The N-Largo tuning program from Novitec has reached its fair share of speed demons, especially of the Lamborghini and McLaren ilk. In fact, it was only last year when the 720S Coupé was submitted to the treatment.

Well, it looks like the German tuner isn’t showing signs of cutting down on that practice, because its latest concoction is a wide-body Macca 720S Spider that wears the said N-Largo attire. And it looks a lot like the convertible Senna we’re never going to get, which ultimately shouldn’t raise many eyebrows as the Senna is largely based on the 720S in the first place. Let’s check it out.

For starters, just 15 such kits are coming out of Novitec’s goody bag. We wouldn’t be surprised if they sold like hotcakes, so the N-Largo remains a quite exclusive affair. Most of the magic, however, happened in the front, in the rear, and inside of the car.

Novitec N-Largo McLaren 720S Spider - Performance Upgrades

Let’s have desert first, then. The Macca’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 normally cranks out 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet (770 Newton-meters) of twist. Novitec disagreed with the factory output, so it retuned the engine via a plug&play control unit backed up by a tweaked exhaust setup to extract 794 horsepower and 648 pound-feet (878 Newton-meters) of torque, adding 84 horsepower and 80 pound-feet (108 Newton-meters) to the Spider’s armory.

The changes are noticeable in the 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 kilometers per hour) sprint which drops from 2.9 seconds to 2.7 seconds. In addition, 0-124 miles per hour (0-200 kilometers per hour) burns quickly too, in 7.5 seconds instead of 7.8 seconds, while top speed takes a short hike from 212 miles per hour (341 kilometers per hour) to 215 miles per hour (346 kilometers per hour).

The N-Largo kit doesn’t only alter the Spider’s looks, but it also changes the open-top’s dimensions. More precisely, with the new aero pack on, the 720S Spider is 60 millimeters (2.3 inches) wider in the front and 130 millimeters wider (5.1 inches) in the rear. It’s also lowered by 35 millimeters (1.4 inches) thanks to a set of performance springs.

The new body kit is also designed to accommodate the large Vossen MC2 forged wheels, measuring 21 inches in the rear and 20 inches in the front. A set of Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires makes sure power goes where it has to, when it has to.

Novitec N-Largo McLaren 720S Spider Pricing

Novitec has yet to announce pricing for this rather sizable upgrade to the McLaren 720S Spider. But, with an MSRP of $315,000, you can probably expect to pay at least $15,000 - $20,000 extra when you pick it up from Novitec.
