2019 McLaren 600LT in Stealth Grey by MSO
McLaren’s most aggressive Sports Series model yet, the 600LT, joined the company’s exclusive line of MSO cars with the Stealth Grey edition. Equipped with features from both the MSO Defined and MSO Bespoke catalogs, it made its debut on the Concept Lawn of the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This is the first 600LT with MSO treatment, but definitely not the last of its kind to hit the streets with bespoke features inside and out. It’s safe to say that most 600LTs — production is "strictly limited," but an actual figure is not available yet — will be ordered with MSO upgrades. 2017 McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept
Launched in 2015, the Sports Series is McLaren’s newest family of performance cars. Slotted below the Super Series, which includes nameplates like the 650S, 675LT, and 688HS, the Sports Series currently consists of three road-going models and a race car as of August 2016, all powered by the award-winning 3.8-liter V-8 engine. The lineup’s most recent version is the 570GT, a less track-focused variant of the 570S with a more luxurious cabin, enhanced luggage room, softer suspension setting, and improved sound insulation.
Much like any other modern McLaren, the 570GT is also set to spawn one-off and limited-edition models modified by McLaren’s customizing division, MSO, The British company previewed the 570GT by MSO at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, giving customers a closer peak at the special features the brand is readying for the nameplate.
"This is the second consecutive year that McLaren Special Operations has used the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to demonstrate our capabilities on Sports Series cars," said Paul Mackenzie, executive director of MSO. "This year, closely following the reveal of the GT addition to the Sports Series family, we showcase the breadth of McLaren Special Operations personalization work, this time focusing on bespoke engineering design and components. With its Electro Chromic Roof especially, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept would be well suited to the needs and demands of customers in sunnier and warmer climates."
There’s no specific word as to when the production car will arrive, but we expect it to hit the streets by the end of the year.

Introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the McLaren 650S took center stage as a replacement for the aging, yet still enticing, MP4-12C. Available in both coupe and roadster guises, the sports car rolled off the assembly line with the proven, twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-8 behind its seats. Motivated by no less than 640 horses and 500 pound-feet of twist, the 650S quickly became the fastest vehicle in its segment, outgunning sports cars wearing both Ferrari and Lamborghini badges. Coming into 2015, the Brits are knighting the 650S a full-time race car by means of a GT3 iteration for the Blancplain Endurance Series and a Sprint racer. Essentially a successor to the 12C GT Sprint, the 650S Sprint is also a track-only model.
The race-ready sports car comes to bridge the gap between the road-going 650S and the endurance-spec GT3 by appealing to amateur motorsport enthusiasts that spend their weekends at the track. Blending technology from both, the 650S Sprint offers the plain looks of the street-legal car spiced up by racing upgrades and a FIA-approved interior. Updated 09/17/2014: The new McLaren 650S Sprint will make its global competitive premiere this weekend at the penultimate round of the GT Cup race at Donington Park, UK. It will be driven by McLaren GT factory driver Rob Bell, joined by German-based journalist Dale Lomas.

McLaren Special Operations, McLaren’s bespoke division, was first launched at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2011. Since that time, MSO has been responsible for a handful of unique creations, including the 12C Concept Car that we first saw in December 2013 and the 650S Coupe Concept that was unveiled in April 2014. For the 2014 Pebble Beach show, McLaren is returning to the scene of the MSO’s debut with two new customized projects, this time for the almighty P1 and the 650S Spider.
The former, in particular, was commissioned by a North American customer and it further reinforces MSO’s billing as McLaren’s full personalization service for its owners. MSO’s work on the P1 is completely stunning. Actually, "stunning" might not even be a clear representation of the work MSO put into turning this P1 into a true one-of-a-kind showpiece model.
There are rare moments in life when you just sit back and admire someone else’s work, and The MSO P1 is one of those moments. I’d love to wax poetic about it, but even the sincerest form of hyperbole probably won’t do justice to the work McLaren’s MSO division put into this P1.

With the McLaren 650S MSO having already been showcased at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it was only a matter of time before McLaren Special Operations rolled out a bespoke program for 650S Spider. The recipe is pretty much the same: unique but subtle styling upgrades, special paints designed by MSO, brand-new wheels, and a custom interior. If you thought the 650S was an exclusive machine, McLaren Special Operations is here to prove you were wrong.
Just like the P1, the 650S can be tailored to meet different tastes and showcase the uniqueness many McLaren customers enjoy. The 650S Spider joins these exclusive MSO ranks in a limited edition release of just 50 examples. Make no mistake though, what you see here is only one of the 50 vehicles set to reach their future owners. Each of them will be unique in their own right. It’s a privilege reserved only to MSO-crafted McLarens, and the 650S Spider fully deserves such treatment.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) was introduced to the public last year, as the customization arm for the famed supercar builder. Think of it like Mercedes’ AMG without the performance parts. We haven’t heard too much from this arm in the last year, but that is because they have obviously been extremely busy.
“Busy doing what,” you may ask. Well, they were busy taking an MP4-12C and turning it into a one-off machine like no other to ever roam the streets. This new monster is the brain child of one lucky McLaren client and McLaren designer, Hong Yeo.
The client actually came to McLaren three years ago looking for a car that was more unique than the McLaren F1 and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren that he had already owned. The X1, which MLaren has just unveiled at "The Quail: A Motorsport Gathering," is based on the MP4-12C and was imagined as a timeless car with inspiration from multiple items, including: 1961 Facel Vega, a 1953 Chrysler D’Elegance Ghia, a 1959 Buick Electra, a 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K, a 1971 Citroën SM, the Guggenheim museums in New York and Bilbao, a Jaeger LeCoultre art deco clock, an Airstream trailer, a Thomas Mann Montblanc pen, a grand piano, and an eggplant
That’s a huge list of inspirations, but when you look at the X-1, you can actually visualize where each piece may have gained its inspiration. Well, except for whichever piece was inspired by the Jaeger LeCoultre art deco clock and the Thomas Mann Montblanc pen, as we have no clue which clock or pen inspired it.

The British automaker has released a one-off, race concept that will blow your socks off. The car is called the 12C Can-Am Edition and is based on the MP4-12C GT3 race car. The only difference is that the 12C Can-Am Edition is far and away more powerful than its GT3 cousin.
Set to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance organized in California, the 12C Can-Am Edition is what happens when you have an automaker as devoted to the meticulous and obsessive pursuit of performance like McLaren put their thinking hats and build a car that’s just way too cool for words.
It’s been dressed in the company’s now iconic McLaren Orange paint scheme, further adding a touch of Woking to its overall appeal. Add that to a boat load of aerodynamic modifications combined with enhanced performance capabilities and it’s easy to surmise exactly why McLaren is taking pride in this one-off race concept.
