2021 Lincoln Anniversary Concept

A concept car that shows how Lincoln vehicles will look in 2040

Lincoln had teamed up with ArtCenter earlier this year and announced it will invite students to create four concepts. These concepts would be on a humane level, showing stories about people. One such concept called “Anniversary” was showcased by Lincoln at the 2021 Monterey Car Week.

The ‘Anniversary” is a four-seater vehicle perceived how Lincoln vehicles would be in 2040 and beyond. The concept talks about a couple – Julianne and Greg – celebrating their 30th anniversary. They drive around visiting their favorite spots and the images from their past run on the wide-screen on the dash. Now, this will certainly not make it to production, but it gives an idea of how things could be in the future and how you will be able to “take a trip down the memory lane” literally.

About the author

As part of Monterey Car Week, one of the four concepts from the Lincoln and ArtCenter College of Design challenge – “Anniversary” – will be displayed at The Quail Motorsports Gathering.

A futuristic, four-passenger Lincoln vehicle, “Anniversary” leverages its digital technology to enable its passengers to connect the present and the past, fitting the challenge of imagining Lincoln vehicles of 2040 and beyond, as well as the world in which they would live.

“The storyboarding presented by these students was beyond impressive, showcasing their rich design talent and creative approach to storytelling,” said Kemal Curic, global director, Lincoln. “This is precisely why we decided to create a full-sized replica of one of the projects, highlight the amazing talent in tomorrow’s designers and their unique perspective of our Lincoln Quiet Flight brand DNA.”
