seconds to sprint to 60 mph. A month post the reveal, the automaker has now unveiled the ‘Launch Edition’ of the hot car. It comes with the same V-8 mill and the changes pertain only to the exterior and interior.
The 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance Takes Aim At the BMW M3 and Audi RS5
Lexus has launched the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance model. It is the first model in the automaker’s new ‘F Sport Performance Line’ series. The biggest talking point is the 5.0-liter, V-8 engine under the hood. The IS moniker has been around for a long time now, but it’s still trying to find its feet as a worthy contender to the three Germans. Lexus has made a lot of mechanical enhancements to sell it as a sporty sedan, but only time will tell if a V-8 was all the IS needed to make a splash.
2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration
The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration is a special edition sports coupé that doesn’t give you much of a choice in terms of available colors. It’s only available in black, and it’s dripping in black from nose to tail. We didn’t know Lexus was capable of making the LC 500 look cooler than it already is, but here we are. The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration is the embodiment of stealthy aggression, and we’re all for it.
2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition
The Lexus RC F is one of the most fascinating two-door coupes on the market. It looks sharp, packs plenty of power, and it drives like a genuine sports car. Unfortunately, the RC F still lacks the verve that some of its German rivals possess. Lexus knows that there’s plenty of room for improvement with the RC F, and with the arrival of this new special edition model, we might see these improvements sooner than we thought. The model is called the Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition, and not only does it pay tribute to the iconic racetrack in the foothills of the world-famous mountain, but, more importantly, it comes with an array of special edition touches that provide that singular appeal that a lot of special edition models possess. Highlights include a distinctive look that’s bolstered by several technical improve Only 60 units of the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition will be made, and while Lexus has yet to release pricing details for the special edition sports car, don’t expect it to close lower than $70,000.
2021 Lexus LC Convertible Regatta Edition
Lexus is turning to the open seas as the inspiration behind its latest special edition model. Evoking the ambiance of a luxury marina — Lexus’ words, not mine — the Toyota-owned luxury brand is commemorating the opening of orders for the new LC Convertible by rolling out a special edition LC droptop called the Regatta Edition.
Dressed to impress, the LC Convertible Regatta Edition’s theme has roots to the origin story of the LC’s design, which Lexus described as being inspired by ocean-going yachts. It’s a saucy piece, for sure, but sadly, access to the LC Regatta Edition is going to be very difficult. Lexus didn’t say how many units of the LC Regatta Edition it plans to build, but allocations in the U.K. and Europe have completely dried up. No word yet on how many units are headed to America, or if they’re still available, to begin with.
2020 Lexus IS F Sport Blackline Edition
Eight months after dropping the 2019 Lexus IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition, Toyota’s premium brand is dipping its toes back in that pool with the arrival of the 2020 Lexus IS F Sport Black Line Edition.
In case you’re confused, Lexus is bringing two different Black Line Edition models to the market in the same calendar year. You can’t fault Lexus for being enterprising, especially if the 2019 IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition sold as well as we think it did. This time, the IS F Sport receives the Black Line Edition treatment, and in keeping with tradition, this new SE benefits from a host of exterior and interior upgrades to go along with its limited availability. Only 900 units of the 2020 Lexus IS F 300 Sport Black Line Edition will be available in the U.S. market at a starting price of $46,225.
2020 Lexus NX300 Black Line Special Edition
The Lexus NX is one of the most aggressively designed crossovers in its segment. It’s also going on its sixth year in production. At some point, the NX’s dynamic design will wear off, and Lexus will need to do something fresh to inject some excitement back to the NX nameplate. Give credit to Lexus, then, because that’s exactly what it’s doing.
For the second time this year, Toyota’s premium car brand will roll out a Black Line Edition for the NX crossover. The new Black Line Edition is based on the NX300 trim of the popular crossover. It mostly features aesthetic and visual upgrades to the exterior and interior, including one specific highlight that brings all these details together in one impressive special edition design package. Only 2,000 units of the 2020 NX300 Black Line Edition will be built. Each model will carry a starting price of $45,735. That price tag could go up to $47,135 if you eschew the front-wheel drive version in favor of the all-wheel drive model.
2019 Lexus NX F SPORT Black Line Edition
The compact luxury crossover segment is no cakewalk, with huge competition pouring in from just about every corner of the globe. However, Lexus looks as though it’s holding its own here thanks to the NX. Now, the L badge is polishing up a new limited edition of the five-door and calling it the F Sport Black Line, loading it up with all the trimmings for sharper styling and a nicer experience in the cabin.
2012 Lexus LF-A Nurburgring Package
The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package is the last hurrah of a truly special car, the first and, so far, only supercar built by Lexus. It is a lighter, more agile and, overall, faster version of the oh-so-loud LFA that dried up Toyota’s pockets only to be regarded at the time of its arrival as "too expensive for what it offers." Now, as the years have passed, more and more car guys and journalists started to come around and appreciate the Nurburgring-honed LFA for what it is, a very charismatic supercar.
Everyone knows about the LFA’s enormous development time that spanned almost a decade as Lexus switched from its original plans of building it around an aluminum monocoque and decided upon a carbon fiber structure that, in turn, called for updates to be made at the Motomachi plant that wasn’t ready to build a CFRP car. To this day, it’s unclear precisely how much Toyota actually spent to make the LFA a reality, but we reckon that the reason behind the secrecy lies in the obscenity of the sum.
As a swansong to the LFA, Akio Toyoda, Toyota’s CEO and one of the key people in the creation of this halo model, greenlighted a batch of 50 track-focused examples that came with the "Nurburgring Package." This package included changes to both the bodywork and the internals, changes that came about after years of testing and racing around Germany’s famed Nurburgring-Nordschleife circuit in the Eifel Mountains.
2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series
Lexus is bringing a special edition LX SUV at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. Dubbed the “Inspiration Series,” the limited-run LX offers exclusive touches on the exterior to go with a few upgrades in the interior of the SUV. There are no engine upgrades included in the package, though you probably wouldn’t know it based on how much Lexus is asking for the special edition SUV. The Lexus LX Inspiration Series costs a whopping $100,420, which is almost $15,000 more than the base LX that starts at $85,830.
