Here’s another tuning upgrade for the Mercedes SLS AMG, adding up to what has become one of the most sought after high-performance project cars in the market today.

This latest piece of work comes courtesy of aftermarket experts RENNtech. You might remember these guys for having already worked on an SLS AMG in the past. This time around, they’re taking their work on the Merc supercar with a new performance upgrade that puts even more ponies under the car’s hood.

The tuning program features the addition of the company’s own tube headers that are made from high quality, tri-metal, 200 cell sport catalytic cells that have been ceramic coated in order to cut down on the heat in the engine compartment while also fighting off the thermal stress that the engine is subjected to. The tube’s design also gives room for the SLS AMG to improve its low end torque numbers and gives the supercar a better overall performance.

After the tuning work, RENNtech was able to add more bite to the SLS AMG’s bite, improving the 6.3-liter V8 engine’s output from the stock 563 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 479 lb/ft of torque at 4,750 rpm to 583 ponies and 500 lb/ft of torque. It’s not a mind-whopping number, but in this market, upgrades like this are more than enough to keep the SLS AMG ahead of its brethren.

What’s the difference of this vehicle from the other SLS AMG? Anyway, it’s a good thing that it also has a very efficient and impressive engine just like what its other model has.

It looks so aggressive with its air intake, and I really admire it on that. Moreover, I’m impressed already with its engine specification which I bet could truly give a nice speed on it.

I love the wheels on this SLS AMG, it is so cool for me but I must sayt that it really don’t have the looks of an impressive car. Good thing that they were planning an upgrade of this car.

It’s great to know that Mercedes upgrades the SLS AMG. It really gives the SLS AMG a better performance. I like how it improve it’s engine from 563 horsepower at 6,800 rpm to 6.3-liter V8 engine. This will keep SLS AMG ahead to any supercar out there!Great job to Mercedes! smiley

What they have done in this SLS AMG is a very good thing. Few changes for a successful car will put them on the top plus the safety of the car is shown here, I like the way they upgrade the car.

I’m really bored on SLS AMG version! The car looks the same as well as its details. Thus, we couldn’t admit that the car has an elegant styling. BTW, instead of using a 200 cell sport catalytic cell, why don’t the Mercedes improved its inter cooler system? The catalytic cell sounds so cheap!

The car seems to be in a long wheel base concept. It looks like a Panamera Turbo S from behind! The lengthy bonnet look so hideous on a coupe version but the tyres is quite sporty. The car has an impressive speed performance though its gas guzzler!
