2019 McLaren Special Operations 720S Stealth Theme
The McLaren 720S Stealth Theme is a shadowy tribute to the only McLaren that has ever conquered the Le Mans 24 Hours race, the F1 GTR. It is built by McLaren Special Operations on request from the McLaren dealer in London and, underneath the skin, it hides all the goodies of a 720S Performance.
Launched only last year, the 720S came as the replacement of the popular 650S model. It features heavily revised aerodynamics, a luscious body sculpted with speed in mind, and a brand-new, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine that is 41-percent new compared to the old 3.8-liter unit.
The 720S Stealth Theme commemorates McLaren’s overall victory at Le Mans 23 years ago when a GT1-spec F1 GTR blitzed the whole of the prototype field to win the race, a genuine first for a production-based car as Porsche’s previous victory with a GT car, in 1979, was achieved with a silhouette-style 935 that only shared the roof and the windows with the street-legal 911.
2019 McLaren Speedtail
The McLaren Speedtail is the latest iteration of the Ultimate Series. Although it follows the Senna, it actually replaced the P1, the spiritual successor of the F1. But unlike the P1, the Speedtail features a three-seat layout with a center-mounted drivers seat, just like the F1. Powered by a hybrid drivetrain, it’s the fastest, most powerful, and most aerodynamic McLaren built to date!
Dubbed a Hyper-GT and previously referred to as the BP23, the Speedtail is somewhat of a new concept from McLaren. While it has the output of a hypercar, it looks more like a super-streamline vehicle than a race-inspired supercar and sports a luxurious interior packed with innovative materials. Arguably the coolest thing about it is the central driving seat, a feature borrowed from the iconic F1. It’s the ultimate McLaren road car!

2018 McLaren F1 GTR ‘25R’ Restoration
McLaren Special Operations may be known for building exclusive one-off creations, but it’s now expanding its workload with the launch of a new certification program for the British automaker’s most iconic model, the F1. Part of the new program’s objectives is to authenticate the history and specification of a specific McLaren F1. Coinciding with the launch of the program is the first McLaren F1 to get fully certified: the 1997 F1 GTR Longtail “25R.”
2019 McLaren Senna
A successful race car builder from the 1960s to the 1980s, McLaren began making a name for itself as a road car manufacturer in the early 1990s with the F1. Launched with many benchmarks, including the first carbon-fiber construction, the F1 became one of the most iconic supercars ever made. It was so great that it took McLaren 15 years to gives us a predecessor, the P1, introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Four years have passed, and the McLaren Ultimate Series is entering a new era with a brand-new supercar. Codenamed the P15 and in the rumor mill for a couple of years now, the McLaren Senna was unveiled on December 9, 2017, as the company’s ultimate road-legal race car.
A unique design that brings together styling cues from the P1, 720S, and new aerodynamic features, the Senna bears the name of F1 driver Ayrton Senna, who drove McLaren Formula One cars for six years, from 1988 to 1993.
While the Senna’s aggressive design and aerodynamics aren’t surprising, the fact that it’s not a hybrid comes as a bit of shock. With its predecessor sporting an electric motor, the new Ultimate Series was expected to have a similar layout. The same goes for the interior, which has a standard left-hand-drive configuration, despite prototypes that have a mid-mounted driver’s seat, like the old F1. But this doesn’t make the Senna a less spectacular supercar. On the contrary!

