• 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class L by Prior Design

The Mercedes E-Class L certainly doesn’t lack in luxury. But when you look at it, you have to admit that it still needs a little sprucing up to really deliver home the point that it’s a luxury limousine that shouldn’t be messed with.

The boys at Prior Design pretty much think the same way, so they did something that we couldn’t do from the comforts of our couch: they actually developed an aerodynamic kit to give the E-Class L a little more attitude.

Among the modifications Prior Design gave to the E-Class L include a new front bumper, a pair of new side skirts, a new rear bumper, a new set of 20" alloy wheels, and a new suspension set-up that improves the luxury saloon’s handling and characteristics.

Meanwhile, performance numbers were left untouched, which is a little disappointing. Then again, the E-Class L still has a plethora of power train options you can choose from, highlighted by a 4.7-liter V8 engine that produces just a shade under 400 horsepower.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read full bio

The new set of alloy wheels really help to have stronger stance on this E-Class.

@Lambocar2016 The modification and enhancement you are looking for is focused on the exterior like the new wheels and sidelines.

Prior Design’s attempt to make it look elegant sort of failed.

I understand why the modification is mostly on its style. What I don’t get is how I don’t see the enhancement at all.

Prior Design only made its style outrageous, but to me, it isn’t captivating in a positive way.

What do you expect? They modified its style since they’re primarily a designing company.

Why get disappointed? In my opinion, the engine already is pretty good because it is V8. They have managed to further enhance its exterior features but to me, the look still is not luxurious.

This Mercedes Benz was very luxurious. Well, I must say that the design and concept they have presented was fabulous. The wheels are greatly renowned and fine. The bumper was still very classic which makes it more practical to buy.

Well, Prior Design did a great job on this car. It is now mush of an appealing and luxurious looks. The wheels are simple yet classy enough for a car like this. The bumber now looks cool on it. Well done!
