I don’t know many cars that invite the kind fear that comes with seeing a Dartz Prombron->ke3830 barreling toward you in your rearview mirror. Lest we all forget, the Promboron is the all-conquering, military grade assault vehicle from the demented minds of Latvian manufacturer Dartz.->ke3829 On its own, the Prombron is already going to make your stomach quiver. But Dartz just had to create a special edition->ke2041 Black Shark "Spy Grey" model that’s as frightening as its name implies.

The model itself is based on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.->ke402 That’s a good thing because we won’t have to assume that it’s actually from another world entirely. But being based on the GL-Class is the only thing ‘ordinary’ about the Prombron Black Shark ‘Spy Grey’.

Everything about it speaks to the level of lunacy Dartz tries to share to the world. It’s got enough military-grade features to become an assault vehicle in its own right. It’s got a 6.0-liter, V-12 engine that’s been tuned to produce ungodly amounts of power. Heck, it even has electrochromatic privacy windows that I don’t even know how to properly encapsulate without getting little tinges in my arms.

In essence, the Dartz Prombron Black Shark is the car we all dream of owning. There’s nothing exotic about the Prombron Black Shark other than the fact that owning one will put you in the same class as fictional dictators from the fictional country of Wadiya.

Hardly the company to be proud of, but if it means sharing in the joys of the Prombron, none of that should even matter.

Dartz Prombron Black Shark in detail

The Prombron Black Shark isn’t your ordinary Prombron, even though calling the Prombron “ordinary” is probably the greatest understatement in the world. But that’s what you get when you’re being offered a vehicle inspired by the Black Shark helicopter. It’s got a Kevlar and titanium body that can protect owners from the perils of magnetic mines. It also has the aforementioned electrochromatic privacy windows, a rotating bulletproof grille, and disappearing doorhandles with its own shock-device.

If those aren’t enough to make you feel secure, Dartz also added grade B7 armor-plating, which is apparently the highest class of the Euronorm Standard For Security Glazing. In other words, the Prombron Black Shark is a literal fortress that moves. Even the roof is sniper resistant and it also has a distance explosive detector, a signal jammer, and a fingerprint and retina scanner, just in case somebody decides to try jacking your Prombron Black Shark. The shock devices would have probably done that trick on their own, but better to be safe than sorry, right?

In the event you somehow find yourself inside the Prombron Black Shark with all your faculties still intact, you’ll be treated to a pretty glamorous cabin that has engraved motifs depicting the history of aviation. It also has a champagne holder, an LTE hotspot, a Xbox One, a PlayStation 4, a golden shisha, and sterling silver, hand-polished flutes.

Under its hood, the Prombron Black Shark has the same 6.0-liter, twin-turbo, V-12 engine as the GL65 AMG. The only difference is that this one has 1,500 horsepower, and each one is needed to haul the massive weight of the Prombron.

All this is what's in store for you should you buy a Dartz Prombron Black Shark Spy Grey Edition. The company hasn't mentioned how much one will cost, although it did say that it's only building five units with all the bells and whistles included.
