The Mazda5 isn’t really the kind of vehicle that you’d associate running around the Laguna Seca Raceway so we were a little bit curious to her of one being made for that specific purpose - and be displayed at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show. So consider us surprised to see the beloved minivan get a full-on racing treatment courtesy of Mazda Design.

The first thing that caught our eye about this piece of work of a Mazda5 is the custom graphics on its side that features a map of the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (MRLS) racing circuit complete with notes and descriptions of the locations of the bathrooms. The custom minivan also received an MRLS logo on the front doors, a striking orange line along the side skirts, lowering springs with height-adjustable perches, and a set of 19" Mazda RX-8 R3-spec forged aluminum wheels, complete with MRLS logo orange dots.

For a vehicle that seems to be as out of place on a race track as a heavyset bouncer is watching the new Twilight movie, the Mazda5 MLRS Support Vehicle does have some endearing and impressive qualities.

This support vehicle has a lot of elaborated things on its exterior to make it noticeable.

They sure have made it attention-grabbing by putting lots of garnishes on its exterior, no?

This was certainly eye-catching because of the eccentric but innovative design on its exterior.

It’s too good for a minivan. The custom graphics have added effects to its artistic design, and the color orange highlight, which can be found below, gives it a favorable look.

I think the wheels are smaller for this vehicle. It seems disproportional. It would look good if they use a lighter shade in the wheels.

Is it a minivan? Hahaha it looks more a race car for me because of its graphic car. If ever, this is the first race car that had a bathroom feature, and that was really so cool! smiley

This minivan is truly very attractive on its aesthetic design. Well, the fact that it is a Mazda vehicle, I am expecting it already to be such an awesome car, but I hope that this time they would already boost the engine of it.

I love the body paint that they use on it. It only gives the classy appearance on this Mazda5, but anyway, I hope that it can still offer a comfortable interior.

The bathroom that they were talking about is absolutely very confusing, I wonder if where they put that inside? Anyway, the orange line along the side skirt of this Mazda5 is looks so striking on it.

I hope they also include some interior pictures of this new model of them. Anyway, I’m as well curious on its bathrooms? I hope I can see this one soon in person, and I can say that it is no doubt that it had an impressive quality.

I think it is much better if it doesn’t have that design on its body. Anyway, I can still say that it is kind of looking great on it. Furthermore, I am curious on its bathrooms, is it really have that feature?
