The 2020 McLaren 720S Le Mans is a limited-edition version of the company's mid-range supercar. It was created to celebrate 25 years since McLaren won the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the F1 GTR. We could say that the 720S Le Mans is some sort of spiritual successor to the 650S Le Mans, which was launched in 2015 to celebrate 20 years since the company's win on Circuit de la Sarthe. Limited to only 50 units, the 2020 720S Le Mans comes with unique features inside and out, and it's powered by the same V-8 engine as the standard model.

What makes the 2020 McLaren 720S Le Mans special

- Sportier appearance - Only two colors available - Two-tone finish - Roof scoop - Louvered front fenders - Bespoke wheels - Anniversary badges - Alcantara interior - Unique VIN plate - standard 720S engine - Only 50 made

The first thing that catches the eye is the two-tone finish of the carbon-fiber body. This color is a tribute to Le Mans-winning F1 GTR, which featured a similar color on the lower body panels, and its main sponsor was Tokyo Ueno Clinic.

The package also includes a roof scoop with polycarbonate rear glazing and carbon-fiber louvers atop the front fenders. The wheels are unique as well and feature a five-spoke LM design based on the McLaren F1 GTR race car from 1995. The brake calipers are finished in gold as standard. The exterior is rounded off by "McLaren 25 Anniversary Le Mans" logos on the lower rear fenders.

Of course, some of these upgrades are just about the looks. The roof scoop is fully functional, and channels air under the rear hood to provide additional cooling for the engine. The louvered front fenders reduce aerodynamic lift.

Inside the cabin, you'll find a bespoke black Alcantara upholstery with accents in either McLaren Orange or Dove Grey. There are carbon-fiber racing seats fitted as standard and a steering wheel market at the 12 o'clock position that matches the color accents of the upholstery. Both the seat headrests and the floor mats feature the "McLaren 12 Anniversary Le Mans" logo. Finally, there's a plate featuring a "McLaren 25 Anniversary Le Mans" logo and the car's unique VIN number. Each VIN starts with 298, in recognition of the number of laps completed by the McLaren F1 GTR that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1995.

You can customize the Le Mans model even further with every option available with the regular 720S.

Under the hood, the Le Mans is a standard 720S. It features the same twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 engine rated at 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The supercar needs only 2.8 seconds to hit 60 mph from a standing start and reaches a top speed of 212 mph.

Production of the 2020 McLaren 720S Le Mans is limited to only 50 units, with only 16 of them to be sold in Europe. Pricing starts from £254,500 in the United Kingdom, which is a significant £36,000 premium over the regular 720S.