2019 McLaren 600LT in Stealth Grey by MSO
McLaren’s most aggressive Sports Series model yet, the 600LT, joined the company’s exclusive line of MSO cars with the Stealth Grey edition. Equipped with features from both the MSO Defined and MSO Bespoke catalogs, it made its debut on the Concept Lawn of the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This is the first 600LT with MSO treatment, but definitely not the last of its kind to hit the streets with bespoke features inside and out. It’s safe to say that most 600LTs — production is "strictly limited," but an actual figure is not available yet — will be ordered with MSO upgrades. 2018 McLaren 720S by Novitec
Novitec for McLaren has introduced a new tuning program for the McLaren 720S, one that’s focused on refining the supercar’s appearance while also injecting it with a shot of extra power. The German tuner’s kit for the British supercar includes a steady diet of Need-for-Speed style aerodynamic components, a choice of new wheels, and power upgrade options that could turn the 720S into a fire-breathing, 794-horsepower monster on four wheels.
2018 McLaren 720S Track Theme
McLaren’s MSO division is responsible for some of the most mouth-watering creations we’ve seen in recent memory, and it looks like MSO isn’t done, judging, at least, by a pair of new special-edition models, one of which is called the 720S Track Theme. In keeping with MSO’s tradition of going all-out with its projects, the 720S Track Theme gets a smorgasbord of new features and options, all of which have been added to add an extra touch of exclusivity on what is already an exclusive supercar.
2018 McLaren 720S Pacific Theme
Unveiled in 2017 as a replacement for the 650S, the McLaren 720S has already brought its aggressive design, luxurious interior, and beefed-up V-8 engine into showrooms. As it usually happens, McLaren began showcasing various custom models made by the MSO division, starting with the Velocity Theme unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Come August 2018, and the Brits launched two mode special editions, one of which is the Pacific Theme.
Commissioned by McLaren Special Operations for McLaren Glasgow from Scotland, the Pacific Theme was created alongside Track Theme, a second supercar that will go the company’s dealership in Manchester. Much like all MSO-created McLaren’s, Pacific Theme boasts unique color and trim with a focus on the 720S’s "sophisticated technical luxury." Let’s find out what sets it apart in the review below.

Those Mysterious McLaren Models Aren’t What They Seem
A post on McLaren’s official Instagram account caused quite the stir on social media after an image of a raw version of the team’s Formula One race car unintentionally showed a couple of mysterious-looking cars in the background. The immediate reaction from Internet sleuths identified either one of the two models as the upcoming Speedtail, but that speculation has since been debunked by McLaren. Neither of those two models is the Speedtail, or at least that’s what the British automaker is saying.
2019 McLaren 600LT
Launched in 2015 as the company’s most affordable offering, the McLaren Sports Series grew to include several models beyond the initial 570S and 540C. On top of the Spider version, McLaren also launched the less track-focused 570GT and a couple of race-spec models, the 570S GT4 and Sprint. Come 2018, and the Brits are adding yet another version, this time around inspired by the already iconic 675LT. Meet the 600LT, the track-prepped car that brings Longtail heritage to the Sports Series lineup.
Set to make its dynamic debut at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, the 600LT follows in the footsteps of the already iconic F1 Longtail and 675LT. It’s lighter, more aggressive; it benefits from new aerodynamics, as well as a more powerful engine. It’s the most powerful and most track-focused Sports Series model, and it’s here to take on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS!

2018 McLaren 675LT MSO Gulf Racing Edition
The McLaren 675LT MSO Gulf Racing Edition is a one-off creation that was designed to pay homage to the F1 GTR cars of the 1990s; with a recreation of the Gulf Racing colors that were worn by the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail race car. There aren’t any serious performance upgrades, but MSO gave this 675LT the full interior and exterior treatment.
2018 McLaren 570GT MSO Black Collection
First unveiled at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the McLaren 570S hit the segment as a more accessible, daily-driver-friendly way to get into the McLaren lifestyle. Following in its footsteps was the GT model, revealed at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show. Now, there’s a new bespoke variant of the 570GT on offer, and it’s called the MSO Black Collection, bringing customers a custom exterior style, extra aural presence, and a slew of top-shelf standard features.

