What if there was a Suzuki Jimny 4x4² ?

What if there was a Suzuki Jimny 4x4² ?

A Jimny with improved looks and off-road capability

There are plenty of manufacturers these days that milk all their models as much as possible by offering them in different flavors and variations. Mercedes is a great example here, as the Three-Pointed Star created the G-Class 4x4², a low volume exclusive model that caused a huge stir when it was first unveiled (initially as a 6x6 pickup). So, what would it be like if Suzuki did the same thing with the Jimny? Well, I took to Photoshop to find out....

Old school-inspired looks, new school everything else

Retro styling done right in the automotive world can result in a car that buyers instantly feel drawn to because they remember the original from their childhood. Granted, if done wrong, it can look really hideous and out of place, but you won’t find any of those here.

When mainstream manufacturers do it, they spend a lot of time and money to get it just right, and it really shows. Many of these retro-styled cars are bought first and foremost for the way they look, but they are actually just good cars overall. The Jimny has been the talk of the town for as long as we can remember. Liberty Walk has a Body Kit for the Mercedes G-Class and the Suzuki Jimny at the Same Time

Liberty Walk has a Body Kit for the Mercedes G-Class and the Suzuki Jimny at the Same Time

Both Kits Look Much The Same, But Are Differently Sized

Suzuki hit the jackpot with the overachieving Jumny when the lastest generation made its debut. Everybody adores it. It is a car that you could proudly drive to a car meet, and people would gather around to witness the awesomeness of a raw, off-road ready, tiny machine from Japan. Liberty Walk saw an opportunity with the Suzuki Jimny, and they released a new body-kit. Yup, a Liberty Walk body-kit for the new Suzuki Jimny. We live in an awesome time.

You know what? The body kit is much the same as what one could order for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It looks similar. It is not sized as such, of course, but it’s strikingly similar. As I noted in my first review about the Jimny, this one is much like a baby G-Class.

As Liberty Walk gearheads obviously live deep within car stardom, they revealed two similar kits for two similarly awesome cars that are dramatically different in size. This is actually the first time that Liberty Walk devised a body kit for a truck - one for the G-Class, and the other for the Jimny.

The baby off-roader is ready to rock our world

The fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny has arrived, and as usual with the small off-roader, it’s packing plenty of might and muscle in such a small frame. The baby off-road machine gets plenty of new features, a lot of which have been thrown in to get fans of the model new reasons to get excited about what it has to offer. And it has a lot to offer. It may not be as powerful as other off-roaders in the market, but there’s something to be said for a Suzuki that has lasted this long and has gained somewhat of a cult following of its own. The fourth-gen Jimny is here, and it couldn’t have arrived soon enough.

Time to fall in love with the new and adorable off-road-ready Suzuki Jimny

Most Americans miss out on some really interesting things. Fine, missing out on Kinder eggs is one thing, but missing out on some amazing cars is where we should draw the line.

Take for example the Suzuki Jimny - a pocket-size off-roader capable of treading where only a few would dare. After three generations and more than 2.25 million units sold since 1970, Suzuki finally revealed the first official photos of the fourth generation Jimny.

And, that only happened after some customers captured photos of the new Jimny at a Suzuki private event and published them online. An official live presentation is scheduled for the 2018 Paris Motor Show in October.

All-new Jimny to hit the market in 2019:

Is it going to be any different from the earlier iterations?

Jimny is not a new name in the automotive industry. 2013 Suzuki X-Lander

2013 Suzuki X-Lander

Here in the U.S., we are getting ready for the 2013 SEMA show and the Los Angeles Auto Show, on the opposite side of the world in Japan, folks are getting ready for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, which takes place from November 23rd to December 1st, 2013.

It looks like Suzuki one automaker that is taking this show very seriously, as it will unveil four brand-new concept cars and several motorcycles. All of the concepts are part of the company’s new "“Let’s Create a Brand New Story" theme, and are based on the "Small Cars for a Big Future" slogan.

The first concept — called the X-Lander — is based on the small Suzuki Jimny, and it looks more like a toy rather than a real car. The concept was designed as a four-wheel-drive hybrid vehicle, so it is ideal for crowded cities or hard off-road driving.
