The 2020 Lotus Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary Edition is a special-edition version of the company's already iconic Exige sports coupe. Developed to celebrate 20 years since the Exige was introduced, the 20th Anniversary Edition is based on the Sport 410, one of the most powerful iterations of the third-generation Exige. The package includes extra features inspired by the original Exige and extra standard features, but the drivetrain remains unchanged. Let's find out more about it in the review below.

What makes the 2020 Lotus Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary Edition special?

- Unique retro-inspired colors - Body-colored parts - Extra carbon-fiber - Special silhouette logos - Silhouette insets inside the cabin - Extra standard features - Optional carbon-fiber door sills - Standard adjustable dampers - Optional titanium exhaust - Standard Exige Sport 410 engine - 410 horsepower - 310 pound-feet of torque - 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds

The two cars share most design features, so the Sport 410 is already an exciting model with enhanced aerodynamics, a big rear wing, and some carbon-fiber body elements. The 20th Anniversary package adds a few extras, like the carbon-fiber front splitter, front access panel, and rear tailgate, which are optional on the Sport 410. The lightweight forged alloy wheels, also optional on the normal car, come standard on this model.

While the overall layout remains the same, the 20th Anniversary was altered to look a bit like the original Exige from the year 2000. The similarities come from a handful of body-colored parts, such as the roof, the side air intake pods, and rear wing. It also features black shark fin stone chip protectors ahead of the rear wheels. To make a stronger connection to the primordial Exige, Lotus also added black silhouette logos of the Series 1 model on the front wings and the rear bumper.

The car is available in six exterior finishes, three of which are retro-inspired colors from the Series 1 model. These are called Chrome Orange, Laser Blue, and Calypso Red. If you like colors that don't scream for attention, you can go with the available Motorsport Black and Arctic Silver. Finally, there Saffron Yellow, reminiscent of the original Norfolk Mustard Yellow.

Move inside the cabin, and you'll find seats decorated paneled stitching similar to the original Exige, as well as colored Alcantara trim options. The black silhouette logos seen on the outside are embroidered on the seatbacks and embossed on the car's dashboard build plaque. Other than that, you get a few extras as standard, including DAB digital radio with Bluetooth, cruise control, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. The carbon-fiber door sills remain optional.

These will enable you to customize the suspension using the variable settings and prepare the Exige for either road or track use. Lotus also offers an optional titanium exhaust and lithium-ion battery, both of which reduce the car's curb weight.

As far as performance goes, the supercharged, 3.5-liter V-6 engine cranks out 410 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This puts the 20th Anniversary Edition below the Exige Cup 430, which is rated at 430 horsepower, but it's still impressively fast. Because it tips the scales at only 2,324 pounds, the Exige Sport 410 needs only 3.3 seconds to hit 60 mph. Its top speed is rated at whopping 180 mph.

Pricing for the Lotus Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary starts from £79,900 (around $100,000 as of June 2020), which converts to £5,412 (about $6,780) worth of extras over the standard Sport 410. Sadly, the Exige is not available in the United States, so this model won't cross the pond either.
