2019 Lincoln Black Label Navigator
Redesigned for the 2018 model year, the Lincoln Navigator finally has what it takes to compete against the current Cadillac Escalade. It also comes in a long-wheelbase version and with the company’s recently introduced, more luxurious Black Label package. The latter has become so appealing that even TV celebrity and car collector Jay Leno ordered one. However, Leno requested some aftermarket extras and showcased the SUV at the 2018 SEMA Show.
Although it’s pretty much a stock Black Label model, it stands out thanks to its unique paint, wheels, and customized interior. Although it was conceived by the Lincoln Design Studio, this Navigator was actually customized by Van Nuys and Galpin Motors & Auto Sports. The Black Label Navigator will join the 1966 Lincoln Continental the Jay Leno purchased earlier in 2018.
1949 Lincoln Mercury Coupe EV by ICON
We see a lot of restomods where people or companies thump new engines into classic cars. But how about putting an electric powertrain into a vintage car? This is not a new concept; in fact, there are quite a few companies who have been working on this for quite some time now. The conversion companies were in a large number even in the last century, and a perfect testament for this would be the formation of the Electric Auto Association back in 1967. However, this takes a lot of skill, money, and precise execution. One such classic car fanatic company, which has done many conversions in the past, is ICON; and this time, the company has turned a 1949 Mercury Coupe into an EV.
Yesterday we announced that there will be three customized Ford Explorers coming to the SEMA Show in November. Now it seems that the SUVs will be joined by a customized 2011 Lincoln MKX that will be displaying its dark side for all to see.
Not much was said concerning the details of this tuning project, but we do know that the model will carry Brembo brakes, a set of rims from HRE Wheels, Falken tires, an Alpine electronics system, and a discrete body kit. Both Ford and ID Agency have stated that this vehicle was a combination of fashion and function. The ID Agency further stated that the Lincoln MKX was designed with the modern man in mind and that the Urban Assault Vehicle was built to fit into his active lifestyle.
Okay, enough of that mumbo jumbo. Can we get some real details or will we seriously have to wait until the SEMA Show opens it’s doors and Ford lets loose the official ones?

Lincoln wants to change its image and go after younger buyers. One way its showing how aggressive it wants a youth market is by encouraging customization of its new cars like the 2009 Lincoln MKS. No better place to show this off than SEMA, where three versions will show up modified by 3dCarbon, Godfather Customs and RKSport.
The 3dCarbon MKS comes with 22-inch NC Forged aluminum wheels and a five-piece custom body kit. Godfather added three video screens provide back seat drivers with their own access to entertainment and navigation. Outside it added signature 22-inch wheels and tires. RKSport went for a design kit that it believes will give the MKS a more "European" look.
