2022 Lexus LC Black Inspiration

An all-black look is what the LC needed to look amazing!

Lexus is not at its first "Inspiration" special edition. In fact, it first launched a concept car called LC500 Inspiration Concept back in 2018, and the production version arrived just one year later.

Now, its’ time for a new "Inspiration" model, but this time is the "Black Inspiration." It will be offered for both the full hybrid electric LC 500h and the V8-powered LC 500 and will go on sale in the UK on November 1st.

2022 Lexus IS 500 F SPORT Performance

2022 Lexus IS 500 F SPORT Performance

Getting bored of the same old German cars? The best of Lexus’ performance is here in the form of the IS 500 F Sport Performance

The IS family already has a 5.0-liter V-8 stuffed into the regular 500, which turned out to be a fire-breathing performer. But the missing F Sport Performance makes its way to the U.S. market and will sport the same V-8 engine but will be sportier, feature better luxury, and will be priced at $56,500 for the base trim.

The Lexus IS 500 Blends V-8 Power With Styling at Anti-German Prices

If the IS 500 is anywhere near as good as it sounds, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes could be in trouble

Can Lexus’ latest attempt at a sports sedan truly out-shine the stuffy Germans at BMW, Audi, and Mercedes? Quite possibly, but let’s just say this is not a case of "buy the Lexus because you cannot afford the BMW." This is about a V-8 Lexus Sedan than could create some headaches in a few German HQs.

A 9-Year Old Concept and the Toyota GR86 Could Lead To A New Lexus Sportscar

A 9-Year Old Concept and the Toyota GR86 Could Lead To A New Lexus Sportscar

Everyone has forgotten about the Lexus LF-CC Concept, and yet it could be the basis for a new Lexus sportscar

Lexus sits in a weird position within the automotive industry. It serves as Toyota’s luxury arm and yet it still offers a total of two coupes – something that’s a bit of a mystery considering SUVs are king and the coupe segment is slowly dying. I’m talking about, of course, the Lexus RC and the Lexus LC, the former of which can be had in RC F form with 472 horsepower, and the latter of which offers as much as 471 horsepower in its range-topping LC5 500 trim level. So, Lexus has, essentially, two performance coupes, and a new rumor hints that a third, more compact sports coupe could be on the way.

A Lexus IS-F With A Twin-Turbo V-8? It Could Be A Thing

A Lexus IS-F With A Twin-Turbo V-8? It Could Be A Thing

Mercedes and BMW could be in trouble if it happens

Even though the world is moving towards electrification and cleaner mobility, there is a surge in demand for V-8s lately and automakers are more than happy to tap into this emotional need of the consumers. This is perhaps one final hoorah before V-8s fade away into oblivion forever. Toyota, however, seemed to be heading away from eight-cylinder engines. Forget about building new ones, the company was rumored to even ditch its existing V-8s – case in point, Toyota Tundra. But, new developments have shown that Toyota might come up with a new V-8 after all.

GR86.org has reported that the Japanese automaker filed a patent for a twin-turbo engine that could go into the Lexus line of performance cars. Or, even the Toyota Tundra, for that matter.

Is The Lexus RC-F Track Edition Any Better Than The Mustang Mach-1?

Is The Lexus RC-F Track Edition Any Better Than The Mustang Mach-1?

The RC-F Track Edition is over $40,000 more expensive than the Mach-1, but features similar engine specs

Amidst all the buzz surrounding electrification, the guys at TheStraightPipes brought in two muscle cars for an epic V-8 showdown. Well, one of them is a true-blue American muscle, but the other is a Japanese. But, before we discount it, this car has managed to hold its fort in a segment ruled by the Mustang, the Challenger, and the Camaro. I’m talking about the Lexus RC-F.

The folks at the channel compared the Lexus RC-F Track Edition with the Mustang Mach-1 in various aspects. Which one do you think came out looking better?

The Lexus LFA Has Aged Like a Fine Wine

The Lexus LFA Has Aged Like a Fine Wine

We can all agree that the LFA still has it

Last time we heard about the LFA, there were seven of them sitting in Lexus dealerships across the U.S. looking for an owner. We are talking squeaky-new LFAs here, of which Lexus assembled just 500 units in total.

While it is hard to pinpoint why those cars are still there – some suggested promotional purposes but the LFA was introduced back in 2010 so it does not quite make sense, here is what potential buyers are missing out on by not getting those remaining LFAs.

Is This The Perfect Spec Lexus LFA?