2018 McLaren Senna GTR Concept
It’s been only three months since McLaren unveiled the Senna as a successor to the P1, and the British firm has already confirmed that it will build a GTR version of the supercar. The announcement was made at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, where McLaren also unveiled a concept version of the upcoming track car. Called the Senna GTR, it follows in the footsteps of the P1 GTR as a track-only vehicle built in very limited numbers.
The GTR was unveiled only a couple of months after McLaren chief Mike Flewitt said that the firm wants to race the Senna at Le Mans. This version of the GTR won’t be able to do that due to existing FIA regulations and the fact that it’s being designed as a customer car, but McLaren will use the lessons it learns from this model to develop a proper Le Mans entry. 2018 McLaren Senna ’Carbon Theme’
Unveiled in late 2017, the Senna is the most radical supercar McLaren has built to date. Although it’s a bit less powerful than the P1, mostly because it doesn’t have an electric motor, the Senna surpasses everything the British firm has launched so far thanks to its extreme aerodynamics. And, it’s not just a benchmark for McLaren; it’s a big step forward for the entire supercar industry. The vehicle was named accordingly too, wearing the name of Formula One’s greatest driver, Ayrton Senna. With the Senna barely in production as of March 2018, McLaren has launched a limited-edition model called Carbon Theme.
Developed by McLaren Special Operations as part of five individual themes, the Carbon Theme is pretty much a bare carbon-fiber Senna. While this isn’t exactly new — the Senna itself is made of carbon-fiber almost entirely — this vehicle shows off its lightweight, composite construction with a transparent finish. The Carbon Theme also introduces the company’s new Hybrid Carbon Fiber wheels, which are made from forged aluminum and carbon-fiber, a design that makes them 10 percent lighter than the standard Senna wheels. 2018 McLaren MSO X
Launched in 2015, the McLaren Sports Series is the automaker’s most affordable lineup yet and already includes a handful of different variations. There’s the entry-level 540C, the more powerful 570S, the comfort-oriented 570GT, and even a spyder version. In 2016, McLaren also launched two race-spec variants, the 570S GT4 and 570S Sprint. Come 2018 and the British firmed introduced yet another version of the highly acclaimed sports car. But unlike its predecessors, this one was crafted by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division for the company’s largest U.S. importer. It goes by the name MSO X, and it’s essentially a road-legal 570S GT4.
Commissioned as an MSO Bespoke project by McLaren Newport Beach, the MSO X was designed to emulate the look and feel of the GT4 race car, but retain a fully road-legal status and some convenience features. It was unveiled at a special McLaren customer event near Las Vegas in late January, where all ten units were handed over to their customers. Yup, if you thought that the regular 570S was rare, the MSO X is a car you might not even see on public roads unless you attend McLaren meetings or certain open track days.

2019 McLaren 720S GT3
Launched in 2014, the McLaren Super Series included a batch of spectacular sports cars. Alongside the base 650S model, the British firm also launched the higher performance 675LT and the race-spec 650S GT3. Light, fast, and packed with the latest technology, the Super Series became McLaren’s most successful car. However, the British carmaker decided to replace it after only three years on the market. Its successor is called the 720S and boasts improvements in just about any department. It’s been six months since the 720S was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and McLaren announced that a race-spec GT3 version is also underway.
The new 720S GT3 will replace the 650S GT3, a vehicle that scored titles in all major motorsport series, including the Asian Le Mans Series, Australian GT championship, the Bathurst 12 Hour, Blancpain Endurance Cup and Pirelli World Challenge. But it won’t happen right away. Much like the 570S GT4, the 720S GT3 will have a trial season in 2018 and will completely replace the 650S in 2019, when it will be launched for customer teams.
In addition to the new race car, McLaren also announced plans to introduce a new racing program and a one-make GT series for customers. It’s also planning to appoint a network of motorsport retailers which will sell road and track products alongside each other. But more about all of this below.
2018 McLaren 720S Zenith Black By MSO
Introduced earlier this year at the Geneva International Motor Show, the McLaren 720S is the second addition to the Woking brand’s Super Series line, offering high-end exotic performance and styling in a more accessible package. Indeed, a daily driver supercar makes for a great fit in a place like Dubai, and as such, McLaren just dropped the above-featured one-off as the piece de resistance for this year’s Dubai International Motor Show. Built by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the brand’s in-house tuners and creative customization team, it’s dubbed the Zenith Black, and its got a careful selection of styling upgrades both inside and out that are sure to get noticed, even when the local police force consists of hoverbikes and Bugatti Veyrons.
All told, this is an utterly unique creation, as indicated by the “1 of 1” placard inside the cabin. MSO spent an extra 120 hours on top of the usual production process to bring it to life, and overall, we think it looks great. The theme pays homage to the idea of “achievement” in a distinctive fashion – read on to learn exactly what that means.