Is This The Perfect Spec Lexus LFA?

The LFA comes with a V-10 naturally-aspirated engine and redlines at a super-impressive 9,400 rpm

The Lexus LFA arrived back in 2010 with specs that made it one of the strongest cars in the segment. The company built only 500 examples of the same and that would’ve made it a collector’s item in the future. You would expect it to sell like hotcakes, but surprisingly, 11 years later there are still a few copies that remain unsold.

This shouldn’t be a testament to the fact that the LFA is a hot sports car and deserves to be remembered as one of the best cars to have come from the Japanese automaker, and this video by Supercar Driver shows us exactly that.

A Twin-Turbo Lexus IS F Could Bring Some Pain To the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63

A Twin-Turbo Lexus IS F Could Bring Some Pain To the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63

We are probably looking at 500 horses and sub-four-second 0-60 mph time

Lexus recently launched its first V-8-powered sedan in almost a decade in the form of the IS 500 F Sport. It’s been just about a week since it was launched, but it looks like the automaker already has one more in the pipeline. According to Motoring, Lexus is working on a twin-turbo V-8 car that will take on the Mercedes-AMG C63 and the BMW M3. To make to deal sweeter, the automaker could resurrect the “IS F” moniker for it.

2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration

2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration

This is one Lexus that’s dripping in swag

The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration is a special edition sports coupé that doesn’t give you much of a choice in terms of available colors. It’s only available in black, and it’s dripping in black from nose to tail. We didn’t know Lexus was capable of making the LC 500 look cooler than it already is, but here we are. The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration is the embodiment of stealthy aggression, and we’re all for it.

There's No Way The Toyota Supra Can Beat The Lexus LC500 In a Drag Race, Right?

There’s No Way The Toyota Supra Can Beat The Lexus LC500 In a Drag Race, Right?

More power doesn’t always translate to faster on the road, or does it?

On paper, the Lexus LC500 and the Toyota Supra are two entirely different performance cars. One is a stylish and luxurious two-door grand tourer while the other is an outright performance-bred sports car that also serves as Toyota’s flagship performance car.

We’ve seen some odd pairings engage in drag races in the past — most recently, there was one between a Hennessy-tuned Chevrolet Corvette C8 and a Rolls-Royce Wraith — and this one follows along that path. Does the turbocharged Toyota have what it takes to beat the naturally aspirated V-8-powered Lexus? YouTube channel Throttle House tried to find out, and the results, well, will surprise you.

2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition

2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition

Another wonderful special edition courtesy of Lexus

The Lexus RC F is one of the most fascinating two-door coupes on the market. It looks sharp, packs plenty of power, and it drives like a genuine sports car. Unfortunately, the RC F still lacks the verve that some of its German rivals possess. Lexus knows that there’s plenty of room for improvement with the RC F, and with the arrival of this new special edition model, we might see these improvements sooner than we thought. The model is called the Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition, and not only does it pay tribute to the iconic racetrack in the foothills of the world-famous mountain, but, more importantly, it comes with an array of special edition touches that provide that singular appeal that a lot of special edition models possess. Highlights include a distinctive look that’s bolstered by several technical improve Only 60 units of the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition will be made, and while Lexus has yet to release pricing details for the special edition sports car, don’t expect it to close lower than $70,000.

2021 Lexus LC Convertible Regatta Edition

2021 Lexus LC Convertible Regatta Edition

Special edition LC Convertible goes back to its design inspiration roots

Lexus is turning to the open seas as the inspiration behind its latest special edition model. Evoking the ambiance of a luxury marina — Lexus’ words, not mine — the Toyota-owned luxury brand is commemorating the opening of orders for the new LC Convertible by rolling out a special edition LC droptop called the Regatta Edition.

Dressed to impress, the LC Convertible Regatta Edition’s theme has roots to the origin story of the LC’s design, which Lexus described as being inspired by ocean-going yachts. It’s a saucy piece, for sure, but sadly, access to the LC Regatta Edition is going to be very difficult. Lexus didn’t say how many units of the LC Regatta Edition it plans to build, but allocations in the U.K. and Europe have completely dried up. No word yet on how many units are headed to America, or if they’re still available, to begin with.

A Slurry of TRD Parts Is Coming For the Lexus LC Coupe

New TRD gear makes the Lexus LC sportier

TRD, short for Toyota Racing Division, has been providing performance parts for Toyota vehicles for more than a decade now.
